This is a good place after a marathon or overtime rugby match. The meat Patties alone are enough for a normal appetite but add the big buns, lettuce, pickles, cheese, tomatoes and onions. Has the vibe of Fatburgers on La Cienega in the 80’s. Down and dirty and fantasic. Get the fries and share one between two.
If you want to feel like you’re in the last scene 🎬 in Training Day go at nighttime. I was one of two whites on a lovely moon drop on and the other guy looked like he needed a Pamper. 🤷🏻♂️Relax, things can go wrong when you look like a deer in the headlights.
Really good hamburger, if you love a well made beef on a bun you can handle your business.

Juice Hamburger Taste- so good worth for what you pay we got the double cheeseburger with Hot-Link and Pastrami. And they are really friendly definitely we are coming back

Came on a weekday afternoon. Parking was fine but limited to a dead end street. There’s a sign for an empty lot that says street parking is free but parking in the lot is 10 dollars. Hell no.
Service started off pretty awful. The young girl taking orders is literally the poster child for awful customer service. The only words she even spoke was my total. No thank you, hello, nothing at all. Was literally on her phone as I was paying and left. Whoever she is, she has a promising career ahead of her at the DMV.
My opinion of this place changed when I got my food. The woman handing out food was soooo friendly! Literally the polar opposite of the woman taking orders. So friendly, so intelligent, and had all of us waiting for our food in mind the whole time. I don’t know if she’s the owner but she acts like it. I love that lady. If you’re reading this, thank you for brightening my day.
The burger and fries are AMAZING. Succulent and thick (pause) patty on a brioche bun. Same style but better quality than those fancy bistro style burgers, for half the price.
So overall, call your order in, remember that you’re right next to the projects (so keep it neutral), and get you a burger.

I’m a vegetarian now, but I still think about this burger. I stopped here with my housemates after a full day at the beach in 2018. We were ravenous, and I remember being so excited to get our food.
There was a bit of a wait, because good food takes time, and we were happy to hang out and chat. When the food came out, we were so thrilled, and we devoured the food. It was unreal. See photo for reference!

My wife & I stopped in to try this L.A gem. And we are very pleased with the outcome! I ordered chil cheese fries with a triple bacon cheeseburger. It was massive & so delicious. For now on anytime I come in to south central. I will definitely make this my lunch stop. We just wished they had some places to sit and eat. We enjoyed our food in our vehicle out front. God bless the workers of this establishment. Very positive vibes we got thru the whole experience.

This place, wow the burgers are Fantastic they give Fat Burger 🍔, In & Out 🍔 a run for there money 💰. It's not in the nicest of neighborhoods, but it's worth the trip (nobody will bother you) . You want a juicy excellent burger 🍔?

These burgers were everything!! We are so satisfied with the service, food and wait time. We ate every single piece of food we got from here down to the bbq sauce. Fye! My veggie burger was so good and flavorful! Onion rings and fries were great, I love fresh and not frozen. Red koolaid was on point too! Friendly and welcoming staff for first time.

The burgers & fries are good. The strawberry lemonade hit the spot. .There was a 45 min wait for my food & there is no sitting. You will have to park across in the empty lot but I really don't know if you're supposed to.

Order pickup to skip the line. Very good burger and fries. Strawberry lemonade is among the best. Portion sizes are honestly too big sometimes, but I can't complain about too much food. Great spot.

First day was yesterday with my daughter and i went back today! A maz ing! She had a jr burger with cheese n bacon combo; they forgot the cheese yesterday; I had a turkey burger with cheese, bacon, egg and today I asked for avocado but it was sauce n not the real deal so i won't order that again. Went n the afternoon; can't do that area at night. All types of folks there though; staff great and today we discovered the parking lot but I'm gonna have to give it a rest for a while so i won't add any additional poundage but the food was quite good. I can tell most folks call their orders in but my wait Sat was about 45 min. N today, 30. I enjoyed the time people/hood watching.......interesting.

The food is great!!! You can't find this tasty burger anyplace else. There is always a wait as the food is cooked when you order and the place is usually crowded (because it's THAT good)!!! Definitely worth the wait!! The area appears a little shady but the people are totally cool!! 😎

If you want to sit outside under the tent or covered area and enjoy the best darn burger in the state you need Hawkins in your life. You will hear "ORDER UP" screamed loudly and stand in the line that sometimes extends to the sidewalk, but well worth every moment.
If you so sophisticated that you don't like being in the hood keep driving. It's a cool place,and calling in your order is better. They were very nice to me. I told the cashier it was my first time and she explained what was on the burger and walked me through. My Mom use to make the same huge hand patted patties for me back in Louisiana. My first time there yesterday and I had the monster burger with chili and cheese and some fries . The burger could easily feed two but I’m fat and I ate the whole thing !! What impressed me most was an employees Kindness to a homeless woman lady ok’ing for a cup of water . She asked for water and you offered her something to eat , on you . God bless this place . Where do you ever see that ? I’ll defini be back Becuase i going to eat everything on your menu !!

I ordered a double bacon chili cheese burger, when my boyfriend picked it up it was made but they didn't have chili, so they gave him a coupon for next time. They should have never made the burger ,they should have asked if I would take it without chili. They burger was ok but that fact still remains

The food is excellent depends on who the cook is and check your order before you leave especially if it's crowded but other than that the good is beyond good when you are tired of burger king and McDonalds and Tams try Hawkins you won't be disappointed and prices are good. I well definitely continue to go there when I want a good burger.

It was one of the best turkey burgers! If I ever go again, I would need to share. I asked should I have fries or onion rings, she suggested onion rings. I only ate half the burger and 4 onion rings... it was a very juicy burger. I don't like to waste food, so I definitely share next time. Delicious
