Review Village Pizzeria - Los Angeles

I've had the pleasure of dining at many Italian pizza places in Los Angeles, but this particular establishment stands out as one of the very best. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for an unforgettable culinary experience. The star of the show, of course, is the pizza. The moment it arrives at your table, you can see and smell the care and dedication that goes into crafting each pie. The crust is a perfect balance of crispy and chewy, providing a delightful foundation for the delectable toppings. Whether you prefer a classic Margherita with its simple yet flavorful combination of tomato, mozzarella, and basil or a more adventurous choice like a specialty pizza, this place delivers on taste and quality. What truly sets this place apart is their commitment to using only the finest, freshest ingredients. The sauces burst with rich, authentic Italian flavors, and the cheese is of the highest quality. You can taste the passion and craftsmanship in every bite. The service is exceptional, with knowledgeable and friendly staff who are eager to make recommendations and ensure you have a memorable dining experience. The wine selection complements the pizzas perfectly, offering a variety of options to suit different tastes. Don't forget to explore their dessert menu, which is a delightful end to a fantastic meal. Whether you're a pizza aficionado or just looking for a delicious meal in a charming setting, this Italian pizza place in LA is a must-visit. It consistently delivers on its promise of outstanding food, welcoming ambiance, and top-notch service. I can't recommend it enough – it's a true gem in the LA dining scene, and the entire experience is one that will keep you coming back for more.

Just wow! Excellent NY-style pizza in the peaceful, trendy oasis of LA that is Larchmont Village. My friends and I initially planned on splitting one pizza when we sat down. Once we saw the menu and couldn’t decide, we all got our own 🤣 5 stars for delicious pizza and excellent service. Stephen (or Steven*) is the man !! Will definitely be back soon.

Every time we travel to California we always come here. In a span of 10 years, the pizza has remained consistent and delicious. Our server, Issel, was fast and friendly. We ate outside under the covered patio, with a view of the Hollywood sign in the far distance, a quiet breeze, a clean table, and a 16" pepperoni pizza. Everything was perfect.

Best pizza and extremely helpful and friendly staff! I love coming back here!

The service should be a six here. The food is good but the staff her goes above and beyond. And look at our empty plates.

Very very good pizza!! Was a little slow service wise but was worth the wait. I would also recommend the garlic knot and the marinara sauce is lovely.

Went with a couple of friends for a “linner”. No wait. We got some drinks, 2 18” Neapolitan thin crust pizzas: Village Special with anchovies 1/2 Pesto + 1/2 Clam and Garlic All the pizzas were super flavorful, the Village Special with anchovies was my favorite. The portion sizes are generous, so the leftovers were a welcome surprise. The only negative thing I can think of… I was expecting a crispier bottom pizza considering it was thin crust. Both of our pizzas were soggy on the bottom.

The best and most iconic pizza place in Los Angeles! Make sure you try their new buffalo chicken special pizza or classic signature cheese one!

Superb pizza and a particular New York -style ambience. Very friendly staff. Larchmont village is just an incredible which makes the trip over there even more rewarding. If you’re not feeling too guilty, then hop in next door for some of the best ice cream. The only downside is that the space is somewhat small.

A magical place that takes me back to my childhood regardless if I'm in San Francisco or Los Angeles. The pizza tastes identical in both locations. Amazing. This pizza is something my family has enjoyed for generations 💯

Dare I say it...? I'm a New Yorker living in LA, and I've long searched for the best NY slices in Los Angeles. Village Pizzeria Larchmont has be my favorite sicilian slice I've found out here. Reminds me of home!

Talk about my fave pizza spot ! From the thin crust to the Sicilian thick crust quality ingredients for amazing flavor ! Fresh salads w house made balsamic vinegar dressing (many other dressings but that's my fave) ! Pastas are great as well as the house made soups can't go wrong w anything you order ! And for desert the Italian ices ! Great people in a cute quaint little village.

A classic "hole-in-the-wall" neighborhood pizzeria, Village Pizzeria is always gratifying using the freshest ingredients, friendliest service and sumptuous meal items, Village Pizzeria is a genuine gem of a family run establishment that should be patronized by everyone who enjoys tasty Italian food made the way you'd expect it to be made every time all the time.

Went there for the first time with my husband and son. This place gets crowded but for good reason. The pizza was delicious, as were the garlic rolls. I highly recommend trying the clam and garlic pizza. 👌🏼 My husband, who is a native New Yorker, loved it. We will definitely be back.

Not exactly New York pizza but mighty close. Good crust, flavor, cheesy oily yumminess. Good service at the tables too.

Village Pizza is awesome. Certainly the best since years ago on the east coast. They have an extensive menu and we will be back some other options. Simply delicious.

