Sizzler - Takeout & Delivery Available

I’d been eyeing this sizzler which is close to my place for a long while now and finally my friend recommended we go so I took advantage of the idea and it kinda blew away any expectations I had. First off I love the look of the restaurant because it reminds me of my childhood it seemed like these types of diner/not just diner food places were extremely popular back then. You know places like TGI Friday’s, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, that had all you can eat salad bars (which sizzler has) and build your own dessert (which sizzler also has). Just the look of the place is classic and makes me feel like I’m out with my parents and I’m 11 years old again! I ordered the 6 oz steak and lobster with a baked potato and sour cream and they served it to me with garlic bread on wonder bread which was interesting. The steak was not half bad the lobster was a little suspicious but it was still pretty good! The price seemed high I ended up paying 32 bucks which seems like a lot for this kinda place but whatever I had a good time and the waitress let us get free soft serve (I dunno if that’s part of the deal) and a coffee. I liked the atmosphere and there were a lot of people around too! There are a lot of shady people on the street next door (a tent village filled with drug addicts) I rode my bike and locked it near the entrance and me and my friend literally saw (from the window) someone sneak up to my bike and I ran out and moved it near the valet who was nice enough to watch it for the rest of our meal. I recommend if you go, stop by the shatto 39 bowling alley next door for an old school family fun night out!!

Presentation was horrible, food was cold, lobster slimey. All the food had a bad stench smelled Old diner kitchen, nothing like the pictures online. Baked potato was ordered loaded and it was even cut. Mash was box mash, it was hard as clay, my finger could put a hole in it and nothing would move , terrible. I had to leave a review I never do this, but it was that bad.

I like this Sizzler a lot. The interior is very nice. I'm always impressed after I eat at Sizzler because the food is always good. I'm also very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the shrimp. The shrimp I've eaten at other more well-established restaurants is always really shrimpy. The shrimp prepared here was fantastic.

My friend and I had a taste for steak and a baked potatoes. I wanted to order garlic potatoes but the clerk taking our ordered said, the garlic potatoes were always returned with a complaint. That was my Q to run but I was hungry. I hadn't eaten all day. The waiter was very Pleasant. She brought the plates to the table. My friend was struggling to cut her steak, so the waiter ask if she needed help cutting. I told her to let me try to cut her steak for her. Trying to cut the steak, was like taking a dull knife to a tree trunk. I motioned for the waiter, I ask her have she ever seen a steak look or cut like this. She just said, can I offer you something else. My friend requested an order of shrimp and I was offered a choice of something else on the menu or the salad bar. I didn't ordered nothing else. I won't be eating at the Los Angeles, Vernon sizzler ever.

Glad to see Salad bar ☺️ is back on the menu after pandemic gets its control.. however... No more Fried chickens 🍗 and Tacos 🌮... (Hopefully they will coming back soon) Still.. the Malibu Chicken is the same... Steak 🥩 are the same!!! So... I still love the All You Can Eat Salad Bar!!! It's really rare to have... esp...under this pandemic trying time...😅😍☺️
