Dutch mothers is a unique experience. It is an older building that looks like it may once have been a house, and it is decorated with all manner of interesting things
Secondly, the food is one of a kind. It's not like every cookie cutter restaurant these days. The offerings like pannekoek and sausages with pierogies are thing you just don't see elsewhere.
They also offer their own homemade pies for dessert, and the coffee is actually good and not your typical restaurant coffee.

The breakfast that I had of the Dutch pancake with lots of bacon and two eggs that were cooked to perfection was awesome. The Dutch Pancake is extremely large and was on a platter size plate and still hung over the edges by several inches. The service was also outstanding, I would definitely recommend this restaurant for all travelers even if it means going out of your way.

Service was rushed. Had to get a group of people out of the isle to just get in our table. Tried to order for my son, wife and myself and the server was acting like she was in a marathon race. Had to stop her twice to finish our simple order. Took about 15 minutes for the food to arrive, so not too bad of a wait. However... I was literally about to get up and leave because the place smelled so disgusting. I could smell nothing but urinal cakes. The food was decent, but seemed like it had already been cooked before we got there. After drinking our coffee (best part of our $70 breakfast) and eating our overpriced reheated food... We realized that the $3 per person Continental breakfast at the resort was the best deal around and was always fresh. I am hesitant to going back to this place again. We drive up once a year for a week and this was supposed to be our treat before going back home.
The entire city of Lynden starts closing up shops between 4pm and 6pm.
So if you are looking for any place to stop, be sure to show up early in the day to avoid any closures or delays.
Maybe the smell just put me in a foul mood, but for a first time visit at the price of an all you can eat lobster and steak dinner for 4...
Not impressed.

I've never been disappointed! They are kind, and attentive. Two times now, they've special made fresh biscuits and gravy for me. And boy are they good! The theme of the restaurant is very cute, cozy and rustic!

Super cute family friendly place to eat. Comfort food and huge portions! Great to share or take home for later.

This place is always great. I went for breakfast this time, but their split pea soup is freaking excellent. My wife rants about it's greatness

We always try to stop here when we pass through Lynden. We love their pannekoekens. And the pies are amazing.
