Summer Canteen

I've been visiting Summer canteen for at least the last five years. Probably longer. It is good food. I wouldn't say it's completely authentic Thai food and it is a little bit on the sweeter side. I do think it's a solid choice for Thai food in the area though. The atmosphere is okay. I find the dining area a little uncomfortable and it's usually kind of cold inside....but I would rather that vs too hot. Most of the dishes are very good. I will say that orange chicken is consistently overcooked.

Wow! This place is amazing! I came here with a friend on a Monday afternoon, and we were seated immediately. The atmosphere was lovely and peaceful, and the staff were super friendly. Our food arrived quickly after ordering and was absolutely delicious. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. I love that they offer a nice variety of vegetarian options, and use Impossible meats in the vegetarian dishes. I had the Impossible Drunken Noodles, and honestly, I can't stop thinking about it, (I'll definitely be beck). Everything was cooked to perfection. The Thai Iced Coffee was amazing too. If you're in the area, this place is not to be missed. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

Summer Canteen continues to impress and consistently delivers excellent food and service. Since moving to the area eight years ago this has been one of my top favorite restaurants in the city. I have never had a bad dish or bad service. The food here is freshly prepared and served hot with a smile. If you love Thai food or if you have never tried Thai food, you WILL love this place. And to turn it up a notch, I would say it's Thai Fusion cuisine. The restaurant has recently added a new happy hour menu with drink and appetizer specials. And continues to offer great lunch combo specials. Now go get your grub on!
