Review Hugo's Tacos - Los Angeles

I am celiac and hyper symptomatic to gluten and dairy. I did not get sick here after eating gluten free tacos, spicy chicken sandwich and churros. Everything was yummy except taco meat was a little dry. This place is awesome! I don’t have to worry or think about what I am going to order not to be sick. Price is somewhat higher end but I was very happy to find this place.

Food was 🔥🔥🔥. Definitely recommend the tortas. I had to stop and leave a review because of how good it was. Especially the chipotle sauce on outside of bread. Amazing. Aguas frescas are bomb had the watermelon, horchata, and Jamaica all of them are refreshing and not packed with sugar. 10 out of 10 recommend.

We went here randomly and it was such a good choice. We tried a bunch of things from the menu because the reviews were so good. The nachos, tacos, quesadillas and churros were so good! Everything was seasoned well. The only thing we didn't love was the potato tacos, the were a bit too soft and not as seasoned as the other things but still not bad. We will be back to try more things again

I usually get takeout, but they do have a small Al Fresca dining area. Much love to Hugo’s Tacos for having gluten free burrito wraps. One of the few places my girlfriend can have a burrito! Lots of good different salsa options here. I love the fried tofu tacos ensenada style. They also do deal for Taco Tuesday and Burrito Wednesday! Good neighborhood dinner spot.

People need to stop complaining about the honey chipotle glaze on the torta. It’s what makes it so good. If you don’t like it go to literally any other place that does tortas without a glaze. It messes up ordering for the rest of us. Thanks

Wanted a breakfast burrito with bacon , was told they don’t serve bacon. So I order an Asada(beef) breakfast burrito which I never seen this combination before. Oh WoW Delicious. Very tasty and hot salsa .

Delicious. The vegan mushroom nachos (in pic) and tacos were very flavorful. Out of all the vegan options, I thought the mushrooms were the best but the soy chorizo and potatoes were still good too.

We all have those restaurants that we would drive the 405 during rush hour for.... And Hugos Tacos takes it two steps above that. Not only is most of their menu Gluten Free (I have celiac).... They have Gluten Free CHURROS!!!! Ok.... So ur not gluten free or a vegan? Why should you go to Hugos Tacos? Did I mention that they have churros? But really, they are like if Chipotle had real Mexican food and more then just 2 menu items.

The mushroom (vegan) Tacos are my favorite item here. The other two vegan tacos are fine. But the 🍄 🌮 are 🔥

Despite the fact that we live over 1,000 miles away, we have Hugo's every time we are near LA. (Who do we petition for an LAX location?!) Last night we flew home with 13 orders of (gluten free, vegan) churros! The best in the world!! I also highly recommend the veggie tacos (also gluten free and vegan) with loads of guac. Don't forget to wash it down with one of their amazing agua frescas. I also love the new app that lets me order on the go and grab my food en route to the airport. Thanks, Hugo's! Never change! ��

This was my third time eating here during lunch, I always get their tacos especially the steak. The best tacos I've had. I haven't tried the others because it's too heavy for me, but I'm sure they are good as the tacos. I will have them for sure.

For the first half of March, I experienced my first running-related injury that kept me out from running for about 1 1/2 weeks. It was groin pull, and it took me by surprise…causing my pace to slow down and my thigh to really feel aggravated. I did end up taking ibuprofen towards the later half of that week, and that seemed to help with the inflammation. I was worried that I wouldn’t be in top condition for a 10k I had signed up for a few weeks prior, but I was able to have enough time to rest up, and do a decent job on race day.

Every neighborhood has it’s own Taco Stand, or more potently, it’s own beloved Taco stand. This is Los Angeles after all. You go here, and they love this. You go there, and they love that. Everyone has go their own take, their own thing going on. You need to. There are plenty of Americans, Mexican and non-Mexican alike, who love them some tacos. One of the favorites in Atwater Village-slash-Glendale is Hugo’s Tacos. It’s been here for years. You’ll find at least a small line of people gathered in front of it when you go there. For me, it was okay.

It was okay.. The fact that they have a vegan option menu is amazing. though i got the potato tacos and they were a little bland, and the sauce i got with it was bland as well. My meat lover friend was not satisfied with his tacos either. I feel the tacos are a little over priced.
