Went for first time for lunch today. Service was friendly but a little slow at times considering we were the only ones in the place. Spring Roll was good but wish they would have brought some dipping sauce instead of drizzling it over the roll for me. My son had the Bangkok Basil with beef and he said it was pretty good. I had the General Cassia with chicken. I thought it was good but did not like how they put a bed of lettuce in the bottom of the bowl, thought the dish was a little small for the price (it is chicken) and the taste was more "brown" than I was anticipating. When I saw the name...I was hoping it would taste more like General Tso's chicken but it did not. I will go back to try something else although I might get takeout next time.
Just ate here again using take out. Epic failure. Got the Crying Tiger Special and was completely disappointed. 3 small take out dishes was $60. 2 of the orders were for the Crying Tiger Special and it was absolutely the worst rice of any kind I have ever had in my life. Was supposed to be sticky rice...was a blob of some type of rice in some type of saran wrap inside of an aluminum wrap. Was just absolutely bad in every way. Won't be going back...major disappointment
I’ve tried many of the Thai restaurants in the area and this is one of the best. The portions were large and all three dishes - General Cassia, drunken noodles with tofu and a fried rice were excellent and reasonably priced. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. Tables were elegantly set and decor was fun and interesting. Give it a try!
Second visit - just as good as the first - excellent tofu pad Thai and Basil fried rice with shrimp and a pot of cardamom tea on a cold day. The server was charming and pleasant and efficient.
We were in town for the holiday and decided to check this place out for lunch. I got the lunch special pad thai and wonton soup. I wanted something different than the typical thai ice tea so the server suggested matcha flavored iced coffee and it was sooo delicious. The noodle in pad thai was prepared and cooked so well. It’s soft, yet chewy and snappy. The dish is saucy and flavorful but not too much where it makes the noodle soggy and mushy. The wonton soup was different in a good way. It has shiitake mushrooms, broccoli, carrot, and cabbage so the broth was very flavorful. The portion and price is very good for a small town area.
Definitely would recommend.
Finally tried this place and it was SO GOOD. First off, the decoration and ambiance are very cute and inviting, great for a date night. There were decorated Christmas-theme wall and Christmas tree. As soon as we walked in, the staff was friendly and attentive but not bothersome (if you know what I mean). We didn't really know what to order but the waitress did a great job asking us what our taste preferences are, as opposed to recommending the safe and generic dish. We got the Panang Curry with shrimp and Hong Kong Cashew Nuts with Chicken. The curry was so creamy and flavorful. The best part was the shrimps were huge. It's a good feeling knowing they didn't cheap out on the ingredient. And I was definitely getting what I paid for. The Hong Kong Cashew Nuts with Chicken was so good with a side of rice. My date and I had a great time.
Good food & Good time!
Will definitely back again!
Awesome local find. Food was fantastic. Best wonton soup I've ever had and the crying tiger special was great. Everything was awesome and it's cute shop. It was decorated for Easter.
I had a wonderful time at their tasting! Kevin was a fantastic host and there wasn’t a bite of food I didn’t enjoy. The shrimp Pad Thai is to die for!
This little restaurant is an absolute hidden gem. While I don't find myself in Lovettsville often, I now have a compelling reason to visit more frequently. It's a family-owned establishment with charming décor that exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere. What's particularly fantastic is that they don't use MSG in their cooking, which is a big plus for those with allergies.
The food here is not just good; it's fresh and exceptionally tasty. If you ask for extra spicy, they'll deliver exactly that! My husband was thrilled with the level of heat in his dish. I ordered the Crispy Ka Pow Special (beef), and it was hands down the best crispy beef I've had in a long time.
We also tried the Panang Curry with Chicken, Tom Yum Soup, and Asian Ginger dishes, and everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their selections. We decided to give the Kobe Roll a shot as well. While it wasn't quite to my liking, my husband found it unique and delicious.
Without a doubt, we'll be returning patrons. I encourage everyone to visit and support this wonderful local, family-owned business. You won't be disappointed!
Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food!
The decor is adorable and inspired. Always quiet, fun modern bistro music on. Chairs and booths are clean and comfortable.
One time we got to chat with the owner who was there waiting tables on a busy night.
Apparently having a tiny kitchen meant online orders could pile up, and there were several people waiting on their food to go. We always dine in though, and have a relaxing experience. That one time we even got to hear the story behind the theme of the restaurant!
The cooks make some dang good Thai food. My favorite dish so far is the drunken noodles (sauce and veggies, yeees), which I have with tasty fried Tofu. They have delicious Thai tea too (try with extra cream!).
Next time you have a date you want to impress, visiting friends or fam, or just wanna treat yourself, treat yourself to some Cassia.
Pretty good food although the portion sizes are odd - teriyaki chicken was tiny, general Tso was massive. The chefs knife skills are poor as all the chicken was cross cut in a way that the pieces were like long legged spiders. Tom yum soup was great - spicy!
I just found out about this place opening up about a year ago and frankly, their food is just too notch. Having lived in Elliott city, these guys feel like I haven’t left at all! If your looking for very good Thai, this is the place!! Highly recommend!!
Cassia is a truly lovely and wonderful bistro! The staff are so very sweet, helpful, and happy to answer any questions you have. I got a bubble tea and the pafu. They both tasted heavenly! The pafu looks amazing but tastes even better than it looks! If you're thinking about coming here, I highly recommend it!!
Really delicious food and great service. The broccoli sunshine was delicious. We will definitely be back.
This Thai restaurant is an absolute gem! The flavors burst with authenticity, and the Pad Thai is simply divine. The warm and inviting ambiance makes it the perfect spot in Lovettsville. Highly recommend the Thai Tea!
The food was very good and the ambiance was very pretty. The pre-set tables are a nice touch.
I love Cassia Asian Bistro!! The thai basil friend rice is amazing. The garden rolls are delicious. Everything we have ordered has been wonderful and the portions are great. Please support them!! We need good food in Lovettsville like this.
After an online ordering fiasco and 45 minutes of back and forth, we finally got the order straightened out. We picked up the food and brought it home to enjoy. Everything was delicious. We will order again.
Very quiet on a Sunday night.... We were the only ones in there...... The food and service was excellent with generous proportions. They were very busy with takeout orders. Would definitely go there again
Been once, the food was excellent. Hard yo gage the service since we were the only ones in the restaurant. They apparently do a huge take out business.
