Review Claim Jumper Restaurants - Los Angeles

Per owners request. What could have been done different to get a 5 star rating. First, no one was waiting and it still took 5 minutes for a busser to ask if we've been helped. He had a smile at least. The girl was right there and she never looked up to see if anyone was there, even though we were talking to each other. The noises should have alerted her. My food (choose 3) was dry, chicken burnt on bottom, I asked for medium, and got medium rare. Waved server down for all we needed vs him coming to us and asking if we are ok. Things moved really slow for it to be mostly empty. Would I travel 35 miles again for it? I'd go to Pasadena instead. I had the choose 2 and food was falling off the bone and very tender. Waitress visited us so much I was very pleased.

We were here for the Mother's Day brunch and I got to say it was very good. I got to say there was a lot of people but a lot of food. From breakfast items to lunch everything was good and the workers were on top of Bring It Out fresh food every time. And this is one of the biggest restaurants I've seen.

Food was delicious. Sat on the bar side for "Happy Hour", nothing on there was really like, "wow". Had a $6 pint of Guinness. I wouldn't say I saved very much on that. Service was good though. Got recommendation for the potato cheddar soup and it was a great choice. Slices of potatoes and carrots in the soup, hearty and had decent amount of cheese. Came with toast. The chicken alfredo (kid's menu) had a creamy sauce and ample amount of chicken throughout. Everyone loved the baked beans with sausage. The cream-style corn was delicious! Sweet and creamy with fresh corn. All in all, definitely coming back to try more stuff.

Delicious lunch at Claim Jumper Northridge! KRISTINA was our server and she did a terrific job taking care of us. We shared Buffalo Cauliflower and Potato Skins to start (+ Horseshoe Margarita). Then shared Lobster BLT and Tri-Trip (w/Bleu Cheese add) and finished with the Caramel Pecan Butter Cake. Definitely recommend everything but Lobster BLT was 😋❤️.

This place has alot to offer from oven brick pizzas to seafood and steaks. I like to try different restaurants owned by landrys and this place is a good one. I will be coming back when I'm in town.

Great happy hour - and they even have vegan options - and we took our kids! We got the pretzel with mustard instead of cheese sauce and we got the veggie pizza without cheese. We split 2 pizzas and 2 pretzels between 2 adults and 3 kids under 9 and then my husband and I each got a beer and our tab was under $30 before tip! We sat in one of the booths to keep the kids contained and our server was awesome. Food came fast and everyone was friendly even though we had a rambunctious 2-year-old with us. We love this place and will definitely come back. I didn't take pictures when the food first came, so this is what it looked like halfway through eating. *****REPLY TO OWNER'S RESPONSE: I thought I gave it five stars, so I must have accidentally hit four, but it's been fixed and is now five stars! But, if you guys can continue to include/add more plant-based and vegan options to your happy hour menu, we'll look forward to trying them next time!

Yard House or Claim Jumper? Today, it was Claim Jumper. Haven’t stopped by in a while, but totally happy I did! Ordered the BBQ Pizza, Chicken Wings, crispy, Coconut Shrimp, and Calamari. Food was cooked perfectly. Pizza was tangy and just right. Calamari was likely the best ever eaten. Delicious. Service by Hannah was great. Thanks Claim Jumper for a nice late afternoon out!!!!

Classic American dishes and appetizers. Bar area with a good selection on tap and bottled beer. The cakes are delicious. A nice place for a meal with friends. Daily and happy hour specials.

Salmon Oscar is my favorite : ) Everything in the menu is absolutely delicious. I love the Strawberry Margsritas. Excellent customer service. You're going to love it ❣

Tonight, I enjoyed the steak and shrimp, with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes, along with a Moscow mule and a black coffee to chase it. I ordered the steak medium rare, and it was--for lack of a more descriptive word--exquisite. I was transported by every bite, and the seasoned, buttery shrimp skewer was a perfect companion. The sides were fine, but the steak was the star of the show. The mule was expertly prepared, and their coffee was a humble medium roast with subtle but inviting character. Flawless diner coffee. It was an enjoyable experience from end to end, and I highly recommend the Northridge Claim Jumper to anyone in the mood for a wonderful steakhouse experience.

The server was awesome. Got there an hour early for Happy hour and our server was so cool that he threw down free fries until it was happy hour. Dude was the bomb. Love Claim Jumper.

Miscommunication, our waiter didn’t clarify our Birthday Boys order. Resulting in him never recieving his Lunch. The Manager did offer to have the dish made. By then the rest of the Party was done and ready to leave. He was not offered any incentive to return to this establishment unfortunately... Such a disappointment.

Went with my kiddos the service was great the only thing is the new fries they have are awful I paid $15 for a burger and fries and fast food restraint ones were better my fries were dry and over cooked and tasteless and I love fries but don’t think I will order them again

Brandon was our server for a babyshower (we had the private patio) he was amazing! He made sure we wanted for nothing and made the day even better.

