Amazing spot, love the speakeasy vibe and the great music! Their mixologists are top notch and I always I have a great time here. The patio is so much fun on sunny days and even on cool nights. Highly recommend this place for a date night or night with friends!
The music was great! The staff was hospitable and welcoming. But the drinks: the drinks are incredible. Try the “Carl Sagan”....I’m obsessed. Will def be back!

Line on the weekend is insanely long unless u know someone or willing to pay. If willing to purchase punch bowl they were would let you in sooner. No cover charge. Wait was over an hour. Get pat down on the way in after ID check.
Wait to drink can be long but be patient and nice to bartenders. There is a Bar inside and at the outside area.
Crowd was mixed and overall chill 20-30s. Friendly people.

Went on a week day (Wednesday)and the crowd wasn’t as packed as I heard it is on the weekend which is good. It’s hidden inside a cute ton of doors with locks on them, almost speak easy vibes but the inside is way bigger than you’d think. The cocktails were well crafted and the dj was spinning up a variety of throwback jams, really cool spots
First time at a bar in LA and I had a great time! I went in early so it wasn’t too busy. I ordered a Santa Monica head in the clouds and it was strong and tasted good.
The wait to get inside Saturday night was ridiculous. Took us an hour and a half arriving at 10:30. There was no entry cost. Definitely getting in faster if you bring more women but the bouncers are cool and once you get inside there's a bar area with bathrooms on the right and the far back which has an outside area where all the action is. Couldn't move while there most of the time.
They let in a solid amount of women over guys so the ratio is straight. A great place to visit for my first time in LA
First time here and loved it. The vibes and atmosphere were great. Good taste in music, there was a mix of everything. Staff were friendly and great service. I sat at the bar, since it was cold outside and didn’t want to stand in the dancing floor. Definitely would return next time I’m back in town.

If you want a chill vibe definitely recommend coming early on Sunday nights. They've got a DJ playing old school hip hop and r&b music all night. Such throw backs! Loved it.
Entrance: currently only requiring ID to get in. When you walk in, you enter into a room full of doorknobs on the walls. You have to find the right doorknob to open the door to get inside. Super cool concept. You are the key!
Food: we ordered pepperoni deep dish pizza and the garlic fries. The food wasn't fresh. The pizza was basically a thick pizza and had no cheese pull (super disappointed). The fries were limp and borderline cold. I understand people don't come here to mainly eat, but still! It should still be warm atleast.
Drink: they seem to be pretty popular for their drinks.

Loved that the eating/drinking was separated from the dance area. The music is blasted throughout. Everyone's just chill and enjoying their time. Loved the music.
Previous reviews with feeling unsafe with security guys are alarming and I'd think twice before coming here with a group of girls but it's nice if you're with a guy or a mix group.
Will come back with a group!
If its your first time at Lock & Key you must find the "real" door knob to enter the bar! Professional attentive bartenders and personal. Very beautiful spot for a date and some pretty drinks. Pizza was delicious takes about 45 min for it to come out 😋 if you come in on a weekend be ready to wait in a long line.
So many great drinks for an affordable price, staff is friendly!!! Music is PERFECT R&B, small dance floor too! Their pizzas are very tasty!!
Fun speakeasy lounge with an outdoor patio if you're in the mood to dance. I wish they played more hip hop/pop but the music's pretty good overall. Get there early or come in a smaller group
Made me and my boy wait 2hrs to get in but we had a good time spent about 200 on drinks and you can smoke 🌳
