The Bistro

Normally they are really good and I can justify spending $11 on breakfast here and there. However, today I called in an order and since I have gluten sensitivities, I ordered the gluten free toast. The girl said they were out of it. No problem. I ask what I can substitute for it and she says white or wheat toast. I then tell her that I can't eat regular bread b/c of sensitivities and ask what I can get. She says just regular toast, anything else is extra. I question her because they want to charge me to substitute something I can eat in its place when they are out of it! Really? You're out of the toast I can eat and I'm sure food cost wouldn't kill you to give me some freaking fruit or oatmeal at no charge. Why is your ill preparedness my problem and at my expense? I may not return because of how rude she was about it. Sad, we are across the street and place orders several times a week for breakfast and lunch. I hope that .45 was worth it!
