The food was amazing. Staying at the beach and wasn’t sure about driving over that way when someone told us about it and we are glad we did. Husband had grouper and shrimp scampi. I had flounder and shrimp and we ordered the crawfish dip. I will definitely go back.
I’ve known about Simply Seafood for some time now but never had the opportunity to go. Absolutely lives up to the hype. Really cute coastal atmosphere. Casual. Friendly and punctual staff. I’ve read where people did complain about the parking. I don’t understand the issue. You can park in front or back with doors at both the front and back. Family friendly. A lot of locals eat there. They serve beer and wine. Non alcoholic drinks are self served. Their amazing food runs 5-8 dollars per entree than what you get at other places and the food is 15-20 dollars better per entree. They don’t have fried food. Which is fine by me. But, if you want fried shrimp or fried oysters/fish. This isn’t your place. That being said… they offer several types of fish. FRESH. Shrimp and oysters several different ways. They have 3 soups. I got the lobster bisque. Wonderful. I created a combo with 1/2 lb crab legs and shrimp scampi. You get a choice of 2 sides. I chose the cheesy grits. The best grits I’ve ever had and I’m a grit eater. And I’ve eaten at some good places. I also got the steamed vegetable, so good. Our entire table enjoyed that there were several selections. Our server was cheerful and always on time. One of my fellow diners got the lobster and steamed shrimp. She loved it and that lobster tail was meaty. Fried food loving husband got a half rack of ribs. Very meaty and tender and he was happy. Their desserts are home made and looked amazing but we were all stuffed. Next time though
We will eat there on a regular basis. So happy that what I read about Simply Seafood was accurate
I am on a strict meal plan, and the food here is fabulous.. the broccoli is perfectly cooked and fresh. The Mahi Mahi was moist and flavorful... it was the perfect meal out that I did not feel like I was missing out. Staff are always friendly.
We were in Panama City in a short getaway and were looking for some good seafood. A local, recommended Simply Seafood in Lynn Haven.
Now I love little hole in the wall local establishments. And Simply Seafood met that criteria. Small, out of the way building didn’t look like much but we were well pleased.
We got there early, around 4:30 pm, so the place looked empty. We were sitting quickly and met promptly by our server. I’m glad we got there early, because by the time we left, the place was packed and there was a wait for tables.
Limited menu, but what they had they did very well. I ordered the steamed shrimp, sliced potatoes and corn on the cob.
Shrimp was nicely done and very well seasoned. Cocktail sauce was in the table and nice and tangy. Potatoes were soft and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Corn was buttery and excellent.
My wife, is not a seafood eater, so she ordered the burger. Large, juicy patty, nicely flavored. Excellent burger.
Service was great! Atmosphere was fun and had a local vibe. Prices were reasonable and didn’t gouge you like the “strip” seafood places.
Highly recommend if you’re in the area! When you’re visiting a tourist area, always ask the locals where they eat, you won’t go wrong!
Great seafood and service. Ashley was our server. She was fantastic!!!!
We've eaten here before. This is a review for the Lobster Bisque. The rest of the food was good. I'm not sure what happened, but this was way to thick like pudding almost and had little taste to it. I think we may have gotten three tiny pieces of lobster. Definitely not worth the 7 dollar price. Definitely wouldn't order again.
They improved alot! I am very happy with the food and the amount of food you receive. The food was flavorful and fast!
I best this place is packed during the tourist season and at night. Did lunch and it was great. Oysters excellent. Grouper good so glad it wasn’t fried, steamed nicely. Veggies great.
I’m sure this is a crazy busy place normally.
Visiting from Houston, a friend brought us here for dinner. She and I had Snow Crab leg dinner (comes with potatoes, corn and sausage). My husband had a dozen raw oysters and shrimp scampi with sides. The food was great! Cooked perfectly with normal seasoning (not hot Cajun spices thankfully) and plentiful. The only thing missing was a plastic bib. I'm a messy eater.😆 Relaxed atmosphere and the music was truly background music. You could talk without yelling. Looking forward to coming back next time I'm in town
Best place to eat in the area period. Very good service friendly waiter's.
Oyster are delicious and omg gotta try the flounder mine was very small but delicious 😋.
I got key lime pie it's a definite gotta have
So if you haven't ate here or bought oysters you must.