Happy Hour is good, but the service at the bar is really bad. I was there in a Friday night. The bar was full and they only had 2 waitresses. Between getting a menu and ordering the food and drinks and later on a glass of water, we had to basically get up and look for the waitresses, not their fault but management can probably do a better job getting more help, specially on a Friday night.

Prices are insanely high, food is mediocre and one of the servers talked so loud it was painful. Thankfully my server was on it, smiled and her service was excellent.

We went early 6pm to get a table for 15 people for dinner at 8pm . We got a small table 3 of us had to seat out of the table and it was dark as well . We asked to have more light and a bigger table . The answer was they don’t have anything open and they could not turn on the lights. Thank you last time we come here. Maybe we should have gone in when the place open.

My first time trying Claim Jumpers. WHAT WAS I WAITING FOR?!?!?! Everything I tried was really good. If your looking for a good bowl of clam chowder like SF dockside ... this will take care of that craving. The chicken potpie was delicious as well and a good portion for being home lunch for the next day ;) The sample appetizer plate was really good as well... the favs on that were the spinach dip & fried zucchini. The bread was so soft and tasty too! My weakness is desserts and I ALWAYS have to try a dessert when we go to dinner BUT... I was so full I couldn't taste another bite. I cant find anything to say negative beside portions being big, so this is def high stars in my book! ;) Thanks Claim Jumper for a tasty wonderful meal.

I repeated attempted to fill out the claim jumper customer service contact form, but the website would not process the request, so here is my commentary on tonight's dining experience for the public instead (cut from the comment section I tried to send): We orderd the bowtie chicken pasta w/ house salad, filet mignon w/ roasted veggies and a baked potatoe, wedge salad with blue cheese dressing (extra blue cheese), carrot cake, cheese cake. Starting with the pasta, the dish had about 8 spinach tortelloni mixed into it and hidden beneath the garnishes. I had almost as many bites of tortelloni as I did bowtie pasta while eating the meal. Not what I ordered. The wedge salad was ordered with extra blue cheese dressing. Unfortunately, the dressing was neither extra nor blue cheese. Instead she was given a berry vinigerette dressing. Again, not what she ordered. The filet was underwhelming and thin. As the standards of cuts of meat at Claim Jumper have generally been excellent and generous in the past, we expected the typical thick, tasty cut of meat. Not the flat, tasteless afterthought that was delivered to us. Unfortunately, because we used a delivery service and did not dine in (as my girlfriend is recovering from rotator cuff surgery), we could not see a manager or return the food, and waiting another hour or more was not an option. The entire experience left us totally unsatisfied and I am certain Claim Jumper will not be our choice of dining experience the next time we order in or dine out.

Ate lunch during the restaurant's Saturday happy hour with friends. My friends took advantage of the discounted drinks and appetizers and had coconut shrimp, sliders, artichoke dip and tortilla soup. I had grilled shrimp and tortilla soup. The tortilla soup is delicious and the grilled shrimp was very good. Drank a deep eddy honey mule which was refreshing and delicious. All around great meal and great service. Good way to spend the afternoon.

I was invited to Happy Hour at the Claim Jumpers by a classmate of mine . Not knowing what to expect at first until we sat down and was handed a menu and then that's when I notice all of the menu items were so tempting so we order majority of them,to try them out, and drinks to wash it down with. As our truck load of food arrived we were amazed by how good everything looked and smell alone. We ordered: a mini Caesar Salad, Lemon Pepper Zucchini, Street Tacos (fish), Apple- Glazed Meatballs, Tempura Shrimp Sticks, Bacon Wrapped Shrimp that was out of this world, Beef Sliders and Irish Nachos. The price for each item ranges from 2-8 dollars( if that wasn't good enough) and drinks were half off. Each item on this menu was delicious and the drinks were just right. I couldn't get enough of everything that was placed in front of me. The crowd was cool. The restaurant was nice, big and cozy the service was attentive. Everyone was mingling and having such a great time. I love this Happy Hour and I will shout it from the Mountain Top Lol!!!AW

I loved this restaurant. I loved their sandwiches and fries. Not like fast food fries. These fries were bomb!! Don't ask for anything more just come and see for yourself...

Eatin BIG!. This place has that mountain log cabin feel with a large fireplace in the waiting area and huge animal heads hanging on the walls. i'm thinking gold miners were very big eaters! as you walk there is a glass case holding their "motherlode" chocolate cake which is a six layer chocolate cake with walnuts. yum! the moistest decadent cake you'll ever have. they have everything you could imagine on the menu from salads, sandwiches and pastas to seafood and BIG roasts and aged steaks! all dishes are better off shared as they are more than enough to feed 2 people. everything i've tried is delicious. their cheese toast and apple cinnamon muffins are the best! come hungry!
