This was a nice adventure,on the weekend they give U all you can eat pancakes. So I gave it a try, people said the Red Beans ones were really good. I also had a desert that was off the chain for a one time thing :)

Delicious and cosy!

Really nice vibe with great staff! Russell helped us navigate the menu and advised us on happy hour. We had the poutine, Korean wings and shrimp shrimp, all were sooo tasty! We would definitely eat here again.

Me and my family went to the A-Frame after seeing it on a list of restaurants that had been featured on the Food Network. We had also checked the reviews online and saw that they were mostly good so we decided to give it a try. The exterior of the building gives it a cool vibe and suits its name. The atmosphere was trendy in a hip and cool way but not in a luxury or fine dining kind of manner. We didn’t have to wait to be seated which was nice. We were seated outside which was fine considering it was nice out. The hostess was pleasant as well as all of the staff that we encountered, our waiter included. Now onto the food. The food at the A-Frame did not disappoint. We all ordered entrees and each of us enjoyed them immensely. My brother still to this day says that his meal was the best thing he has ever eaten on any vacation we have gone on. Additionally, we got a dessert to share and it was gone in matter of minutes because it was that good! Overall I give the A-Frame 5 stars!

Brunch: the best meal, because everyone can get what they want. Sweet, savory, it’s got it all. So, when someone proposes brunch, I tend to be in. And that’s how we ended up at A-Frame for brunch just a couple of weekends ago. A-Frame, for those not in the know, is part of Roy Choi’s restaurant empire, housed in an old Wienerschnitzel (or so the story goes – I think it’s true) that’s been converted into a bright Hawaiian “diner.” Hearty meals await, especially at brunch, when unlimited pancakes and unlimited beverages call to the hungry and hungover.

Checked out Luau Hour (Happy Hour) here at Chef Roy Choi's A-Frame yesterday and was very happy with the dining experience.

It's a pretty small place with dining similar to Benihana's where you share a table with another group depending on whether or not your party is occupying the entire table (no grills involved). Me and a friend arrived and was greeted by the staff before being seated right away. Reservations are recommended in my opinion but we lucked up this round.

Though there is an entire menu of appetizers, plates and desserts to explore...I ordered strictly from the Luau Hour menu which had some awesome choices. I ordered the furikake kettle corn that was unique with its mix of flavors that blended well. With each handful, I sometimes got a different flavor of seaweed, saltiness and sweet (some stronger than the other) which was great for tasting each individual seasoning on the kettle corn.

Next up were the O.G ribs. Tender, meaty and super flavorful is the best way to describe this dish. The hoisin glaze played a huge role on these ribs. The glaze was so good that I kept dipping into it even after the ribs were finished with the bones after.

I always tend to save my last paragraph for the best dish of the visit so this goes to the Loco Moco...pure awesomeness. Traditionally it had the look of the loco moco but differed from others I've had. One was the meat. Unlike the traditional burger patty, this was done with hambagu steak which gave a softer texture similar to Salisbury steak and much more flavorful. Next was the curry that was used in place of the gravy. This curry was delicious!!! My friend who's a very picky eater even applauded this curry as we ate. I'd add this on any rice dish if I could get my hands on this curry at any moments notice lol.

Great food and drinks (let's not forget the drinks!) that has me planning another visit. The cracklin beer can chicken looks amazing so aiming for that next visit.

I LAVA'D IT!

I could not resist that reference being Hawaiian food and all.

This restaurant has been on the top of my list to try out. I have never tried Hawaiian cuisine before and was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I forgot to call for a reservation, and the night we tried to visit, A-frame was a full house. Since our Airbnb home was just 5 minutes away, we decided to have our food for to-go and enjoy the food at our place instead of waiting for an hour to get a table. We ordered the Loco Moco and Spam musubi. After taking one delicious bite of their Loco Moco, I knew what all the hype was about. The combination of gravy, rice, burger and egg was a comforting experience. I'm pretty sure I'm going to add this to my long list of perfect comfort foods to perk me up in times of sadness. The spam musubi was phenomenal, I mean anything with spam is quite awesome, but this one takes it away. Delicious bites of rice and spam heaven. I think I want to be Hawaiian now. Maybe if I eat this everyday for the rest of my life, they'd make me an honorary Hawaiian? It's worth a try and A-frame is my golden ticket. Kidding aside, A-frame is definitely worth the visit for Hawaiian food at its best.

