For being relative somewhat close to Grand Rapids it is a gem in the rough. They have good food and good service. It's in the small town close to good shopping.

My friend & I were not at all familiar with Big Boiler Brewing and decided to try it Our server, Chris, was great at answering our questions and he was fun! We shared an order of House-made Tots--loaded with jalapenos, crisp bacon, and a special cheese sauce. M'mmmmm! Next, we shared a piece ---- no, a Huge Slab --- of carrot cake. Moist. Just the right amount of frosting. Just the right amount of spice. A small drizzle of caramel. One of those masterpieces that one eats slowly and each bite gets better. Chris gave immense credit to Carrie (sp?) who made the cake. We were celebrating my friend's 70th birthday, and Big Boiler Brewing ended up being the perfect place!

My wife and I stopped here for a beer and dinner. The beers were okay. We got the CA Reuben and French Dip and both were awesome. We weren't in a hurry so it was okay that it took a while to get our food. But if you're in a hurry I wouldn't plan for a meal here, they seem short staffed. There were a few drunk people at the bar with the typical profanities but I guess you have to expect that at a bar. I would recommend this place for the food.

We recently ate here and it was awesome!!! Zach was our waiter, and he had a challenge because there was 12 in our group. He was very friendly and funny. The food was delivered in a timely manner, and was very delicious!! It was our first time there, but we will definitely be going back!! Thanks Zach!!!

Incredibly helpful service as always. Beer cheese bread isn't what it used to be but the sandwiches were excellent! Love the dinners here. Not enough ginger in the mule meant an entire extra glass of ginger beer served, nice! A bit noisy at times but the bar and TV's are all in the same room as the normal tables and booths so that's to be expected. Awesome tots!

Stopped in for lunch. First time at the restaurant. For only having 1 server, the service was fast and friendly. The food order was correct except for a side of sweet potato fries. The offer to correct it was quick and sincere, but waived off. Food was so good, my 2 boys were quite and still. I would recommend trying.

We stopped for dinner after seeing a concert at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids. It was later in the evening (around 8) so it wasn't super busy. Serve was good, the food was great! We will be back soon!

How have I not discovered this place before now? Randomly decided to try it since I drive through Lowell every day. Fantastic! Beers are good to great (I tried 3), the Cubano sandwich I had was absolutely delicious. My server Karie was friendly, knowledgeable, and over all took great care of a first time customer. I'll definitely be back!

First time diners. Appealing interior. Dance music was pumping out of the stereo, I thought that was a little wrong for the setting. Service was good. Food came out fairly quick. Both of us had salads, average quality and taste. I had a beer, Beach,please....very light. I probably wouldn't have that one again. Worth a second taste.
