Cool new brewery in Highland Park. A nice expansion from their original Van Nuys location. Plenty of seating inside. They also have a nice big patio. A good place for groups. The beers are good. Pizza is pretty good too. There's street parking up and down the block.

We checked out MacLeod on its opening night after being fans of their other location and it did not disappoint! We wanted to see if our run club (LA Craft Runners) could stop here and of course wanted to check out the beers! The staff were gracious despite how crowded it was and our beers were poured quickly and tasted delicious. I enjoyed the pale ale and lager. I was also really happy to see vegan options on the menu as well, although didn’t get a chance to try them this visit. I will be back but overall just really happy MacLeod is finally open, a welcome addition to this space.

Nice spot on the south end of York to share beers and hang with friends! Plenty of seating indoors with a nice enclosed patio in back. Darts, board games, etc. seating for two or large parties. Pizza is solid with a good variety of in-house beers.🍻

They have vegan pepperoni and vegan cheese. You can taste their beer before buying them. And they were amazing 🍺🍻
The staff are so kindly and patient, and the atmosphere is good and it’s pet friendly.

Amazing beer and food!! Some of the best beer in LA, lots of unique options like cask ale. They have a cellar room that’s more of a brewery feel, and another area that is more like a pizza restaurant. There’s something here for everyone. Love the spicy Calabrian pizza sauce and Greek salad 😋

Total eastside gem – and an ideal local hangout for families and larger groups. We have two small children and this is just the perfect spot for us to bring them so we can enjoy some pints and our toddler can run around.
Overall, Macleod on York fills the "classic pub" need in Highland Park with a great patio, delicious pizzas (that are super affordable), and a solid brewing program. Speaking of which, make sure you try the Cask Ales; it's a rare (for the US) style that is a nice, easily drinkable diversion to the usual IPA scene.

First I'm a big fan of a Brooklyn dollar slice spot, and for a SoCal pizza spot, this cheese pie was thin, crispy and delicious. I want to give 5 stars, but the Lady I got the attention of didn't ask me why I was there or if she could help, she just told me to go to the other room to order. I had to get her attention again and tell her I had a phone order. She didn't verify who I was or what my order was. Lucky for me I checked the pizza before I left and it was the right order. I'm knocking a star off because customer service is job one for a food joint and although she was friendly, it wasn't good service. Lastly, a side note on the pizza. Crust was great, sauce perfect but cheese was a bit greasy and salty. That typically happens with a low moisture low grade motz. If you're the owner and read this. Please emphasize customer service to your staff, and if I'm wrong about the cheese I'll take it back, if not, I'm spending almost 20 bucks for a cheese pie, and good quality cheese isn't too much to ask for. I'll give em another try and update my review later. Hopefully it will be a 5 star experience next round.

I had the Deluxe Pizza 🍕 on the recommendation from the hostess, it wasn’t all that and it came uncooked (raw like ) in the middle, my waitress asked if I wanted said pizza 🍕 back in oven to be cooked some more!???🤔 I said no, they remaid it over, better but a little on the crispy dark side!!! The lemonade taste weak water 💦, not good too me for would l go back?????? This place is not affordable and things can add up quick $$$$ so No!! Their are at least 8+ pizza 🍕 places a very short drive from here....💯🤑🤔😂🤡🤡🤡🤡

As always we expected and received excellent food and service from Maximiliano. We usually make a reservation but took a chance last night and must have been our lucky night. We ordered the baked eggplant with tomato, basil, ricotta, parmesan and mozzarella, and the warm spinach salad for starters, followed by our favorite pizza - bianca verde with preserved lemon, garlic, ricotta, arugula, and grated reggiano. Decided to skip dessert. Wish their decaf coffee could have more body, it tasted kind of weak. But not a deal breaker.

First time there last night...everything was spot on...sat at the bar for a few glasses of wine...olives and beets as starters while waiting for my brother and sis-in-law to arrive. At our table, more wine (various oaked, unoaked chardonnays, pinot, and rose), shared a margherita pizza, watermelon w beet salad, and for entrees the lamb, salmon, squid ink pasta with shellfish, lasagne with Bolognese sauce and extras...it was all really, really good. The room was busy, but we held a conversation easily. Very friendly, but not fussy service. Just one more reason to love this neighborhood.

Neighborhood Gem with a 5-star beer list featuring Craftsman Brewery among others. The food is 5 star too! The bakery items are so good - I will go back just for the best scone I ever had! It was a Maple Nut Scone.

This is a great place in Highland Park. Great pizza and the pork chop out of this world. Great craft beer selection. Monday evening they have beer flights. Outside patio is wonderful in the evening.

Was there in late August for a birthday celebration first time there and the best food I have ever had in the area pasta was amazing salad was good the service was beyond what I expected the ambiance was gorgeous had dinner out in the patio area the building is great can't say enough about it all I can say is I suggest if you get a chance please go you will return over and over

My waitress during brunch was very nice and pleasant to chat with. My friends and I had a good time.. The food was delicious and my mother even enjoyed what I brought home... I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict... Was delightful and full of flavor. Will be taking my mother there.

I didn't think the food was great. The mussels were bland. Pizza not that flavorful. Pasta was good. If u bring your own cake there is a 5.00 per slice fee which I think is ludicrous. I would never go back
