Chili's

It's about time to update this review, since this location has improved about 100% since my last review. This Chili's location is on our Sunday lunch rotation. Since we generally arrive within 20 minutes of opening we never have a wait. We also like to sit in the bar, so the wait is even less of a wait. A large part of the reason we sit in the bar is because of Kelsey. She's been there every Sunday we've visited for probably close to two years, and she is AWESOME. She always greets us with a smile, know what we like to drink, and brings us an order of Chips and Salsa right off the bat. After a major upgrade a couple years ago the restaurant has a very nice, welcoming feel. To be honest, before this recent renovation I was completely unaware that there were tables behind the bar. #WhoKnew? I tend to rotate through 2 or 3 menu items (the Classic Nachos, the Chipotle Bowl, or the R̶a̶n̶c̶h̶e̶r̶o̶ ̶C̶h̶i̶c̶k̶e̶n̶ ̶S̶o̶f̶t̶ ̶T̶a̶c̶o̶s̶ --no...wait...they discontinued those for some asinine reason). Ok, so I rotate between two things. My sole complaint any more is that the music played in the bar (and, perhaps, throughout the restaurant) is often Too Freakin' Loud. I like the music, but I also like to be able to talk to my server and to my wife. We've mentioned it to a couple servers and to another patron or two and they don't disagree. During Covid I wondered how this Chili's would fare. At times they were open, other times not, of just the bar would be open, or open with limited staff. I was genuinely concerned for the staying power of this location because, even to us, it looked like it was one the precipice of disaster a number of times. I have to congratulate the managers and the staff that stayed in the fight. Well done.

Let me tell you something… If you do not believe the community is important, believe me now! I was first introduced to the Chili’s on Hurstbourne lane during Covid. When are we could do is pick up orders. Since then I make a weekly trip just to see the ladies in gentleman who got me through the most hard time at any of us have endured. I walk in, they call me by your name I know what I’m drinking and typically know what I’m eating. Susan, Blake and the manager, Ned, a force to be reckoned with, Susan and Blake are my absolute favorite bartenders. You do not have to go to some fancy Mexican restaurant to enjoy an amazing margarita of chili to try great prices great drinks, amazing food. Kind of people and extreme professionalism. You will not be disappointed.

Took my sis to lunch. Both of us tried the $10 lunches. Had to cut burger in half to manage it. Wound up taking it home as carry out. Potato soup was thick and creamy. Upon arriving was shown to a table almost immediately. Noise level was a little high but then I'm sensitive to noise. Certainly quieter than C. B. We very much enjoyed ourselves.
