Review On The Thirty - Los Angeles

Overall this a great place to grab a drink or a bite to eat. The atmosphere/ambiance was nice. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. The service was good! Didn't take long to receive drinks, appetizers or entree's.

Amazing Bar! Great service, best food! I love that there is always available parking at the large parking lot at the back of the restaurant

This place was amazing! Happy hour was excellent. We loved the staff so much! They were extremely nice to costumers. Thank you for everything. We will definitely be returning.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at On The Thirty, and it was a delightful experience. The restaurant has a welcoming and festive ambiance with attractive wood paneling and good music. Although it can be a bit loud, it's perfect for a young crowd but also welcoming for all ages. To start off, we ordered the Mac and Cheese and the bacon-wrapped dates. The Mac and Cheese was creamy, savory, and full of flavor. The bacon-wrapped dates were flavorful, Smokey, and greasy, but tasty. We also tried the calamari, which was crispy, salty, and not greasy. It was a great appetizer to share. For drinks, we ordered two craft beers and a cocktail, and they were all fantastic. Moving onto the entrees, we ordered the Chop Chop salad, which was fresh and had a lot of ingredients, making it a complex and satisfying salad. The Thirty Boulevard Burger with sweet potato fries was the highlight of the meal. The burger was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor, and the sweet potato fries were crunchy and crisp. The Philly Cheesesteak was good but could have benefited from a different kind of bread and a bit more flavor. All of the portions were generous, and we left feeling quite satisfied. The service was fast and friendly, which added to our enjoyable dining experience. Lastly, the bathrooms were super clean, which was a nice touch. Overall, On The Thirty is a great spot to grab a delicious meal and drinks. The food is tasty, the portions are generous, the service is friendly, and the ambiance is pleasant. If you're looking for a fun and lively spot to grab dinner, On The Thirty is definitely worth checking

Strongly recommend this place. Had a great time. The service is really good. I like a server who has personality and will chat but also know when to leave you alone so you can talk with the people you are with . Mimi was our server and was just super nice, had great drink and menu suggestions. She made sure our glasses were always full but never pushy or obstructive! The food was great with generous portions and the drinks were fantastic. Not watered down or light in the pour. I know it might sound strange but I always checkout the restroom before I order. If the restroom is filthy I leave. If it’s dirty I leave. I figure if the house isn’t concerned about my complete experience and aren’t keeping the restroom clean then I doubt the kitchen is much better. Needless to say I stayed!

Do yourself a favor and order the Figs on fire pizza it’s amazing. The service was amazing! thanks Danny for making the best Mexican Mule this side of the boarder. Also check out happy hour and weekend brunch. Even the dishwasher Carlos went out of his way to be of service.

We've been to On the Thirty a number of times and have never been disappointed with what we were served, or the service. I'm a big fan of the Fig on Fire pizza which is sweet, filling, topped with greens and a super unique pizza treat. My wife also got the gluten free crust version and dug it. I also treated myself to the Que Rico from the "Frosty Drinks" menu....Mezcal (think smokey tequila) mixed with vanilla liquor, bitters, brown sugar, lime and mint. Yum! There is plenty for vegetarians to enjoy here too, truffle fries, mac and cheese, fried cauliflower, Brussels (which are vegan and delicious), a couple other pizzas and salads. This is a great, comfortable spot for a delicious meal for any diet and drinks.

A big bar area with friendly bartenders and good food. It is a sports bar with pretty chill atmosphere. We pop in here pretty often for a quesadilla and sweet potato fries. They have the best sweet potato fries in this neighborhood. The Korean BBQ drumsticks are delicious as well. The alcohol beverages are reasonably priced. Jfyi, the bartenders, waiters and waitresses are all super nice and friendly. But the owner/management changes what to charge rather frequently, like some sort of service fee or credit card fee etc. They don't go to the service staff, but to the house. If they want to get more, they can increase the prices of the food. These fees are sneaky and draw unnecessary frowning. Also, they have a private parking lot in the back that charges $5 when we used it last. Before pulling in to the parking lot, look across the street, there is a huge public parking structure that costs you a fraction of the cost of the private one. They also take credit cards.

Yum. First time coming here and I'm low-key obsessed. I believe Emily seated us and served us but she made the experience so much better. Loved the ribs, the crab cakes, and the fries. Drinks were ON POINT!!!!

