Excellent food! Highly recommended! I love the interior design and it’s very pretty! I’m not from here so it felt cool to feel a local vibe in this restaurant.

Great service, good atmosphere, and really good food. I had their land and sea special. The steak was good, the vegetables were really good, and whatever sauce they put on the fried shrimp was literally the tastiest thing I've ever eaten. Literally. Not figuratively, literally.

Stopped by Ludington to grab dinner in the evening and Blu Moon was one of a few places open. As a visitor, I was satisfied with the local Uncle John's apple blueberry cider. Sesame balls with red bean past and sticky rice was a great appetizer. We ordered a Pot Roast and though it's name suggested it would have an apple cider flavor it didn't seem to be there. The Laotian Noodle Bowl was very tasty, but due to the spice level (that wasn't noted) I wasn't able to truly enjoy or finish it unfortunately. If you like spicy food, I do recommend. They comped me for that and I got an impossible burger and Asiago fries instead which satisfied me.

The restaurant has a cool vibe inside. Service was just okay. Inconsistency in freshness of food sent out. Pot roast was tender with good flavor but more than half the portion was pieces of fat. I didn't like the gravy at all. The cream corn was gross. Everyone at my table thought so. The menu simply stated "vegetable" at this price point I was definitely confused by canned cream corn. The carrots were crunchy which I don't necessarily mind but didn't match the tender pot roast theme. They appeared to be cooked separately from the roast and were cold. Mashed potatoes were flavorless but hot. My son ordered the NY strip pictured. On the menu it says signature steak with potato and vegetable. Again confused by the corn and the huge amount of it. The steak was literally on a bed of canned corn. Steak was overcooked and just okay. ($27) My husband got the French Dip sandwich with Au jou . It was ok. The asagio fries were completely cold and old. We had to ask for refills twice. The waitress informed us the kitchen was running slow after about 15 minute wait. So we ordered chips and salsa. Salsa was very sweet. Expensive and underwhelming.

We had delightful dinner after a 45 minute wait for a seat. The Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer was very crispy and the spicy sauce was the perfect addition. My wife really enjoyed the Bay of Fundy Salmon with the mashed potatoes, bacon and green beans, and the spicy creamed corn. My Laotian Noodle Bowl was full of very crispy vegetables and chicken. The sweet and spicy sauce made a very flavorful meal with an excellent portion size. We shared the creme brulee for dessert. It was unique with a slight hint of salted caramel to it. The entire staff was friendly and on task. They were working hard to move people through. Our server,Alaina , was awesome. Her personality was exactly what we appreciate, a little bit of personal conversation and an attention to detail that completed the dining experience.

The wait was around 45 minutes to get a table on the roof but there were plenty of benches and things to see nearby during the wait. The rooftop was cool and completely shaded. Our server, Ben, was incredible and made us feel comfortable more than any server we've ever had (in any restaurant). He was quite knowledgeable about the food and drink selections and was able to help us make decisions to suit our tastes. What a great guy! The food was delicious - the lobster nachos had large chunks of lobster in them! The sushi was pretty good as well, and my burger hit the spot. We hear the downstairs menu has different options so we would love to go back and try them!

Visited this place with some girlfriends while we were on vacation. The restaurant is located perfectly in Ludington's downtown area next to multiple stores, making it an easy, central and popular location to met up for food! Now, I gave this place a four, not for their normal menu items (which were fine, just normal food, nothing too fancy) but for their sushi!! That is where this place really shines!! We sampled a number of different sushi rolls and it all was amazing, arriving fresh, presented to you beautifully and with a number of sides to accompany your tables choice! Be prepared, it's not uncommon to wait a bit for your sushi to arrive to your table, especially if they are extremely busy, but I'll tell you this, it is ALL worth the wait! All in all, a very nice spot to stop for lunch or dinner!
