The biscuits and gravy were amazing! Our server was on point, and my coffee cup never went empty. It's a great place for breakfast.

This place is perfect and everything you'd ever want in a diner. The staff rock and the food is awesome. It's a blessing just to go in the place.

Our first time at Wagner's Pharmacy. We arrived about 8:30 in the morning for breakfast and seated ourselves. This place is not fancy, but really cool looking with old formica table tops and the walls are covered in old horse racing memorabilia. Our waitress came over and got our drink order while we looked over the menu. My husband decided on the Pam and Jack omelet that was featured on Throw Down with Bobby Flay. I chose the ham and cheese omelet and decided to add gravy to my side of biscuits, because they had won best of Louisville. Our drinks came out in styrofoam cups (which was nice for a tea to go). Our breakfast came quickly and my husbands omelet was huge! I think it was twice the size of mine and mine wasn't little by any means. The biscuits were light and fluffy, maybe the best I have ever had out. I wish they were served with real butter instead of country crock.  The gravy on the other hand was just ok. It might have been a mix, either way I was not impressed. Something I found a little odd, our omelets were served on real plates but our biscuits came on styrofoam plates. What keeps this from getting a higher score was our server. She was not overly busy, but was not friendly and never came back to check on us. She took our order, brought our drinks and dropped off our food and check at the same time. There was another waitress that was talking with her customers and smiling, getting refills for them. Our waitress missed the mark.

Great place for a burger and some history of Churchill Downs. Down home food and kind servers. I am sure Derby Time this place is jamming! Park in the gravel lot and step back in time....

It's like going to your granny's favorite restaurant back home. It's home cooking with a lot of history for racing. Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming.

Local historical GEM! It is certainly an old pharmacy connected with a diner/ mom and pop style. This is where all the great horse history has went down over the years. Has plenty of Derby history as well- featured Disney movie Secretariat. Highly recommend the breakfast or a good burger! Stop in before you hit the track!

Checked it or this morning after hearing about out it for years. It was great! We ordered breakfast and every thing was cooked perfectly. Service fast and friendly. I wish it was open on weekends because we would go back tomorrow.

While at first glance the building may not seem enticing on the outside, it is the perfect fit for a racetrack pharmacy diner that has been feeding the appetites of horsemen and women for over ninety years. With almost every inch of wall space lined with Kentucky Derby memorabilia, Wagner's is a must do stop for anyone interested in Churchill Downs history.

Simple but really good diner right across from Churchill Downs with a Derby/Horse Racing theme. The strawberry pancakes were maybe the very best we have EVER had. The Hangover breakfast plate was delicious. Lots of really cool Derby and Churchill Downs memorabilia. Nice gift shop with a lot of items to view/purchase. We went on a Sunday with the weekend menu available. NOTE: They do close at like 2:30pm.

Good resteraunt. Food was good and filling. I am not from the area but I think I got a good taste of southern breakfast. Pricing wasn't to bad. The coolest thing about the resteraunt was the atmosphere though.

Good food, good Service. I had the club and chips and friends had a Burger and fries. Small mix up in the order but got addressed fairly quickly. Nice little gift shop part of the restaurant. I would certainly go back here and try some other items.

Open faced R Beef was cool, peas contained ONIONS! Four people at the table, portions were not equalized. Two people shared one platter; they both individually had more R Beef than I had. We were charged for a drink we did not receive. First time visit, most likely will be my last. While an iconic environment, food left a little to be desired; perhaps I anticipated too highly! :(

Talk about history. This place celebrated 100 years this year. Eat breakfast where the Jockeys for the Kentucky Derby eat. Feel the history and atmosphere of horse racing while eating lunch or breakfast. There is a small gift shop and also a vet pharmacy gears toward horses. Food was good and reasonably priced for what you order. It's a hidden breakfast gem in Louisville. Only minutes from the Expo center so stop for breakfast on your way to the show. The place gets busy so expect to have a bit of a wait but this allows you to take in the history here. Rumor has it if you wear Wagner apparel on Tuesdays, you get a discount...

Food was good. I came for breakfast. I was there 8 minutes before their cutoff for breakfast but they informed me the cooks had already switched over the heat for the grill and they couldn't accommodate eggs. I was very disappointed with this. The chicken salad I had was good and the service was attentive and pleasant. Would definitely return, just would come earlier than listed if you want breakfast.

Were told at the Museum that this was the place for lunch when visiting Churchill so, we did. It's more about the setting than the food but, we had a good experience! Lunch was good, husband and I shared a sandwich, service was acceptable. We did hear another table complain about others around getting food before them. The memorabilia was awesome to check out!

Right by Churchill Downs. Lots of workers from the track come here to eat. Lots of locals too. Blue collar place that is comfortable for all folks. Good food and service. Reasonable prices. Ate there twice in three days while in the area. Souvenirs available if you need them. Check out there daily specials too.
