Review Milk Tavern - Los Angeles

5 STAR!!! Probably been to this place 100+ times already. Love their true milk flavor and the rice crispy cones that are sold out often. Their true milk tastes amazing and reminds me of Mallangcow (brand of a Korean candy, 맬랑카우) in a form of softened ice cream!!

First time here !!! We saw they had Taro ice cream !!!! So we had to try it - they gave free samples so we ended up really liking their new flavor Korean coffee !!! It was so good ! You also get one free topping - it’s more for the aesthetic look of it so I got cornflakes !! Will come back !

This place has some seriously legit ice cream. It has the texture of soft serve but all the punch of real top notch ice cream. It’s smooth, creamy, and very flavorful. I absolute loved the Rice Krispie and fruity pebbles cones—they add the perfect extra punch and crunch to the ice cream. The store is quite small, but the line moves quickly and there is some seating outside. You can get a regular cone, a cup, or a Rice Krispie, fruity pebbles, or cocoa pebbles cone. They also serve a caramelized waffle you can use to scoop your ice cream if you like. Overall I really, really enjoyed this spot. It’s some of the best ice cream I’ve had in a long time. Definitely recommend this while in Los Angeles—it’s even worth a drive across the city.

Unique milky flavors! I tried the pink guava on cone with fruity pebbles! I will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the flavors. Ube, matcha, milk, pineapple and more!

Yes it lives up to all the hype. The locals will likely take it on the go. But if you're lucky, you'll get seating at one of the few outdoor tables or bench. Every flavor is the right flavor. I've tried a few flavors, and I go back to the chocolate true milk with Oreo chocolate topping. This place has all the punch of a top tier ice cream shop. It’s smooth, creamy, and very flavorful, goth the ice cream and the caramelized waffle, or flavored cones. I'm perplexed why this isn't a chain yet as I would love to have one closer to me in Orange County. But until then, I will continue to seek out the little pink building in Koreatown.

My favorite soft serve in socal! You gotta have The Soulmate. It is ice cream in a cup with a croffle on the side. What is a croffle you may ask? A croissant and a waffle got married and gave birth to croffles. Just absolutely delicious! The ice cream flavors are limited but the choices are delicious. The place is a cute pink building with parking, which is rare in the area. I highly highly recommend this place :)

Tasty soft serve made with high quality ingredients. The matcha comes through really well and was my favorite flavor. If it’s your first time they will let you sample so don’t be shy! The guava flavor was also very good. The biggest downside is parking - but that’s not so shocking for the area. There is a lot for free to the left of the entrance, but it fills up fast. I would recommend trying your luck on one of the side streets. You can get your soft serve in a wafer cone which is very good. They have specialty cones with fruity pebbles or Rice Krispies, but those are more for show. You can also get your ice cream with a croffle (croissant waffle). We did not try it but it looked incredible. There are also toppings included like Oreo, corn flakes and fruity pebbles. Surprisingly, the cornflakes add a very nice crunch. We will definitely be back!

A gem! All the flavors of ice cream and the cones that we tried were wonderful. Very creamy iced cream and delicious flavors and toppings.

Good soft-serve ice cream place. Some parking available and simple outdoor seating. Doesn’t quite live up to the hype for me, but still a really good dessert option in the area.

Wow probably the best soft serve I’ve ever had! The true milk is to die for! Love how cute the cone looks with the toppings! I’d come back!

I was visiting for the first time in LA Ktown and decided to stop here for ice cream after a concert. The exterior and interior was very small and cute! I ordered their cherry soft serve with the fruity pebble topping and cereal cone! Honestly the best soft serve I had tried ever! The service was great too! I definitely will have to come back when I visit again!

No indoor seating fyi. This is an instagrammable place that has quality product (sometimes there is a negative correlation there but this place actually lives up to the hype in terms of taste) - there's just a couple of tables right outside of the store so you'll have to be lucky to find a seat. Most people usually grab the ice cream and go so it's not really a problem.

Thankfully the line wasn't too long when we got there. There's a small parking lot and some street parking spots available. As you might've guessed, can't go wrong with any of the flavors. Croffles were good too. There's a tiny patio with four tables or so when you exit the store.

I don’t come to this area as much as I used to, but now I’d come just for this place. I absolutely love guava and theirs is amazing. Next time I’m going to ask if they sell in large containers so I can bring some home. I wish I could’ve bought one of each flavor. I really like how they have it setup. Come in one side, order and pickup, then exit directly onto their patio area. With how popular they are, they could probably use a larger seating area. Nevertheless it’s definitely worth the drive. Cannot wait until next time.

AMAZING!!! I didn’t have this place bookmarked on my list when I visited LA, but it caught me eyes because it had a cute pink wall. Also the fact that there was a long line of people waiting outside, so to my curious self— I just had to drop by. After lunch, we came back and found parking right in the back (lucky us!). There wasn’t a line anymore and we were able to sample some flavors. The place is very small. There’s enough space for 4-5 people inside and order at a time, while others have to wait outside the entrance before coming in. The workers were very nice and let me take photos and also sample two flavors. I didn’t expect much, thinking it’s probably just another instagram famous spot, but O M G, their flavors are amazing! I got a taro milk tea x pink guava cone, and my friend got their taro milk x matcha cup. Initially, I was going to get the matcha swirl, but after testing the pink guava, I knew that was the one. The flavors are amazing and tbh, it reminded me of my childhood in Vietnam. I’m not sure if I ate pink guava ice-cream before, but it was so good. The flavors weren’t super sweet and it blended so well together, along with the crunchiness of the waffle cone— perfect combo. It was hot, and the ice-cream were melting rapidly as we ate outside by the store. We stood in the back where there’s a little bit of shade, and ate quickly. I was surprised to see they filled the soft serve all the way inside the cone, since not many places does that. This place has now earned a spot on my Top Favorites list, and I will definitely come back whenever I’m in LA.

They’re known for pure milk taste soft cream. I tried matcha and milk mix and regretted soon after tasting it. Pure milk taste a lot better. Although I don’t really find huge differences on quality than other soft ice creams. Rice crispy cone tastes good though. crofle (croissant waffle) was great. But I feel like both crofle and ice cream are overpriced. There are few parking spots but very small.

Nice ice cream spot with fun, Asian inspired flavors. Each one comes with 1 free homemade topping. I would highly recommend the house made corn flakes. There are also really unique, fun cones

🤪Only reason I came back to LA🍦 It was the most expensive ice cream I ever tried and it was the best!! You must try this ice cream!!😋👍👍 My Favorite Tip 💖 It’s the same price with any kind of color of corn and sprinkles is free. I like the regular one than extra cereal one. Just because I can’t afford extra + $2.95 for dessert 🥲 Select color one and decorate with free topping 🎀 it’s STILL insta AesThetic MatErial y’all haha.. don’t spend $10 for ice cream 🥹(If you can afford, go ahead) I tried croissants + waffles this second time and it’s so chewy and crunchy 🥰
