Review Rosaline - Los Angeles

Ryan N
Myself into group of friends came here from my birthday dinner recently. While the service wasn't great, the food made up for it. The seafood paella, yucca fries, and butternut squash were must-haves. The pollo a la parilla was good. The tomahawk steak was the only culinary disappointment of the night but I believe it was our friend's fault for insisting on it being cooked medium which was too much.

Spectacular and unique food dishes at an amazing price point. Beautiful dining room. Front bars and dining area are noisier than the far back dining area. Squash is fantastic! Olives and gherkins are spiced with Thai peppers. Ceviche is wonderfully tasty. The chefs here are some of the best in Los Angeles. I thank them for the delicious dishes. Heavy pours on the cocktails. Valet or street parking. Highly recommended. Exceptional quality!

Listen to me...... This place is amazing! The dishes are so finely crafted. Feels like they should have a Michelin star. The staff were super kind, the ambiance is beautiful and the food feels like it should be way more expensive. You will remember and talk about their dishes for a long time after trying them.

Taste :4.3/5 Environment: 4.4/5 Service:4.3/5 Rosaline is a contemporary Peruvian restaurant that offers a variety of dishes, from ceviches and causas to grilled meats and seafood paellas. The restaurant has a stunning patio dining area, where you can relax and savor the fresh flavors and aromas of Peru. One of the dishes that I highly recommend is the chaufa paella, which is a fusion of Chinese fried rice and Spanish paella. This dish is loaded with shrimp, calamari, chicken, pork belly, egg, scallions, and ginger. The rice is cooked in a rich and savory broth, infused with saffron and soy sauce. The result is a mouthwatering combination of textures and tastes, with a hint of smokiness from the wok. The portion is generous enough to share, but you might want to keep it all for yourself. Rosaline also has an impressive cocktail menu, featuring classics like pisco sour and chilcano, as well as creative concoctions like bellicose warrior and purple haze. The drinks are well-balanced and refreshing, perfect for pairing with the food or enjoying on their own. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is lively and cozy.

This was my first time there, and I enjoyed every bit of it. The drinks were amazing. The bartender was awesome. He made me a specialty drink. From the time we walked in the door, until the time we left, the employees were great. Very attentive and polite. I would definitely go again and recommend it to family and friends.

Delicious, delicious. The Lomo al trapo (pictured) is one of the best meat dishes I have ever had. Can’t wait to come back to try their Chaufa. One little BUT — the two sides we got were not as amazing. I wouldn’t recommend the Causita crocante. The Diver Scallop is just a regular salad, which is boring, but the scallop itself was also out of this world!!! Big, cooked really well and topped with crispy quinoa. Overall, recommend this place big-time and will come back.

Great experience dining here! Excellent food and service! All dishes were very flavorful, distinctive, well prepared and presented. The service was on point and I was impressed with every plate. The ceviche was my favorite - sea bass was tasty and the grilled prawns were delicious. The presentation of Paella was perfect as every bite of it! I enjoyed the interior and friendly service! This is a perfect place to go on a date or even in larger groups!

Cute vibe and good food. My favorite dish was the scallops with yuzu and arugula salad. I didn't get to try the bread due to allergies but my whole group said all the spreads were delicious. Also enjoyed the octopus and potatoes. Simple and well cooked. Space can get a little tight but service was great and vibe was lively. Everyone was well-fed family style without breaking the bank. Hope to come here again during the day.

Really great scallops, seared with a sweet nearly raw center. The accompanying salad and grapefruit were quite complimentary. The seafood paella was comforting, with juicy plump shrimp, although lacking a bold flavor and crispy rice on the bottom. The lomo saltado, while beautiful and a smooth tomato sauce, overcooked the steak. Service was polite and fast. The ambiance was cozy with great vegetation decor. Would like to try the ribs and eggplant.

Fantastically good food, service a bit absent, place a little chilly and not jolly if you are not in a group. But the food is really really good, paella sublime, so if you want a great meal don't hesitate to go there. But bring a sweater as it's a covered patio and I suppose difficult for them to get the temperature right.
