REALLY ENJOYED a birthday dinner here! Highly recommend the newly renovated back patio. We were a party of 8 that ordered the mini-mega which said it feeds 4-8, but felt it could have fed 12! There was SOOO much food. My favorites were the baby back ribs and the beef ribs, but loved it all! The fried mac n' cheese bites were INSANE! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We recently hosted a dinner for 26 people at Boneyard Bistro. The food, the staff, and the setting, outside on the patio was amazing. The owner and chef went out of their way to accommodate all of our requests including food allergies and vegetarian options. We served ribs, brisket, chicken and shrimp with sides of baked beans, coleslaw, mac and cheese and sweet potato fries and grilled veggies. One dish was better than the next. The brisket melted in our mouths and the ribs were incredibly meaty. The grilled shrimp, which we had never had before, was an amazing addition. It was my birthday, so the chef, upon special request, made my favorite desert – blueberry pie and it was incredible. Boneyard Bistro is one of our favorite restaurants and is now the favorite of our guests. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND

A new slant on the bistro. Themed with what the title says, this dark and somewhat mysterious watering hole has a good BBQ menu with excellent execution. With a full bar, I think what shines is the bistro. Maybe a bit of an identity crisis, from the burgers to the appetizers to the BBQ, getting a great meal and an accompanying drink will be easy here. Truthfully, my first visit was to sample their BBQ. The spare ribs, pulled pork, and brisket has a good balance of seasoning and smoke. The burger was also nicely constructed and was delicious. With a nice open dining room, this subtle BBQ joint was actually not busy on a Saturday evening. Maybe folks haven't discovered Boneyard yet. Boneyard Bistro is certainly a good watering hole that doubles as a bistro or pub.

Went here on my first date with my wife and 10 years later we went back for our anniversary. The food and drink was still delicious and the service was great. Sam, the chef/manager was super cool and made us feel welcome. We don't live in the area anymore, but I highly recommend Boneyard as one of the best gastropubs in LA.

This place is legit. The staff was great, drinks were unique and tasty (hard to get right these days) and the food was freakin awesome. Brisket was on point, the sausage was soft and tender, pulled pork done without being crazy salty like some of the others I've had recently. BBQ sauce! It didn't really need any, but I had to try that, too. Thumbs up across the board!

If you have a fondness for ribs and anything smoky with goodness, then this place is undoubtedly the place to be. The succulent ribs here are a testament to the mastery of the culinary team, who expertly infuse them with a rich smoky flavor that is simply unparalleled. The tender meat practically falls off the bone, making each bite a truly delightful experience. The accompanying sauces are a symphony of flavors, perfectly complementing the smoky goodness of the ribs. The ambiance of the place is warm and inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that adds to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience. The staff is attentive and friendly, ensuring that your needs are met with utmost care. From the moment you step foot into this establishment, you are greeted with an air of excellence that permeates every aspect of your visit. So, if you have a hankering for ribs and crave the smoky deliciousness that comes with it, do yourself a favor and make your way to this extraordinary place. You won't be disappointed.

For a BBQ spot in california, this was pleasantly surprising. Ended up here because just about everything was closed on July 4th. It ain't no southern BBQ, but it s pretty good. The brisket was a little dry away from the fat, but the fatty side was delicious. The andouille had good flavor. The mac n cheese bites were good, very cripsy, but the inside was cold sadly. Sweet potato fries also not bad, the ranch is heavy on the herbs (in a good way). Good bbq sauces, interesting (very sweet) ketchup. They serve decent quantity of meat. So far, the best I ve had in california.

I know, I know...a 5⭐ review always seems over-enthusiastic to me too. In this case, however, it's true. I've been here only twice, and I now consider myself a regular. Service: The first time I walked in, I was immediately and warmly greeted by the staff. They weren't swamped, but it was buzzing and I chose to sit at the bar. Alexis was wonderful. Quick, attentive, and very sweet. The second time I was there was a week later, yet the hostess welcomed me back immediately. Alexis happened to be behind the bar again, and made me feel right at home. Later in the night, Sam (who I believe is the sous chef) came over and chatted for a while. It became quickly apparent that the staff make an intention to know their guests, which I personally love in a place. Food+Drinks: so far as food, I've had both the Fried Mac and the Grilled Artichoke. The Fried Mac is everything I wanted; crispy outside, gooey inside, and served with hot sauce. Amazing! The Grilled Artichoke smells amazing, and really picks up some lovely smokey flavour from the grill and comes served with (what I believe is) a really lovely aioli. Apart from the one Shiner Bock that I got, I was primarily drinking cocktails while I was there, and I'm here to tell you: Alexis knows her way around a bar. The classic cocktails like an Old Fashioned or a Vesper are exactly what you expect, and the Boneyard specific cocktails are well-balanced and not unnecessarily flashy or contrived. Atmosphere: I would describe the style as "modern goth meets lumber-sexual", a combination I like, but frankly the pictures online do it justice. The atmosphere itself is warm, friendly, and inviting. I never felt like I was being rushed, or that I was an inconvenience. It felt like sitting at a friend's house (who's being an incredibly attentive host) and having some drinks. Overall, it's an amazing place, run by lovely people, that's been around for forever. So stop-in, have a cold one, and enjoy.

I was amazed by the quality of the BBQ Brisket Grilled Cheese I had! It was so tender, flavorful, and cooked to order. It was also a pleasure meeting Sam, the Chef de Cuisine. I’m definitely coming back the next the time I’m in California!

Everytime I'm in LA, I make a visit to this BBQ spot. Excellent service, expansive drink selection for any connoisseur, and savory meats and sides. All the appetizers are delicious and the desserts may give you diabetes..lol But seriously, I always look forward to dining here.

The brisket in the Nachos was amazing! The Mahi-Mahi tacos were good but the toppings over took any fish flavor. Open later than 10pm. Good service. Good atmosphere.

First, the service. Frank the bartender is the man, personable and knowledgeable about everything Boneyard has to offer. Second, the food. Spectacular BBQ and sides. Tried brisket, pulled pork and St. Louis ribs, with all sauces on the side. Chipotle aioli that comes with the onion rings is great. Finally, the booze. Great beer selection and a wall of whiskeys that are pretty reasonably priced. A must visit in the Sherman Oaks area.

Fiancé and I came in the summer at lunch on a Saturday and we’re skeptical because it was empty. However, the food and service were fantastic. I got the Philly steak sandwich and fiancé got the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Both very pleased and Taylor the waitress was fantastic. Five stars.