My small group of friends have been eating here on Friday nights since 2009! We refer to our dinner group as the FNSC. The Friday Night Supper Club. Family owned and operated restaurant.Just the best pizza, hands down!

OVERATED- This place absolutely blows in customer service. The bonehead owner doesn’t get it. Rude and abrasive even to the slightest whim. He has a response for every single comment and is always right. What other sane owner is so positively obsessed with monitoring their reviews ? Atrocious staff behavior as well. This guy should walk with his head to the ground ashamed like the soaking wet junkyard dog that he is. Their multiple negative reviews illustrate how many others have a problem with these no class urchins.

We were recommended this as being the best place for pizza by our hotel concierge. Asked if we should book but she said, oh no, just turn up, it's not that kind of place. $50 in taxi fares later and almost two hours gone, we are back at The Andaz hungry and everywhere is shut. The staff at Village Pizzeria could not have been more helpful. They spent ages trying to book a taxi return for us as you can't just flag one down here. They could not do enough for me and I didn't even get the chance to spend any money with them. If you get the opportunity please go in when they are open and spend some money. If their Pizza is anywhere as good as their service, I would not hesitate in recommending them. I just wish I knew the name of the young lady who was patient enough to help me despite the fact she was trying to cash up and go home. Thanks guys, you are great.

OVERRATED. This place's pizza is average at best. Their thin crust is like eating a wet paper towel with ketchup on it. I can appreciate a good slice of New York style pizza, but the consistency of the crust offers absolutely no support to the toppings; a morsel of parmesan cheese just sends the tip of the slice drooping downward. Good New York slices have some sort of body and significance in their crust.

Furthermore their toppings are pedestrian, especially their week as hell crumbled sausage offerings. Even Dominoes doesn't have that crappy crumbly sausage anymore.

And their "Sicilian" style pizza is more commonly referred to as French Bread Pizza. Anybody claiming this as "the best Pizza in L.A." is high or stupid or both.

Almost the best pizza. This place has the greasiest most delicious pizza I've ever had in Los Angeles. (aside from Mr. Pizza on Fairfax) I usually get the generic cheese with a side of ranch and it's to die for. I usually get delivery (min. $20) and it takes them an hour to 1.5 hrs which is a bummer since their sit down location is kind of a tight spot. I guess that's pretty common in a lot of "New York styles" pizza places, but I thoroughly enjoy their food.
AB Restaurant
Best Pizza in LA. By far this is the best and most authentic NY pizza in LA. The owner is a NYer and he definitely brought the pizza with him. Love it!!

If you are craving NYC pizza with a Cali twist, this the place for you! Yum!

Another wanna be NYC style pizzeria. Their delivery people take forever if at all. The last time I used them they told me I was out of their delivery area although they had delivered before.
Carlos Rossi
Best thin crust pizza!. These guys know how to make a pie! try their specialty pizza, sans the little fishies... it was amazing!

Very good pizza... This is my new favorite place

Larchmont is a weird, yet charming little area of Los Angeles. The shops and clientele are a bit on the high end. The food choices and shopping choices are all over the place, and even the parking is done not parallel, but facing the sidewalk. One part of Larchmont though is always the same, and that is Village Pizzeria. Located near the notorious Larchmont Bungalow, the pizzeria has some charm and unique presence here. Known for their New York style pizzas, it is a favorite among the Los Angeles community. Their jumbled, unplanned decor gives the restaurant it’s flavor and character. One step inside, you would assume the owner is from the East Coast. The original Village Pizzeria actually started in San Fransisco in 1979. The Larchmong location opened in 1997, and things were left unchanged since. The historical pizza joint is what Village Pizzeria is and has become — genuine. Not a fan of red sauce on my pizza, I opted for the clam and garlic. The pizza was really hot at first — I ev
Raging Taste Buds
Village Pizzeria owners like to claim New York pizza roots spliced with California freshness in the ingredients. Which basically means to me that New York's veggies are dirty and the weather sucks so we moved here because you can bake a pizza from anywhere. Works for me. Now I get to enjoy enjoy enjoy. A fresh beer with some classic New York Pizza in a small parlor that has basically dedicated its walls to sports memorabilia. Yes Please! The best part about Village Pizza is its atmosphere and attitude. There are signs posted that basically say don't rush us because we are not in a hurry. Which means if you're annoying go eat at Z Pizza you prick. Good for them. They know their pizza is so good that they will tell you how and when it will be served. They also have some plasma's to watch the games and walls decorated with plenty of Laker's history. If you are around the area, stop by and grab a slice. You can decorate it however you'd like (all the ingredients are very fresh) and if you'

I've read this place serves good NY style pizza, so I was very excited. They also serves pizza by a slice, so that was perfect for me. This time I got my pizza with thick crust, so next time I'm gonna get with thin crust. The workers were friendly, very n
