My mind is completely blown! Ever wonder what roses taste like as an ice cream flavor? How about Lavender? Or Cucumber? These are the most masterful ice cream creations!!! My mouth is exploding with happiness.
The ice cream is delicious, and I love the flavor combinations! It's absolutely worth braving the crowds for this ice cream.
We stopped by Saffron & Rose in Westwood after hiking up Mount Hollywood. It was the perfect post-hike treat! Hands down, the *best* Persian ice cream. Seriously.
The classic was my favourite (saffron flavour) but the pistachio and pomegranate were also great.
some of the best ice cream i’ve had! the texture was so smooth and rich without being too sweet.
highly recommend the saffron & pistachio and jasmine flavors.
faloodeh had an interesting crunch and subtle flavor to it
My husband DJ & I simply love Fred & Saffron & Rose Ice Cream. I hadn't been there in years since we moved to Georgia & he saw me immediately & greeted me with love. Thanks for having the best 👌🏾
This is the THE ice cream place in the Persian quarter neighborhood of LA. Offers a variety of delicious and exotic flavours. Saffron, fig and date would be my favourite recommendations. The quality at this place is unparalleled, and this can be seen in the large crowds you'll see at all times here.
If you’re in the Market for Persian Ice cream (Saffron & Pistachio) this is the ultimate place! Great authentic taste, clean and friendly environment, and very reasonable prices. 👍❤️

Hands down best ice cream in the world, and I consider myself a big gelato fan. I tried gelato all over Italy and though it was good, hands down Persian ice cream beats it. The flavors and texture just stand out more and feels like heaven in your mouth.
This ice cream shop in particular is amazing. They give you samples to try before you choose, and every thing we tried was so good. The employees are polite and encourage you to try all and also give combination suggestions if you are not sure what to get. But you can’t go wrong with any one you choose.
This place has different flavors to choose from compared to American or Asian ice cream shops. We got 4 scoops of Saffron w/pistachios, pink rose, passion fruit, and ube with something else I can't remember now.
Persian ice cream spot with a variety of flavors that have the characteristic sticky pull for the texture. Sorbets are available as well. Came here for a quick treat before going to the Hammer Museum with my sister and we split the saffron and pistachio and rose flavors. Credit cards are accepted. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Metered street parking available in front of the store. Service was friendly and quick.
Had Persian ice cream all across Canada and had to try this place in LA. This place deserves the hype it gets! Actually tastes like saffron, has a great amount of cream and pistachio. Yes, a little pricier than usual, but worth every bite.
Exotic, refreshing and delicious flavors (24) of ice cream with a Persian theme at $8.50 for 4 scoops. There were quite a few icicles which in two flavors which was disappointing. They also don't allow sampling.
The Persian ice cream is also less creamy and don't have egg yolks, making the flavor stand out at the cost of creaminess and smoothness of the ice cream.
I had the jasmine (exceptional and my favorite), pink rose (exceptional and close second) saffron pistachio and cucumber (also really delicious).
There is ample indoor and outdoor seating.
