Ramen and udon soups looked and tasted as regular cup ramen. Dissapointed considering the restaurant is located at Little Tokio. All other plates as chicken katsu were ver good.
The sushies were good but normal nothing amazing, the ramen was great and the katsu chicken were so so. But overall worth a try.
Katsudon and a side of kimchi hit the spot! the Katsu was juicy juicy and tender. The Kimchi was just right for me liking. Not too sour or raw, fermented to perfection. My server was nice and attentive. Atmosphere was mellow and the music volume just right. The playlist was chill, and not like some other spots where you feel like you’re at a rave. There’s a parking garage next to the restaurant or street parking.
Even though every where in Little Tokyo was busy at dinner time, this place still managed to seat us in a very timely manner! The waitress was quick and efficient, and the food was DELICIOUS and PLENTIFUL! Definitely worth the price!
Went to the place for lunch based on reviews when we visited Little Tokyo. So happy with the choice. We ordered Salmon bento combination, Chicken Teriyaki bento combination, udon noodle soup, Funcky roll, World Series roll (all 10 pieces), all food are good. Portion are good, grilled salmon and teriyaki chicken are tender and tasty! All rolls are big, fresh and full of flavour. Good value for money.
We recommend!
Great food, the portions are incredible and the taste is really really good, would go if i wanted to have a traditional Japanese plate.
Tried this new spot with my friend. The service , atmosphere, and food was amazing. So much so that I forgot to take a before picture. What you see is the last slice of sushi I ordered. Definitely recommend
I've been here more than a handful of times in the past decade. Their ramen and mini donburi is a great deal and a solid meal, especially to share if not looking to overeat. The last time I visited I had an eel hand roll, basic tonkatsu ramen, and chashu mini don. The basic tonkatsu ramen isn't worth it for what it is and can be quite disappointing to be honest. I personally don't feel like shelling out over $25 for an upgraded version of the pork ramen. Service is great but nothing exceptional. All in all, I'd recommend this place, but with a grain of salt ... and on this note, I must complain that everything I usually order is super high sodium so much that I usually have a headache and don't feel too well after eating, be but that's usually the case with unagi sauce and donburi sauce and any ramen.
Update: The chirasu noodles are legit!!! Pork everywhere!!!
I think this place has the best bento combo. The amount is fantastic. Their sushi and handrolls are on point! I had the Hamachi and the spicy scallop handroll. Excellent stuff and my wife couldn't dent the bento!
The Chashu ramen only 23 bucks was very good value. Taste not bad, can feed 2-3 people. And they do validation for parking if you park at the mall parking garage. 2 hour free parking
