Review Mikkeller - Los Angeles

Cason R
Strong 4 star. Clean as you’re going to see for a bar. Open spaces offering many different styles of seating (high top, table, booth, bar). Felt the beer price range was inexpensive. Had 2 different mikkeller IPA, both nice. Fish tacos were fish tacos. Nothing bad to report there. Cheap. I’d definitely bring friends. Staff is a little stiff but maybe that’s just SF. Didn’t detract from my rating.

Pretty cool bar to enjoy a great craft beer with friends! Most of the tables are high, so you’d feel more comfortable just to talk and drink. They have many options for all tastes, and they also have food! The waiter comes to you and takes your order so you don’t have to get up. And on your birthday you get a free drink!

No wonder this place has such good ratings. They had wide varieties of beers and they even brought around 5 samples based on our liking and we ended up getting the Hipster. It was just too good and was served at the perfect temperature. They had limited options for wine though. Coming to food, and it was just amazing. We ordered Chicken Mango Jalapeño sausage sandwich and a veggie portobello sandwich. Both the sandwiches and french fries were delicious. Must visit place if you are looking for quality bar with great beer options along with good food and nice ambiance.

Great buzzing place on Friday evening. Lots of places to sit and they also have a separate room downstairs for booking private parties. Clean and neat with good service. Great beers, tried couple IPAs but disappointing snacks. We tried their roasted nuts and french fries. Both terrible :(. Would love to come back and give their food options a 2nd chance.

Amazing!!! Don’t let the area deter you 🙃 Really friendly staff that helped me pick a wonderful beer 🍻 Salmon was amazing, tender, and juicy. Environment was clean and comfortable. I went here by myself, brought a book to read, and munched on some salmon and truffle fries 🤙🏼 perfect night

The dark lighting of Mikkeller Bar isjust perfect and makes this a bar with a very nice atmosphere! Even though the bar was completely full, it did not feel that way because the noise was somehow muted, as well the lighting did make you feel this way. There are quite some beer options here, rather more special draft beers with very unique flavors. Prices are varying between 7$ and 15$. Compared to other bars, this price range is quite acceptable for the variety of beers that you get.

Plenty of choices of draft beer. It’s awesome for beer fanatics 😆. And, food is so fresh and whole food. Their falafel is amazing. Idea for vegan lover, but remember to request sauce on the side. 😋

The hot dogs here are realy tasty, beer (the house beer) is good and the staff are nice. When I was there a rock music playlist was playing and it seems that the crowed were mostly 30ish. For me the place have a dark and a bit depressing vibe but overall it was a good experience. Anyway it is a good place to hang and biye somthing small or just drink a pint.

Excellent brew pub that features Mikkeller beers and high quality offerings from other breweries. Food is high quality pub food which goes well with the craft beer choices. They have a short to-go can list, so you can leave your growler at home.

Love the beers at Mikkeller. Its my second time back since like two years ago, and still love the vibe and all the bartenders are super friendly and gives you great recs. Mac and cheese was good (nothing special) but the beers deserve five stars.

Wonderful stop on a Christmas Eve walk through SF. Staff was friendly & knowledgable, beers were excellent, and a meat / cheese platter was amazing. Well worth a visit any time you are in town and want a solid beer selection in a clean, funky modern atmosphere. Will be visiting again the next time we are in the area.

Loads of tasty beers. Cool vibes lots of seating. As far as I food I ordered the chicken sausage which came split in half inside a taco shell. It was above average. The mac n cheese was bomb. Either way, this place is cool. Come by if you like delicious beers.

Clean and spacious spot downtown to grab a beer. The bar uses the “flux capacitor” gas blending system at specific temperatures for more aromas, mouthfeels and flavors (supposedly). I don’t know if it works but the beers were good. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They can suggest beers based on your preferences. No happy hour and the place starts getting busy around 6pm.

Mikkeller was great, a little slow on the service side but what place isn't these days. Not gonna knock a great place for lack of staff. I'd highly recommend it! Great beers and great food.

Nice space with a bunch of places to lean if you can't find a seat at the bar or get a table (requires the hostess). Reasonable menu and the house IPA I had was tasty. My only real complaint would be price... $8 for 50cl of beer (and that was the cheap stuff) is pricey. Then again I remember when a $10 cocktail was outrageous...

Mikkeller Bar is definitely my favourite among all bars I visited during my vacation in San Francisco. Simple, modern, cozy, inviting. They have a large selection of beer and food, but a bit more expensive than I anticipated. The hot dog was delicious, one of the best I had and the IPA was very good too. I went to Mikkeller on a friday afternoon and the bar was rather empty, service was great, the waitress was kind to help me pick what to eat.

The Mikkeller is a world-class beer joint! Whether you’re sipping their own offerings or any of the beers they feature on tap, from light to dark, or crisp and refreshing to heavy, you’re sure to be delighted! Craftsmanship is the name of the game here, with exquisite presentation and service. Add a wonderful interior bar space and it’s easy to see why the Mikkeller is a beer-lover’s destination! If you’re in SF, make sure you don’t miss it!

If you're a beer enthusiast, this is a great place for you to stop. They have a constantly rotating beer list, which includes a decent number of rares. Additionally, the basement features a sour bar, so if you're into sour and funky beers, pop down there for a taste of something different. The food is above average for bar food, and the sausages are generally very good. The only downside is that it can get very busy, so if you're looking for dinner, you may wind up waiting for a bit. That said, it's worth the wait.

Wow - the beer selection was fantastic and every pour was perfect. The food incredibly tasty and fresh - I can’t wait to go back again!
