Finally stopped to experience this tasty well known restaurant. I ordered the bowl added carne asada with habanero salsa. Paid $12. Was ok, did not hit my taste buds which I was expecting. Salsa and guac were good and so was the meat. Not enough of the 3.

Great tacos and great staff... everyone is friendly and hooks it up. I bought the shrimp tacos and they were pretty good. The sauces are the best part... tons of different salsas. If that's your thing this is the spot for you.

I used to love this place years ago but moved away. Went back and quality was not as good. Churros were greasy and a bit undercooked. Fries were soggy and not cooked fully. Burrito was super rice heavy and not great. Paid a lot for not good food.

Pastor Taco- hard shell. FANTASTIC!!
My boyfriend is in love with the **honey Chipotle chicken burrito** with white beans. Also, the HORCHATA is excellent.
GREAT SERVICE. VERY CLEAN. 💖💖💖💖

Be warned they put sugar in EVERYTHING! Al Pastor tastes sweet, onions taste sweet, tomatoes (pico de gallo) tastes sweet, sour cream tastes sweet! They put in all this sugar to hide how it REALLY tastes! Avoid if you can’t have sugar. 0/10 used to be way better 5 years ago.

Great place for vegan (plant based) Vegetarian and non vegans here. I had the pleasure of tasting a wonderful array of yummyness prepared by the creative chef and hosted by Vegan Street Fair. Very wheelchair accessible and accommodating.

Thuis is the worse place to get tacos. I bought a bunch of different ones and was excited to get home. The asada tacos tasted fishy so I couldn't finish one they were just weird. Then the pastor was sweet but by this time I started getting weird stomach noises. Decided to eat anymore. Then in the middle of the night I got non stop food poisoning. It was so bad I had to to be hospitalized the that morning. Doctors said I had a bacterial infection and the I had do a follow with my primary doctor because I wasn't going to be able to eat for days. The nausea was non stop! The stomach pain worse! I thought my appendix was going to burst.

Love this place! I get the breakfast burritos all the time. I highly recommend! Their salsas are the best too 😀

Despite the fact that we live over 1,000 miles away, we have Hugo's every time we are near LA. (Who do we petition for an LAX location?!) Last night we flew home with 13 orders of (gluten free, vegan) churros! The best in the world!! I also highly recommend the veggie tacos (also gluten free and vegan) with loads of guac. Don't forget to wash it down with one of their amazing agua frescas. I also love the new app that lets me order on the go and grab my food en route to the airport. Thanks, Hugo's! Never change!

This was my third time eating here during lunch, I always get their tacos especially the steak. The best tacos I've had. I haven't tried the others because it's too heavy for me, but I'm sure they are good as the tacos. I will have them for sure.

I’ve been coming here for many many years. The food is always tasty and fresh. They have great Vegetarian options.

Awesome menu. Plenty of options for the gluten free people like myself. Get there early on a Sunday or you'll be waiting but even then it's worth it.

Hugo's saved me last summer. A bike ride and and a large Horchata comforted me to no end. Thank you Sheri Elkhaim for introducing to this delicious treat. And the tacos were good too.

Gluten-free churros. I repeat, gluten-free churros. What more do you need?

We visited here on Father's Day. Food was very delicious. Loved that it is Gluten Free Friendly. We enjoyed the Gluten Free Churros also. Would definitely eat here again!

Love your Honey Chipotle Salsa! I used to order the tostada, but now I get the bowls to cut down on the tortillas. I also love your vegetarian mix!

I wish I could give negative stars. Cashier rude. Just awful. Taco Bell is better.

Hugo's Tacos is in Woodland Hills now, too! Excellent vegan options of my favorite Mexican foods. Try the soy chorizo quesadilla. Out of this world!

Great Tacos Meat or Vegan. These are some tasty tacos with very tasty options.
I like the beef, the chicken, the fish and the tofu.
Some of the tastiest tacos I've ever had.
I wish I lived closer.

Love It! My favorite snack after a long day the service is friendly and the food is to die for. Try the burritos they are delicious and apparently healthy.

I like Hugo's Tacos, especially the Burritos. From what I heard about Hugo's Tacos I expected some fru-fru spot with organic-fed, thin-wasted women running around and drab, soybean tacos and burritos. Instead I found a great, filling, delicious burrito that can be super hot if you select the hottest salsa. This is now one of my favorite joints for a quick and filling burrito.

Tasty!. Heed the Taco Inspector's disclaimer: if you're looking for a greasy spoon kind of taco or burrito, this isn't the place. There's always a different taste when it's all natural and the appeal lies therein.

Even on a Tuesday evening, there was a line around the side of the building, but I only had to wait 5-10 minutes to place my order and another 5 to get it.

Although the torta was calling my name, I opted for the single-meal sized burrito with soy chorizo, potato, zucchini, and other fixins. Every bit tasted great and nothing was too heavy. I have to mention the horchata, too- some of the best I've ever had.

If you want the same tacos they serve everywhere you may not like hugos. But if you like great and unusual taste combinations, Hugo's is THE taco stand for you. Lots of veg options, too -- not just rice and beans in a tortilla. We'll be back!!!

Maybe "organic" tacos just weren't for me.... I am The Taco Inspector.

First off, to be fair, maybe I shouldn't have been inspecting "organic tacos," since I like regular-tacos...from taco trucks...but oh well.

I loved Hugo's location, but upon arriving they told us no cameras (we were filiming my weekly "Taco Tuesday" program.) Sure, that's their right--but every taco place we go to welcomes us AND our cameras and are happy to have us.

Anyway, on with the review. The tacos tasted weird. They were expensive. The pico de gallo was bland. I gave Hugo's 2 out of 5 sombreros.

You can see the VIDEO review I did at Hugo's at www.thetacoreview.com and judge for yourself!

The Taco Inspector is out!

T.I.

In this era of cheap and convenient fast food, it's easy to forgo a sit down, home made meal that's actually good for you and may not be as likely to clog your arteries. Even if you choose to go to a restaurant with tables, chairs and nice linens, the men

Hugo’s Tacos in Studio City is a wonderful little oasis of taco stand goodness right in the middle of the valley, smack dab between a gas station and the 101 freeway, with a number of satisfying vegan options. You’ll find them across the street from Whole
