I’m not sure what everyone is talking about. This place was absolutely normal for airport food. I travel a great deal and I’ve come to expect and accept that I won’t be having the best breakfast ever at an airport. You’ve got to also realize that everything is more expensive in the airport. It just is what it is. Be thankful for a meal and move on. We had the sausage and egg sammich and a blueberry muffin. The sammich was fine; it got the job done. The muffin was outstanding. And the people behind the counter were very nice.
For a mini cafe/bakery at an airport location they are pretty good. Fresh deli coffee, fresh squeezed juice, variety of sandwiches and mostly healthy. I was pretty impressed and satisfied
For an airport sandwich I would say it’s ok. You definitely pay airport prices but at least they have a good selection. This place is clean and have a large menu of sandwiches to choose from.
Great staff and selection here. They have this spinach pastry omg so delicious. Highly recommend this spot if you are looking for some sandwiches or pastries
Decent sandwiches at the airport. I also got a fresh squeezed orange juice which was nice. You’ll be paying airport prices so my turkey croissant sandwich and orange juice ran me about $20. I guess it’s better than fast food. Yay....
I had the turkey sausage, egg, cheese, & tomato sandwich on a brioche bun. It was a okay although I thought it was overpriced. I have to take into consideration that it’s at an airport as well as the missional component of Homeboy. I don’t mind paying more for missional businesses, however the food could taste a little better if you’re going to charge higher prices.
My "go to" when I am flying out of LAX. I only get a bagel and cream cheese on my way to the east coast but it is surprisingly enough one of the best bagels I've had (more chewy NY style than something like Noahs) and I have had plenty of fancy bagels.
Just want to give Homeboy some love to hopefully raise their rating. I try to support them when I can because Father Greg and the homeboys/ girls are an inspiration. Got an Americano (they serve intelligentsia coffee) and bagel with cream cheese. Was delicious and staff was friendly. Wasn’t overpriced for the airport - $10 total. I wonder if they have improved because of the bad reviews? Also I can see how some people are peeved by the check-out situation but it wasn’t too complicated. Remember you’re supporting a great cause.
All these people bad reviewing airport food - LOL do you know where you are? 😂 I appreciate these workers trying to get food/beverages in the hands of people in this never ending line whilst being 2 workers down (according to the supervisor). And the lady who handed me my order STILL managed to say “Have a good day” regardless of how busy they were. Thank you guys for your efforts! The food and coffee is adequate and ofc it’s overpriced, but it is what it is, this ain’t a Starbucks - go to one before you get to the airport people sheeesh.
