Lyman Cafe

A great local place that has a lunch and dinner buffet and also a menu selection for breakfast (I think breakfast is the only one they dont offer a buffet on), lunch and dinner foods. The food is incredible and better than any national chain for breakfast or anything else. The prices are great and the food is cooked perfectly. So far I've only had the breakfast which was perfectly cooked bacon which was crisp, perfect sausage and well really everything. The hashbrowns and eggs were also cooked perfect and most importantly the grits were which is great because grits which I love are either wrong or right there is no in between. I will be trying their other foods both from the menu and looking very forward to trying the lunch and dinner buffet! If it was up to me I'd want to eat here 3 times a day, everyday.

The reason for the 3 stars is the service. The server was very nice and kept our drinks filled. The breakfast buffet was cold, most of the food was overcooked and it wasn't very tasty. The smoked sausage tasted like beef jerky, the pancakes were hard and tough to cut, the eggs were tasty once I added salt. There were crabcakes on the buffet and they were so fishy I only took one bite. The gravy tasted like flour and milk with a couple if chunks of sausage in it. This was at 715 am! I tried to use the salt on the table and it was clumped up so bad it wouldn't shake out. I went to 3 tables with the same results. The place wasn't very clean and everything you touched was sticky. Unfortunately, we will not return.

Delicious food. Great service. There's a buffet and a menu so you have a choice. Menu is online. Buffet has fried chicken, greens, macaroni, salad, and a lot more to choose from plus a small selection of desserts. Also you can get take out from the buffet for a set price instead of weighing the box. Highly recommended restaurant. I'll be going back.

Lyman Café has very delicious food!!! I was on a business trip in Greer for 2 days and ate both days here for lunch. I've never been a fan of grits but the Grits n Shrimp OMG they were very delicious.... Everything on the Buffet bar was excellent. I travel the 48 states for work and the place is definitely on my top 3 places for Southern Country Food!!! Must try this place. They also do To Go Buffet and this place is also Trucker Friendly. They have a great Chef Omar!

The crabs were fabulous! Out waitress, Michele, said people said they were better than the coast. My granddaughter said they were very good! The mac and cheese was really good. The salad was cold and crisp. The buffet included: trout, cat fish, shrimp fried, steamed shrimp, and collards, fried zucchini, scallops, mashed potatoes and more. Definitely a restaurant we'll go back to.
