Loved this cute dive bar!!! Had fun playing pool! Drinks were awesome...and so were the french fries! Great atmosphere! Definitely will return! Highly recommend!
Went to the back door after not visiting for a while and it has changed. The crowd is different, the music is different, and the vibe is different. The food is still good and it's still a good spot to go grab a drink. I just missed seeing the "usuals".
Staff is always really nice, although they get really busy at night (of course bc they're a bar but still) they are able to keep up and if you're fairly a regular, they remember you making the experience a little more personal and comforting. Since the passing of the owner John, it's been very hard to go back into the The Back Door. But eventually I did and the new staff is amazing. The wings are still the best in Louisville that's for sure. I still love the Backdoor and always will.
Could have used a 3rd bartender due to how busy it was during our visit. My hot wings were on par. 2nd time I've been here, satisfied both times. I rarely cross the river but will be here again to come to this gem of a hole in the wall.
The back door has been around for I don’t know how long. We used to go there, for the great drinks - they used to give us double shots of everything; especially the Long Island Ice Tea. You have to be 21 to enter but you will find the best boneless wings you’ve ever had. The special today was the pork and pineapple carnitas and they were also delicious! A must try.
*Best wings in Louisville*... a hidden gem for these chicken wings. Very chill atmosphere, little musty but overall totally worth the wait for these wings!!!
Local hangout that's always a vibe known for their wings .....they are great! And those pepperjack cheese balls are life.

Very laid back with a mixed crowd. Live sports on the televisions , a couple arcade games , pool tables , big bar and delicious food. Definitely worth a visit. The bombers are delicious and a must try. Great environment if you wanna get out the house and chill somewhere other than home
Interesting little dive bar. Prices were reasonable, food was decent, staff was friendly.
Stop by on a recommendation from our hotel...just passing through town. Seems like a local handout. Drinks were good and very reasonable price. Bartender was helpful. We order wings to go...wings were good!! Really wish we had more time to hang out. Seems like a fun play to spend some time.
Great place to enjoy Happy Hour, sports, billiards, darts, socializing. Food is great too.