We were recommended to try “A Frame” which was not far from where we stayed. Looking at the menu we were enticed by the Korean x Hawaiian flavours and decided to give it a go. We made a reservation in advance – good thing we did because it was pretty busy. I wish they had an indication on the menu on how spicy dishes are, because these 2 dishes were spicy! .. that or our spice tolerance really sucks these days. Actually the fried rice was bearable and were able to taste the flavours despite the chilli-ness. The salad however, we expected it to be refreshing with a bit of tang but felt the chilli took over the whole palette for us

I was a fan of Roy Choi. After eating here, I am MASSIVE fan of Roy Choi. Across all the meals I've eaten around the world, this is a top 5 of all time. The food here is spectacular, fresh, flavoursome, unique and delicious. Excellent menu of both food and drinks. We tried the addictive Fukikake kettle corn, the flavour-bomb Eight-legged duck, perfectly balanced Poke samplers of Ahi tuna and shrimp, Pork belly lechon ssam, double kimcheeseburger, beer can chicken and outstanding pound cake churros with malted chocolate milk and icecream. To top off the night we got to meet the godfather of food trucks himself, Roy Choi, who was amazingly welcoming and down to earth. An absolute must-eat if you are in LA

This place is so goood! Good quality food. Breakfast sandwich was delicious. The buttermilk pancakes were awesome. Love the pineapple, orange, guava jelly on them. Everything is made in house. Our waitress was the best. She was very nice and friendly. Most of all down to earth. The restaurant has outside seating with some communal tables which i love. I'll definitely come back!

Impressed by the unlimited mimosa and pancakes. Not very comfy with having to share seats with strangers but this is how they try to fit people in. Not much parking so better come at a not so busy hour. Our server was super attentive and kept us busy eating and drinking. The musubi in deep fried pork is recommended. Their house chicken is nicely fried outside but dry on the inside. The one that I ate anyway.

Have driven by this place a hundred times and finally stopped in. It feels like a big makeover happened here in what looks a bit like a ski chalet but with a Hawaiian vibe complete with wooden surf boards lining the walls. There's a nice selection of beers on tap and a full bar. We opted for the poke sampler that came with two ample mounds of albacore and ahi poke. Both were delicious. For main courses we had the beer can chicken which had a very nice crispy skin with two sauce options (the red hotter sauce was my favorite) and the white fish entre served in a nice broth sauce with rice. The fish was my favorite but the chicken also stood out. The only shortfall was that the entree portions we're a little light. The pound cake dessert was excellent with some nice chocolate dipping sauce. The all you can eat pancake brunch looks good here so we'll be back. Very nice atmosphere here with outdoor seating.

food felt like hawaiian-asian-latin fusion for me. almost everthing on the menu is spicy, and i love spicy food, so this place is good for me. if you don't like spice much, be sure to let your server know when you order. the place is small; the ambiance is great; can get really really loud, especially when packed

This place is super cool. Very small though. They have unlimited pancakes, though I hope they include more flavors in the future. The food is really good. Nice place to come and catch brunch with friends. Unlimited mimosas if you add it to your meal.

This is a really neat Place. Sundays only you can get all you can eat chicken, comes with 3 different types of chicken the beer can chicken was my favorite the other two not so much. $23 a person comes with bottomless fries, salad, Hawaiian rolls, dipping sauce, chicken and corn on the cob. Nice and fresh, family style seating, and our waitress was awesome.

I really like this place. Communal tables makes it very Aloha. Music can be loud so if you are looking for quiet eat outside. Flavors are always on point. Come & check out Roy Choys flavors, he & his team do a great job of giving you a whole experience from the decor, music and friendly staff.

Went here at around 630pm on a Friday night and it was pretty empty. They had a luau menu which is basically a happy hour menu which was pretty cool. We ordered the margarita (super strong) a beer, the musubi plate (super bomb) it came with 3 musubis, the poutine ( super cheesy) and the Mac salad which was huge... But I don't think I would order that one again. Very casual, I love the interior of the restaurant, it's all wood paneling which is cool. I definitely want to try this place for brunch!
