Review Cha Cha Chili - Los Angeles

Chris Shaul
I enjoyed the food here, but was not amazed. I had the Korean beef burrito and also the mushroom poppers. Both were good, but I used the spicy/sweet sauce that belonged to the poppers on the burrito and it improved it. My wife had the chimichanga and couldn't finish it. We came on a Sunday evening and it was pretty quiet. Definitely a place to try if you are in the neighborhood.

Tried out this spot on a whim and was super impressed. The Cha Cha Chicken was delicious. Really nice flavor and great presentation. I wish it came with more broccoli but that’s just me. Our boy loved the treats that were offered by their kind staff. Definitely coming back to try more options from the menu!

Amazing glass noodles and spicy pork 😋 I got the spicy pork teriyaki 🥣 bowl, and everything was so well spiced and it was an amazing treat to finally eat here. Overall a very tasty meal I highly suggest going. They are open for take out only right now and DO NOT take cash

A colleague suggested that we go there for lunch. I tried per his recommendation the jalapeno bombers and Chimichanga with Spicy pork. Both were absolutely delicious! I started drooling as soon as I saw the food in the box 😋

I’m not the biggest fan of fusion but my friend Hilton who loves Guy Fieri recommended this place. He said their chimichanga slaps and it really did. I can’t rep the shrooms or poppers as much but the cha cha plate was ok. This Korean Mexican fusion is a good mix.

Great tasting food combining Korean and Mexican flavors and spices. The Korean Philly cheese steak was satisfying. thinly sliced bulgolgi marinaded beef topped with caramelized onions, grilled jalapeños, spicy mayo and cheese on a freshly baked baguette. The baguette is very well made and adds texture while bringing the flavors together. The jalapeño bombs were bomb! Jalapeño stuffed with crab meat deep fried in tempura batter and coated with spicy mayo. The jalapeño isn't spicy at all but still has a kick. The spicy pork taco was okay. It tasted more sweet then spicy and i found it lacking in something. I will definitely comeback to try their Chimichongas and the rest of the menu. Update: since my last review I've been back 4 more times and pretty much have tried everything but the sliders. The Chimichanga is the probably the best thing they have on their menu. If it's your first time you have to go for the Chimichangas. It's a deep fried burrito stuffed with bulgolgi beef, rice, beans, and cheese and then topped with sriracha and spicy mayo. This thing is overwhelmingly big enough to share with at least four people unless your really really really hungry. The Kimchee Quesadilla is my favorite thing on the menu because its got all the flavors. It's only got 3 ingredients. Kimchee, Marinaded Beef, and cheese. But Its sweet, sour, tangy, salty and spicy, all in one tortilla. It's good stuff. The fish tacos were good and tastier than the spicy pork tacos in my opinion. They put spicy mayo to give it that asian kick.

I had a beef chimichanga and a teriyaki chicken burrito. Such a great combination as far as fusion goes. Everything was fresh. The grill was grilling for sure.. the presentation of the food was neat. I can't wait to try other things on the menu.

COVID REVIEW: I went to CSULA to have my mom vaccinated and stopped by this place. I ordered Chimichanga and my mom got the KBBQ Philly Steak. I wasn't expecting much since I thought it was a typical fusion food but how wrong was I. Food was amazing and wait time was even better. We were informed to wait 15 mins but it was ready within 8 minutes. Ate the food while in line for the vaccination and I was so disappointed how I can't eat them all at once. I will be back. PS. This place has been shown in TVs as well.

A friend found this place through a YouTube channel. I had the bul-go-gi chimichanga and it was perfect. The flavors went well together. It's the right amount of spicy, too!

Very unique Korean Mexican fusion. Love the flavor. the chimichangas are amazing; worth the wait (can take 15 to 20 min to make). Price is reasonable for the portions. Great place to take friends or coworkers for something unique. Will keep coming back. They have a small parking lot and sometimes street parking can get tight during the lunch rush.

Cha Cha Chili is SCRUMPTIOUS!!! First off, LEO makes the best damn Bulgo Gi Tacos! The outside patio is refreshing while eating because of the breeze. The inside has five or six tables. This restaurant has MAJOR CELEBRITY STATUS and when you come, you will see the pictures of all the celebrities! Thank you again Leo!

Location is a bit out of the ordinary, industrial area...but DDD and my guide Guy 😍 prepped us for that! We sat outside and enjoyed their famous El Jefe tacos, a delicious fusion of Korean BBQ and authentic Mexican, melt in your mouth, home made tortillas. A savory taco with a kick! We also sampled the mushroom poppers and the jalapeno bombers, so tasty!!! Although it was lunch, we decided to add on to our bounty their version of the Philly cheese steak... A great decision! I'll be skipping dinner tonight, but absolutely no regrets! Drove an hour just to try Cha Cha Chili and will absolutely do it again!

Great food at a decent price. The Beef taco was excellent with a hint of fire and the Spicy Beef Bowl was excellent with just enough fire to wake me up but not so much I couldn't finish it.

Whoa nelly, this place rules. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful and the food was incredible. Pictures here is the (Korean marinated) steak Chimichanga. The steak is absolutely delicious, sweet & spicey, and the chimi was really good too. Would most definitely suggest to anyone, and I will definitely be returning. Oh also I got two meals out of just the chimi in case anyone is wondering.

Oh cha cha chili how I love you. The only reason they are 4 stars and not 5 is because of location. But as far as the food its 10 stars. I drive from riverside to eat there because its that amazing. Its hard to find and super out of the way but worth it. Everything is amazing. A must try!