We had amazing drinks and a a tuna tower. Sat outside with this nice weather. The inside is beautiful as well. Staff was friendly. I forgot to take photo of the cocktail but they are supper cute and well made.

This place is great for everything from drinks to small bites to entrees as they have a pretty great selection of items. Love their niner cab personally! Lots of outdoor seating as well. Food is delicious, for your sweet tooth get the fried Oreos.

I absolutely love this place at night. The workers are great, the food is great, the drinks are excellent. One thing I have to say, avoid their brunch. The owner is so rude and belligerent. She was dressed like a regular client, so when I was rudely told to hang my bag on the barely visible hook on the table. I was taken aback! I thought it was a drunk woman, so I shrugged it off. It was not until my server approached me immediately after the woman left and apologized for their owner's rude attitude. I was shocked! I later witnessed the owner forcibly move a large party that was there for a while, with loads of food and drinks, into a single table with barely room to seat all 9 of them. Literally left one standing without a seat. It was appalling to watch this. It is very obvious that this is regular occurrence, they all have this eggshell walk. Compared to the night, they are very much happier and livelier without her around. It's why I give 4 star rating, I knocked one off because of the owner. Definitely a great spot without the owner around.

Always love this place! Great service, awesome vibe and delicious food! I've come here a few times but highly recommend the 7's cheeseboard, truffle fries, and maybe even follow it up with some buffalo cauliflower! So good. They have a full bar as well as a fairly inventive cocktail list - they have an extensive list of authentic tequilas too! Won't be disappointed.

Just tried this place for lunch ! Chill vibe, dog friendly patio, full bar: We had fantastic thin crust pepperoni pizza, and mouth watering ribs, with a perfect side of slaw to counter the slightly spicy ribs 🕺🏻Definitely going back!

I was so impressed by this restaurant! The food was simply amazing. My husband loves the potato skins as an appetizer, and he said the garlic-infused filet was one of the best he has ever had. The shrimp alfredo is up there as one best I think I've honestly had. Inside was a little loud, but dining outside was perfect. Will be back!

Indoor and outdoor dining experience on Ventura Boulevard. A tasty experience with a variety of menu items, an extensive beer list and cocktails. I had a perfect Old Fashioned that is now craveable and a flaky Maryland Crabcake. We also enjoyed the Shrimp Spinach Salad (spicy shrimp), the Ahi Tuna Tartare and a Margarita Pizza. The service was spot on. We were checked on regularly, food came out hot and fast, left over dishes removed quickly. During Covid they asked for 90 minutes at the table. Tonight must have been an exception with the playoff game on a roll away tv outside, this request was not enforced.

Delicious food with good-quality ingredients, comfortable inside, friendly, honest, and straightforward service. We started with 2 drinks, The White Lotus and The Fire & Sand. My Fire & Sand was one of the most delicious scotch cocktails I've had so far followed up by a glass of Ardbeg on a gentleman's cube. We selected a variety of items on the menu, with all of them delivering on satisfaction. The filet mignon, beet salad, Kobe meatballs, mac & cheese, and coconut shrimp spring rolls, with red velvet fried oreos to-go. A great liquor and drink selection as well as on tap beer. Fries were a little overdone and brown and the coconut shrimp should be more clearly stated as spring rolls and not so exciting, but everything else was superb. Will definitely be back.

Never had a bad experience until our last visit, started off great then once we got our food the waitress never came back, she would keep going to all the tables around us but never would come refill our waters/drinks. I couldn’t even get her attention to get another bloody marry, and when I did finally get her to come over to our table, the two bloody marrys she brought us were gross. She didn’t seem to care that much. It was our 12 year anniversary so we were just a little disappointed that the one time we have a bad experience its on a special day. The food was good but the service was not ok. 🙁

Great atmosphere with deep comfy booths, big wooden tables, soft cushy bar stools and ample TV's to enjoy a game in an elegant surrounding with top notch edibles and potables. Add to this, beautiful food presentation, eclectic drink preparations, and a menu which contains everything from charcuterie to oysters, filet to lobster, vegetarian to vegan and you have something for everyone. We were served by Aria at the bar during a very busy Championship football night while the place was going crazy and she was very attentive and pleasant all night long. Very pleased with our service. Thank you!

