We had time I'm between baseball games so I figured we would try this place out, worst experience ever! We waited over an hour for our food and went to tell the waitress we had to leave just to get charged for our meal that we never received. A larger group showed up after us ( my family of 3) and were served theirs first. This waitress didn't offer to make things right with us at all. Not to mention the entire wait staff was in the back just standing around not checking on tables at all.This is definitely not a place to go eat unless you want to wait forever!

I took my family here to eat breakfast. This place used to be so amazing and everything has changed in a very bad way. We will never ever come here again. We had to sit at a dirty table for 30 minutes waiting for someone to clean it and finally serve us. When the lady finally came she took our drinks and our food order. After that she never came back. We waited an hour and 45 minutes for our food. My fiancé and I looked in the kitchen. They had plates of food stacked on top of each other like they were dirty plates. The employees were touching the food with there bare hands and throwing it on the plate. It was very unsanitary and very disgusting. Once we noticed that we decided to leave. That was a very disgusting environment and very unprofessional. I highly recommend not coming here. If I could give negative stars I would.

---I wish I didn't have to give them a rating. 1 star is more than they deserve---We went with a group 20+ on a Saturday night before 8:00 PM. When we pulled up we noticed that the door said 9:30 PM. PERFECT! ( well we thought) we walked in and a lady was locking the other door. She then told me they had decided to close early. She could have cared less about the money that they were fixing to get. They could have cared less about the other two cars who pulled up and also tried the door. They could have cared less about the money in the future that we would have spent. SO I will never go bank to any Georges. Do not count on this restaurant !! Go to a place that appreciates their customers.

Uh.....?. So I decided to try George's for the first time today. Bad decision. I walked in and did not see a sign that said seat yourself so I stood at the front counter as a worker was filling a drink. She turned and looked at me and walked off to the back. I stood there for another 5 minutes, not one single person came to the front counter. I left. I will not be back.

20% discount on dinner menu for seniors ,. Asked for senior discount and was told by the waitress I would get a cheaper cut and smaller portion if I asked for discount. I never did get through to her that this is a rip-off. Service painfully slow,except waitress's mother sitting booth next to me.That (hand breaded chicken fry ) is a laugh, It is a frozen patty no doubt about it.

Tonight we ate at georges restaurant at 6914 82nd st. We arrived at seven fifty, and the waitress immediately informed us that they would be closing at eight thirty, because we were the "only people we have had in an hour"... except for the table of six or so already seated in the dining room waiting for their food. We received poor service, and our orders were made wrong. When I complained about being served salsa that was literally tomato flavored water, I was told that "all the salsa looks like that today." When I asked to speak to a mgr or supervisor I was told he was "back there". What?? I feel that we received poor service from a staff who was ready to lock the doors in the middle of the dinner hour. I actually said to the waitress "how about a few less excuses and a little more bringing the correct food?" We were shocked, since we have been good customers of this restaurant for years. The waitress actually complained about us to the other table seated in the restaurant. A patron of that table actually come over to confront us about the staff being in a new environment. I think to save face (and her tips) she told them it was a new restaurant or something of that nature. We have been eating there for years. The experience was ridiculous, even laughable. The enchiladas are great, but if you want reasonable service go early. The girls who work there at lunch are great, we have never experienced anything like this at georges before.

Poor service. I came in at about 8 pm on friday november 30th. The door said they close at 930pm they slapped my order down on my table never refilled my drink and acted like they couldn't get me to leave fast enough. if you don't want return customers you have got your wish. For just a couple of dollars more I could have gone to Golden coral and felt welcomed. So long Georges!

Official Texan Gourmet Review: <br/>Howdy Y'all! As with any review done by the Texan Gourmet, the establishment is tried 3 times to get the most accurate rating. George's is a fine place to eat. Hearty portions, low prices and good polite service. The chicken fried steak is an excellent choice especially when it is their special of the day; one can get a chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, corn, two pieces of toast, a side salad, and drink for under $10. Occasionally it does get packed but that's just because the staff at George's is serving up good home style cookin'. The entrees are very good but they're burgers are what they're known for. George's is a must try, and if you're just tired and half starved for an honest meal they'll treat you right.

It's pretty good, but expect to wait (especially on weekends). The waitresses seem to run around at times and it's taken up to 20 min to place an order, but it's kind of expected. If you want to get in and out, head McDonalds down the street. If you want a big breakfast burrito and a place to sit down and enjoy your meal, this place works.

Oct 21 2011 4:35 arrival. Food was excellent, service very poor, took over 25 minutes for order to be filled, cook/manager had excuse that omelet took longer to fix, but sat on stool talking to female for more than 5 minutes after we turned order in, two couples that came in later, one 10 minutes later got food first, were in about 4:35 left without finishing meal at 5:30
