A few steps above your average taco shop, and even a few steps above most sit down joints. Food is just fresh and tasty, and the burritos are the best I've ever had (outside my favorite, Lolita's Taco Shop in SD).
All I'm going to say is that they have homemade horchata w/ pistachios. It is damn delicious. Get it now!
Talk of hidden gems - this little place is fantastic! Absolutely loved the food here.
The fresh guac and house made tortilla chips were so, so good.
Loved the shrimp fajitas and the tacos all went down really well with the others.

They recommended Mar Y Terra Burrito but I asked if they have tacos and he told us that they can make it into 2 tacos so I have a customized Mar Y Terra Tacos :) and omg it tastes so good like I was so impressed. The beef is tender with juicy shrimp and the chipotle mayo… I found myself finding a whole new level of Tacos. It’s amazing. Must try.

It is one of the best Lengua tacos I have had in a restaurant. Highly recommend. The filet mignon tacos and birria were outstanding as well. Pet friendly in the patio. They gave my pupper water. 💕

Do not worry, I was taking the photos because your tacos are by far the most delicious and wanted to share this time! Shrimp and filet mignon are my favorites! A bit pricey but worth it.
A classic burrito has a tortilla, a protein, and toppings like lettuce, cheese, beans... Sonoritas takes it way past the basics. They add delicious homemade creamy guacamole for a beautiful burrito.
I got their Surf & Turf Burrito and you can see how amazing it looks. Just imagine how amazing it tastes! The S&T burrito has steak and shrimp stacked inside then they slice it in half for easier consumption... THEN LOADED UP AGAIN with steak & shrimp and more guacamole. Talk about bang for your buck

We got the taco sampler, we thought all the tacos were great but I especially liked the Al pastor. The Elote/street corn tasted great and felt like a good portion for two. Their seasoned chips were crisp but okay for the most part the salsa was okay.

Food is really good. Food deserves 5 stars. We especially liked the birria tacos, the ribeye fajitas & the enchiladas. Nice drink menu too.
What is not 5 stars: the service & the organization. I'm sure it's fine at off hours but with their setup and the number of people working there they just can't handle being busy. Servers are busy doing three things and they don't come check to see what else you need. Happens once, could be a fluke but it's happened every time we've been. Seems to be part of the design. But again, probably fine during off hours. Also might be better if you're sitting inside as opposed to outside in the patio.
This place does the thing, that unfortunately is becoming a trend, where you order outside before sitting. Places do this to streamline the process - you spend less time in the seats, they can get more people through and they, in theory, can operate with fewer people. This isn't so bad except you're charging $19 for 3 tacos (it was $12 not too long ago) and asking us to pay and tip (tips are for good service right?) before anybody sits down.
Food is really good tho.
Great place for lunch you pay before you get sat down. Highly recommend the shrimp tacos!
