Buca Di Beppo Italian Restaurant

The food was excellent. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Of course the restaurant was very busy. Having reservations helped manage the number of people coming in. Very easy seating. Now, why the 4 stars. We didn't know prior to seating that we'd have our meal in the Pope room. None of us, not even the catholic patrons in our party, appreciated looking at the head/face of the Pope sitting in the middle of the table on top of the lazy Susan throughout our entire meal. Yes, the room is named the Pope room and the walls and ceilings were decorated with art and pictures, that was okay. It was just the ceramic head looking at you and blocking your view of the person seated across from you. That made it difficult to hold a conversation with that person. I had to keep looking around the Pope 🙁 I did like eating at a round table. Perfect size for our group. Conversations were easy to have with everyone, except for the people across from you. The lazy Susan is a perfect way to share the various dishes. Better than passing a dish down by hand. I'll be back but not to the Pope room 😊

The waitress was really good. The kitchen over cooked the pizza. They never brought it out, just recooked it. Waitress could not have been nicer about it and handled it well. They were out of draft beer and some bottles. They were also out of Pepsi. It’s been my experience these are bad signs for a restaurant. No worries we still had a good experience. My wife added the women’s restroom was gross. Kinda dirty. Place was just half full on a Friday evening. I’d might consider a whole house super cleaning. Place did seem to be getting long in the tooth.

Chef Michael and his staff made our Thanksgiving wonderful! The food was outstanding (both the turkey dinner and the pasta). Our server Koray was attentive without hovering, and Sara was welcoming and made all of us feel at home, especially my elderly mother who needed accommodations. We'll definitely be back soon.
