After living here a couple years I finally got to check out Porcini’s and man am I kicking myself that I didn’t do it sooner. First off it’s right off Frankfort Ave, one of the best areas around Louisville I feel; where everything from the small shops to the greenery just make it feel and look so much better than a lot of the more urbanized area. And obviously the food and service inside match everything I was led to believe and more. the server we had was very attentive and fun to talk too; making it feel less than his job, and more of something they truly enjoyed doing. And clearly this same feeling was shared with the BOH because everything that came out tasted amazing. I certainly won’t be waiting this long again before going back my second time.

I ordered the 'Vitello Alla Griglia' (Rib chops), and my husband had steak. Both dishes were delicious, but we found them to be overrated for $50. I’ve had better. If they were priced at $35-40, we would have no complaints. We also tried the dark chocolate mousse.
