The breading on the fish tacos was made just right. Not too heavy, and not too crumbly. The meal was good, and I enjoyed the different sauces on offer.

Delicious fish tacos! The fish was firm and tasty, the batter was crunchy and thick, and the salad condiment was fresh. I also tried the shrimp taco which was good too, but the fish was definitely better. I wish the tortilla was a bit thicker/sturdier. Although there are other places as good as this one, it's definitely worth the try. Loved that the salsa was in a little fridge on the side, which you could just open. 4 different kind of salsa, the chipotle was the spiciest and tastiest.

Amazing fish and shrimp tacos, both are very delicious! They are freshly fried and served hot with cabbage and pico de gallo. It is definitely worth trying.

Ok, best fish tacos of life. Idk what they do or how ricky figured out this recipe, but it's a must-try. The batter stays incredibly crispy, nothing is drenched in sauce, and the taste is absolutely perfect.

Getting fish tacos from Ricky’s is like a religious experience. They are freshly fried, piping hot, and topped with the a bit of cabbage and the freshest pico you could ever imagine. Do not skip the white sauce! All the sauces are in a cubby on the front side of the truck underneath the order window. Currently the tacos are $3.75 each, but I would easily pay over $5 for one. They are truly exceptional fish tacos.

Ricky's is a solid fish taco truck operation run by Ensenada native Ricky Piña specializing in Baja-style "Fish Tacos." In Los Angeles, no one is reputed to be selling a better fried piece of fish dropped into a taco than Ricky's. The beer-batter is thick, crunchy, and uniquely delicious, channeling a high-quality British fish fry. I'd eat this with tartar sauce, malt vinegar, and fries anytime, anywhere. The mild white fish used is flaky basa catfish and the ratio of fish to pico de gallo (chopped tomato, onion, jalapeño, cilantro) to white sauce is perfect. The corn tortilla is of the bagged variety, one of the few dings I can think of against this taco besides a bit of greasiness and the long wait for it. I recommend you squirt some of Ricky's spicy, smoky chipotle sauce on top for maximum enjoyment. After such a joyous fish taco experience, the "Smoked Marlin with Grilled Cheese Taco" was a bit of a let-down. Featuring olives, pimentos, and sautéed bell peppers, this would be a very good taco for someone who disliked smoked fish, because that flavor is completely overpowered by briny olive flavor. Rather than melted cheese, the cheese is grilled dry and crispy into the tortilla. This simply wasn't my kind of marlin taco. Stick with Ricky's Fried Fish Taco and you'll be much happier.

Some of the best tacos I have ever had. This was truly a remarkable experience. Also the customer service was top flight. If you are in the area you have no other choice but to stop. Definitely will be back soon!

Ricky's is a must visit place for me when I'm in LA. Amazing fish and shrimp tacos, perfectly fried and very fresh. Great choice of salsas, all taste homemade and fresh, they add great flavor to already flavorful tacos. For the price and the size these tacos are hard to beat. Seating is very minimal (as it is based out of a truck) so don't be surprised if you'll have to stand or eat in your own car. I'd easily consider these the best fish tacos in all of LA.
