Excellent food. Excellent serivce. Good prices, superb spirits, and some of the best Halibut sushi I've had in LA. I'm still in shock this place wasn't as packed as the novelty rotating sushi places. It's definitely much better quality, more intimate, and less of a dizzying headache that's tucked away from the crowds of tourists.
Excellent customer service with smiles and continuous follow ups with the food served and what else do everything need, very short waiting time from the time of order to the time food is served, excellent food selection and appetizing atmosphere
You walk in, and…well, you can see what it’s going for. In my mind, it’s trying to produce the feeling of something you might find in Tokyo. A place where a Salaryman can come with a few friends, have a few beers, and relax before going home. There’s a big wooden boat in the center, and lots and lots of stalls everyone.
Man, I can imagine this joint a’ jumpin’ at night.
So of course, I came here for Lunch.
An Awesome Waiter. So this place is pretty bad ass. The waiter we had was a total cool dude and kept checking on us to see how we were doing. The best part was that he actually helped us save money on our drink selection. I wish I could have taken down his name, because that guy was awesome. The food and drink is pretty great too and you can't beat the prices. Get the warm Sake, $4 during happy hour.
We checked Urbanspoon and found this place. We absolutely loved it. The fish was fresh, service was great , it's a mystery as to why at 6:45 on a Saturday evening it was near empty. When we are in the area again we will return.

Food was very good! This was my first time tasting Japanese oriented food. Our appetizers were absolutely delicious, plates were very clean and not dirty! (My Favorite). And the female taking our order was very punctual and polite.
Totally great atmosphere, for someone new to the experience it felt traditional.
Absolutely authentic Japanese Izakaya.
Come and try out some Happy Hour dishes if you are not sure what to order.
The delicious grilled Mackerel goes sp well with Sake.
Good service. I got a lunch combo with some sushi and pork cutlet. The sushi was decent quality and the fish was cut rather generously for the price. The cutlet was a perfectly breaded and fried piece of pork of unusually high quality and flavor, one of the best I've ever had. The Japanese fishing boat themed decor was, well very unique to day the least.
Always come by this place when craving sushi in Little Tokyo.
Very reasonably priced sushi, I typically spend $30 to feel full and drink a little too.
The walls are covered in restaurant promotions. Interior is themed like a wooden ship.
The employees are super friendly.
Steamed peanuts served at the tables. Ramen is not their forte but everything else is super.
Tons of fun Japanese bottled alcohols that you can't find in other places. I always feel good leaving this place.
Parking is close by, walk a couple blocks.
Perfect place for more obscure traditional Japanese dishes. Not the best sushi/fish around Little Tokyo, but everything is solid and tasty. Chicken Nanban is on point 👈
Wide variety of foods I haven't easily found in other resurants. All of it was very tasty, but I am taking a star off because I feel like they charged more based on the atmosphere and the area they are in than because the food is exceptionally good. It was for sure good, just not as good as the prices lead me to hope for.
Really good sushi place. Authentic decoration, delicious food and friendly staff. And great value as well! Definitely will go back again!
One of my favorite places in Little Tokyo. They have something for everyone and their fish is always fresh. Very casual atmosphere, affordable and great for food and drinks.
