this food truck, imo, lived up to the hype. had the 3 taco + drink combo which came out to a little bit over $11. had chicken, spicy pork, and short rib tacos. of the three, I think the latter two are best. food came out super fast and very fresh. I suspect it's hard to go wrong with the rest of the menu as well. only downside is there is very little parking, only some street parking around so might have to walk a little. There is also no seating.

Note that this location is not a brick and mortar location - it is a food truck that’s parked here. That being said, it’s a super tasty and cheap option to have a quick meal. My friend and I came here prior to drinks at the Blind Barber, and ate our food in the car. If you do this, you may want to eat with the windows down since the smell is pretty strong. I got the loaded fries while my friend got the combo of tacos and a drink (no alcohol available. They have waters and sodas). The portions were generous and there was plenty of meat. The sauce was sufficiently spicy and the food came out quickly. Cash and credit cards accepted.

Food is great as always, but not many options to eat near by. We ended up just eating outside the car because we wanted the food fresh. Always recommend the short rib tacos here!

Had Roy Choi’s tacos at Best Friend in Vegas so had to try one of his food trucks in LA!
Went on 2 separate occasions and got the 3 taco combo, short ribs taco and the kogi hotdog. All super delicious!!! The only thing is it’s pretty messy to eat. But I guess good eats are usually messy, right? :)

LA street food at its finest! This food truck packs a punch with delicious food at a bargain price. The short rib taco for $3.25 is one of the best tacos you'll ever eat. The tofu taco was also scrumptious. The fries with a kick are addictive. I also loved the $2 grape and coconut canned drink that reminded me of aloe water.

This place doesn’t serve food - they serve a religious experience. Seriously, the food here is beyond delicious, and super affordable for a food truck. I got the #2 combo for only $12! I got a kimchi quesadilla, short rib taco, and one of their little Korean drinks. I would have easily paid twice as much for such delicious food. Totally worth the trip, regardless of where you are coming from. I would have had photos, but I ate too quickly.

Large portions for the price! The short ribs were best followed by the crunchy cheesy blue moon mulita, then spicy pork tacos, but skip the squid tacos. Wish the chicken wings were more crispy but maybe that's because we didn't eat them immediately but after 10 minutes. While they could cut back on the sugar, overall the foods were all prepared well

Great tacos! I'm a bit of a wimp so got the sauces on the side to avoid any unexpected spiciness. Got the 3 tacos + drink, and they were all delicious. Glad we got to try it!

The short rib tacos were good but not what I am looking for in a taco. The blackjack quesadilla and the mulita were much better in my opinion. Definitely coming back.

Food truck location. Short rib and spicy pork tacos are recommended. Chicken taco: ok. Tofu taco: bland. All tacos: overflowing and you’ll need a fork to eat the “remains”! Double meat: unnecessary. Korean spiced fries: surprisingly super crispy (double fried?) and is a great choice. Random street parking is hit or miss.

Overall the taste of the short rib tacos was unbelievable…however some pieces of the meat were chewy and inedible. Overall with higher quality meat this would be a 5 star experience, but as it is now it’s only a 4. The prices were low and overall a really good value.

I love their food truck, so when I found out they had a brick and motor, I had to come. Kogi made fusion food popular in street culture. In a city that is populated by Mexicans and Koreans, this mixture is perfect. Their short rib tacos and burritos are amazing. They are well cooked with a bit of grease only. It's a bit sweet and not too salty. I will definitely come here again.

AMAZING. Definitely lived up to the hype! My hubby has been following Roy Choi for quite awhileeeee so when we were in the LA area, we had to stop. All tacos and alllllll the vegan hot dog were AMAZING! Just a note - this is the food truck location, not a sit down restaurant location, so keep that in mind! Definitely recommend 💯

Hot damn this place was fantastic! If I lived any closer I would be even fatter then I am. The fries were incredible! The short rib burrito was phenomenal. My daughter, who won't touch lettuce to save her life sucked down 4 loaded chicken tacos with kimchi because "the kimchi was so amazing I didn't notice the lettuce". I don't think I can give a better recommendation than that.

I tried Kogi’s “Korean BBQ Fries” at Coachella, and felt it deserved a review.
I waited in a HUGE line to get these fries. Thankfully, the line moved very fast as all the meals were prepared quickly and in advance.
Unfortunately, that did have an impact on the quality. That said, these fries really hit the spot after a long day. The short rib was delicious, the kimchi and cheese were a surprisingly great combination, and the fries had a nice spice to them.
I can’t wait to try the Kogi Taqueria, and I’ll make sure to update my review when I do. I have a feeling I will fall in love with this place.

So, yes, I'm one of those tourists that's watched Chef's Show so HAD to check out Chef Roy Choi's food truck and it definitely did not disappoint! YUM!

Kogi Dog - WOW. Never had this flavor combination but it was impressive.
