Went for first time for lunch today. Service was friendly but a little slow at times considering we were the only ones in the place. Spring Roll was good but wish they would have brought some dipping sauce instead of drizzling it over the roll for me. My son had the Bangkok Basil with beef and he said it was pretty good. I had the General Cassia with chicken. I thought it was good but did not like how they put a bed of lettuce in the bottom of the bowl, thought the dish was a little small for the price (it is chicken) and the taste was more "brown" than I was anticipating. When I saw the name...I was hoping it would taste more like General Tso's chicken but it did not. I will go back to try something else although I might get takeout next time. Just ate here again using take out. Epic failure. Got the Crying Tiger Special and was completely disappointed. 3 small take out dishes was $60. 2 of the orders were for the Crying Tiger Special and it was absolutely the worst rice of any kind I have ever had in my life. Was supposed to be sticky rice...was a blob of some type of rice in some type of saran wrap inside of an aluminum wrap. Was just absolutely bad in every way. Won't be going back...major disappointment
I’ve tried many of the Thai restaurants in the area and this is one of the best. The portions were large and all three dishes - General Cassia, drunken noodles with tofu and a fried rice were excellent and reasonably priced. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. Tables were elegantly set and decor was fun and interesting. Give it a try! Second visit - just as good as the first - excellent tofu pad Thai and Basil fried rice with shrimp and a pot of cardamom tea on a cold day. The server was charming and pleasant and efficient.
We were in town for the holiday and decided to check this place out for lunch. I got the lunch special pad thai and wonton soup. I wanted something different than the typical thai ice tea so the server suggested matcha flavored iced coffee and it was sooo delicious. The noodle in pad thai was prepared and cooked so well. It’s soft, yet chewy and snappy. The dish is saucy and flavorful but not too much where it makes the noodle soggy and mushy. The wonton soup was different in a good way. It has shiitake mushrooms, broccoli, carrot, and cabbage so the broth was very flavorful. The portion and price is very good for a small town area. Definitely would recommend.
