We traveled from the coast of San Luis Obispo CA to try this place after seeing it on Netflix! I have to say, it does not disappoint! The staff is friendly and quick and the food is more delicious than anything I have experienced in any taco ever before. Truly wonderful and worth the 4hr drive from SLO! :) This place deserves 6 stars for its delectable Shrimp Tacos <3 Great prices as well.... I am completely obsessed!
Exelent tostadas de ceviche, and awesome shrimp cocktails. Their salsa casera goes great with all their food. It's spicy but it adds a flavor that's worth the heat. I recommend this place for some good seafood.
Very fast made to order service. The shrimp tacos (dorados) is a must have when eating here. If you like octopus, make sure to order a shrimp taco with octopus on top. You wont regret it
This has to be the best ceviche I've ever had. They serve it on a food truck and they have some seats by the truck to enjoy your food. Now you're thinking theres no way the food is fresh if its served on a truck. Well the quality and textures here are 5 stars. My friends and I ordered the Tacos de Camaron, Poseidon and Mixta. The octopus and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Not too chewy and the combination of citrus with their house made salsa were perfect. Between the 4 of us this was plenty of food. Prices are reasonable and portions are great. Wait times can be long, but well worth it. Theres a big parking lot across the street and plenty of street parking around the corner. I would recommend eating right away as the food can get soggy.
Best shrimp tacos anywhere. Service was fast. Food was well prepared. Hot food was hot & cold food was at a proper temperature. They have plenty of seating inside a building next to their food truck. The aguachile was so good and spicy. Not too spicy where you won't enjoy the food. Just perfect!
1st time here & it won't be the last either.
Parking sucks, but don't let that scare you away.
It's crazy how nowadays food trucks can have the same exact food quality as a restaurant. Everything is fresh and made to order. Expect some queues during peak hours, but it's worth it.
After everyones recommendation about trying this place we decided to travel to East LA from North Hollywood to give it a shot. This place is CASH only, we had to walk down to Chevron to use ATM. We order the famous shrimp tacos and the shrimp ceviche tostada's. The kids liked the tacos more than I did I felt they were too wet don't like the juices getting all over my hands, this was the case with the tostados as well. Overall I was a bit disappointed thought these tacos would be better. They do have a good seating area inside in front of the taco truck with restrooms and about 10 tables. Service was quick also so that's another plus. Coming from Houston Im spoiled with the tacos we have and these tacos were just OK
Poseidon tostada was incredible and huge, enjoyed the shrimp tacos also.
Enjoyed my prawn taco. As I test I had two from here and then wandered the 50m to Mariscos 4 Vientos to try theirs. Overall I think Jalisco was slightly fresher (crispier and warmer) and slightly cheaper $2.50 v $2.75 but Id happily return to either (it was “splitting hairs” between them in terms of quality). Happily recommend 4.8/5!
Everything I tried here is pretty good, but the shrimp tacos are the best thing because they are different from anything else you’ve probably had.
Parking can be challenging as it’s only street parking that’s available. A big plus is that they have a relatively large indoor dining area.
Do not miss the shrimp tacos. You may want more than one....
I've never heard or eaten here before, but after watching a few notable food bloggers (Mark Weins), I just had to try it out
Right in front of the truck, there's a sit in building for you to sit down and eat, or out front there's a long sit down area that looks like a bench where you can sit outside if you prefer. The past two weeks I've been coming here for Lent since no meat on Fridays, I've just been getting the Shrimp tacos and the Poseidon and I have to say, it is DELICIOUS. Pipping hot and still crunchy even with all the sauce on top and even that makes it more delicious. For 2.50 a taco and the Poseidon sitting at 10 bucks, it was definitely worth the meal. SHRIMP tasted fresh and the octopus from the Poseidon was just as delicious as the next. Its a nice little spot tucked away in East LA, but making the drive was worth it for the amount I paid for. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area craving some shrimp tacos or oysters (haven't tried it yet but will get to that eventually)