I ordered the lobster roll. The flavor was bland. The side salad it came with was pretty good though. The drinks were delicious!

Best Sunday brunch and poutine in town! The service is A+ always, the food amazing and a great place to watch all your favorite sports. Always enjoy going back to On The Thirty!

I live about 100 yards from this place and never go in. The few times I've been in I've had terrible service. First time I went in I ordered a dozen oysters and after 30 min without my order I asked the bartender(who was in a massively important convo with coworkers) where my order was she asked the dude that was shucking and he looked at me like I did a magic trick and huffed like I was doing him a favor that I wanted my oysters. The staff have an attitude. The food is not worth the money. The drinks are just aight. On the thirty. More like on the douchey. Jk. Not gonna spend my dough there.

The service is exemplary and the menu is a deep dive! Five stars

This was my first time, and I found you all using Yelp, and seeing the delectable Red Velvet Covered Oreos, I was sold! The food is great. Unfortunately, our initial interaction sucked. The hostess acted like she couldn't be bothered when we walked in, and was very unpleasant. While I understand it was a busy night (4/13/2016), a professional manner would have made the experience much better. Our server was great! Although, I don't remember her name. We were seated outside.

Always an inventive menu, great selection of beer and wine, and a fun vibe!

waited 15-20 min for a lemonade which I ordered when I got seated - finally came with the food - same with the glass of wine - meanwhile looking at these 2 guys sitting and sipping on their wine who were seated AFTER us . .. .ordered the House pressed sandwitch - was not specified in the menu the type of bread it came on . . .. asked the waitress- was confused . the sandw. was accompanied by sweet potato fries ( menu says spicy chipotle aioli) - was given ketchup . .. just wanted a quick delicious lunch that turned out to be uneasy, blend and expensive . ..

Loved: Love their drinks, a good variety for any taste. Their pizzas are the bomb! The service was on top! Questioned: our gratuity was already included in the bill and was not mentioned; 3 drinks' buzz felt like barely from 1.

Awesome place! Food & service is amazing! Love going there to watch sports! TV's everywhere! Back room is really cool!

Bold statement alert: On the Thirty may be my favourite place in Sherman Oaks so far! There. I said it and now I feel better. I got it out there. From the outside On the Thirty seems like the kind of place you need to dress up for. In fact, my casual strolls along Ventura often discouraged me from walking into On the Thirty when I first got here because I wasn’t quite dressed for the crowd. And then I realized they just have beautiful people working there and thus attract beautiful patrons as well. But that’s a sidenote.

there are a few gastropubs that opened up in sherman oaks! on the thirty is one of the ones we placed on our list. came here celebrating jrod’s birthday.  since he’s a beer guy, i thought this place was perfect!  what we ordered: big mista’s sweet n spicy wings filet pizza – marinara, mozzarella, garlic bourbon marinated filet mignon, caramelized onions, and sriracha amaze balls – potato, cheese, cream cheese, jalapeño, bacon, panko crusted.  served with a basil aioli. white truffle fries the wings are the bomb dot com.  we were told that this was the one thing we had to order.  great recommendation! ohh the pizza!  sriracha on a pizza?  yes, please!  super tasty and everything we wanted it to be. the amazeballs were also good! pretty presentation, huh? fries weren’t too truffley.  we thought they were good. service:  we loved our waitress.  she was uber friendly and gave solid recommendations.  staff in general was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed.  the owner (didn’t get his name) is freaking awesome and very welcoming.  he was the one who urged us to get the wings.  in his words, he would put his wings up against anyone in la.  bold, right? i like bold. parking:  we came here on a labor day and didn’t have an issue finding parking on ventura blvd.  meters only allow for 2 hours so just make sure you set a timer. ambience:  high ceilings.  high booths.  a little on the dark side but an outdoor patio is available.  we actually sat near the window so we enjoyed the benefits of sunlight without the heat (90 degrees that day) outside. nice looking bar with a number of flat screen tvs for your viewing pleasure. overall: i’ve been recommending this to everyone.  i’m confident that it will do well in sherman oaks.  beer selection is solid. food is great (definitely the better gastropubs out there right now).  flat screen tvs.  air conditioning.  how do you not fall in love with this place?
