Review The French Crepe Company - Los Angeles

Lada Kovalkova
I like rebranding. Looks good. Im not a fan of their main crepes, 2 years ago it was better. Crepes were softer and cheese was better. But new salmon roll is really good, it works amazing with more hard texture of crepe and also comfortable to eat. I want more options of rolls maybe classic ham and cheese or mushroom and cheese. Good luck

I had given a not so good review before by I want to leave a great review because of an isolated situation but I think the problem was solved. So now I am giving the review that I always wanted to give to that place… I love The French Crepes, it’s my to go place every weekend… I leave near by and love the atmosphere of the grove… The French Crepes is the cherry on the top every time I go to The Grove… The food is truly delicious! If you are in the LA area I highly recommend this place, it’s very clean, the staff is great and the food is amazing!! ❤️

Excellent crepes, both sweet and savory. A savory crepe has lots of choices of filling. The French Crepe Company is located in the Farmers Market at 3rd and Fairfax. So it's outdoor dining but protected from the wind. An excellent quality during an upsurge in the pandemic. This place was closed when I first arrived in Los Angeles a little over a month ago, but it's open now. They seem to have changed their business plan a bit. The savory crepes no longer come with a salad. Otherwise the crepes are still delicious. I highly recommend the French Crepe Company. A side note: Google just sent me an email that I have 107 followers. I'm not sure why anyone would want to follow a Local Guide, but thanks for following me, I guess. If you'd be so kind as to mark those of my reviews that you think are helpful as helpful at the bottom of the review, that would be nice. I'm not sure what it would do, if anything, but Google keeps track of the number of people who think my reviews are helpful, and if I see the numbers go up after I post this review, it'll tell me that some of my followers read my reviews to the end.

Thank you so much delicious onion soup and crepe😀

Got the Nutella banana and strawberry crepes and they were good. I found them to be a little overstuffed with the fruit. Nonetheless, it was still good. The portion sizes you can’t beat either. It’s definitely good for two people to split.

The crepe was done well! Ordered one beef and one seafood savoury crepe, although they were taste they were too stewlike for my preference, I was expecting an opened savoury crepe. Chestnut crepe was good!

Always good! Very happy cheery establishment. Great for breakfast or anytime of day. They are always very accommodating with customising my crepe :) Coffee is good as well.

I got a panini with goat cheese, basil, tomatoes, and olive spread. It was so delicious and had a generous amount of cheese. The bread was also crunchy and perfectly toasted. Service was quick and the waffles looked amazing. I’m going to have to try that next time!

Love this place!!! Amazing crapes! Excellent service. These guys are friendly and quick. I love that I give I can of whip cream and a bottle of powder sugar at your seat to put on your crêpe as desired. They are generous with water too. Excellent!

We sat down and ordered two crepes, Espresso, and Team. Food was delicious, pacing of food delivery was great, and the service was great.

Great crepe place. Tons of variety from savory to sweet. Huge portions. The Nutella, peanut butter and carmel one was to die for. Needed less peanut butter and more chocolate.

no I'm not a crepe lover But to be the first time I bought one like that it was delicious the only thing that in the end I realized that you can put foamy cream at your own will and did not know, all this happened at the end....

Stumbled upon the French crêpe company when we were originally going to go to Dupars and the wait was too long. We both got waffles and bacon and it was perfect. Nice atmosphere and pleasant staff make this a must every time I am here. Highly recommend the French crêpe Company.

Good food! Service was excellent. One of the workers followed up and I didn't even have to ask for assistance. Coffee was good too.

The waffles are to die for. The Crepe is weak. The Crepe taste like a tortilla!

Really just want to complain about the young rude guy at the counter with a "hipster-esque" look (hair and beard, can't think of a better term). I was there (Farmers Market location) with my sister around 5:30PM and we checked out the menu. Since they have a lot to offer, I asked the guy politely about their bestseller since it was our first time there and we didn't really know what to order. He answered coldly (I thought I heard him say "Sweet Savory") and looked away. I thought that was a specific name of a crepe but can't find it on the menu so I asked again, "where is it here?" He didn't answer but there was an Asian girl on the counter as well in which she repeated "do you want sweet or savory." All the while, they were pertaining to the category of the crepe. My sister said, "we want sweet" in which i followed, again politely, "what specifically can you recommend." The guy said RUDELY and DISMISSIVELY, "that's why I was asking you if you want sweet or savory. Try La Napoleon." Well, excuse me mister. Can you check your attitude at the door? You are supposed to help your customers navigate the menu. How hard is it to answer, "oh, our bestseller is this for the savory crepe, and this one for the sweet crepe." You saw me confused when you answered me the first time because I didn't hear you that clearly. Instead of helping, you dropped a bitchy remark instead and showed no interest or attention to help us further. I just want the owner of this restaurant or whoever is in charge to reprimand this guy (check whoever is at the counter around 5:30PM today April 3, 2017). My sister and I walked away feeling annoyed and disappointed. All of this just because I asked for a recommendation. Crazy! Mr. Edgar Acosta, if you are still the owner of this restaurant, I just want to say that as a fellow Pinoy, I am disappointed that we were treated this way. I don't know if it was a language barrier that I didn't hear him clearly but I don't think I deserve a rude answer from him. I'm sorry but I am just that upset that this happened. I don't write reviews on Yelp and this experience really made me. Sorry that it has to be your restaurant.

Situated in the lovely Framer's market, their crepes are a must try. Perfected with right sugar we loved feasting on the crepes- walnut and banana variant. It was raining the day we ate which added the the flavor !

We had the best hearty dinner crepe! It was fresh and hot - melted in your mouth. Great bargain and filling while on City Walk. The only downside is not much seating.

I stopped by for late lunch and as always I was undecided on what to order, until Rashee helped me deciding. Choice was just perfect as suggested by him. He was courteous, patience, nice and helpful. He checked on me several times to see if I needed anything. His service was a 5 star. The place is super cute, they have a nice menu with many different sweet abd savory choices. If you are in the area, it is must go. Their crepes are to die for. Didn't tried it but my neighbors ordered a nutella crepe and it was huge and looked delicious. Price is excellent and have good ingredients.

I will definitely go back next time I am in town.

The French Crepe Company is one of the best places in Los Angeles to get both sweet and savory crepes. This location is at the famous LA Farmer's Market on 3rd and Fairfax. They have been serving French cuisine here for over 40 years. I came early in the morning and sat at the bar. It's a great place to sit and watch the chefs make some of their popular crepes. I had to get one of their nutella ones for my first visit here. It wasn't overly sweet for me, but what made it delicious was eating it warm right off the griddle. In addition to the variety of crepes that they offer, The French Crepe Company has panini sandwiches, salads, soups, quiches and waffles.

While my preference is for the sweet varieties, The French Crepe Co. is a full-service restaurant that also makes savory crepes, cold cuts on croissants, entree-sized salads and even coffee brewed in, naturally, a French press. These are tasty options in their own right, but crepes are the perfect coda to a great meal.

They also serve Salads, Soups and Sandwiches, like French Onion Soup. Their menu is not pure French, but that’s not the point. You want Classic French, you’ve got Monsieur Marcel. You can get the full on French experience, with the French expense as well. If you want something pretty damn good, but don’t want to break the bank for it, you come here…and you’ll be happy.
