Came on a Saturday afternoon, place was empty except for us and another couple. Food came out very fast and super hot, which was great because we were starving. The kid's Margherita pizza was delicious, crust was perfectly thin and sauce had good flavor. The kid's chicken strips and fries were good too-its a breaded chicken cutlet cut up (some kids can get picky). We started with the calamari which was just okay, not spectacular but not horrible either but wasnt a big portion either. Hubby got the Veal saltimbocca which he said was okay, couldnt give me specifics on why it wasnt good or bad. I got the beef tips pasta with the gorgonzola sauce and it was out of this world. Service was great, attentive but not overbearing. Would come again
We had dinner at Gio's with my family Friday evening and it was amazing. The food was prepared perfectly and the service was exceptional. I enjoyed the Terra & Mare while my Brother In-Law had the Parmigiana. Both dishes were delicious. The other six family members had wonderful dishes as well. Thank you for the outstanding quality by Gio himself.
We had the best dinner at Gio's last night. Our server couldn't have been more knowledgeable or accommodating. The food was high quality and skillfully prepared. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and we were allowed to take our time without feeling rushed. I would recommend it highly.
I for living in Macungie my whole life figured I needed to give this place a chance finally. I could not have been more impressed! The staff were friendly and perfectly helpful. And the food was amazing! Half of my family is Italian so we have a very high bar set when it comes to ordering out for Italian, but our pasta was cooked perfectly, the marinara was light and refreshing, grilled chicken was perfectly (not overly) seasoned, and the meatballs taste like Sunday dinner. Hats off, Gio! Will certainly be back.
It was our first time visiting and we were impressed. The Pescatore was delicious and filling! Also enjoyed the Berry Sangria. The staff was very friendly as well. Will return again for sure!
What a great place to eat. The Giovanna pizza was delicious and one of the best tasting pizzas I ever had. Service second to none, drinks never went empty and the food came hot. I would recommend Gio Italian grill to anyone.
