I dined here for the first time and I really enjoyed it. Beautiful drive into the restaurant coming from PCH. There are quite a few parking spots available. The restaurant has a a few steps too for those with kids or elderly but it's totally worth it. The lights are exquisite and the ambiance is an absolute 10/10. You're in the middle of nature with beautiful lights and the food is pretty good too. My wife ordered the sea bass, my daughter's shared pasta with chicken and I had the braised short rib. We shared the risotto as an appetizer and my 5 year old and 20 month old loved it. The food is pretty good with a lot of complex flavors. This place is excellent for date night.

My wife and I came here to celebrate our honeymoon after it was recommended by three friends. Honestly, this venue is magical and the quality of the food is worth the price. However, unfortunately, on the night we went, the waiting staff was less than impressive. They lacked a friendliness, spirit, and professionalism that tarnished the otherwise beautiful venue. I saw this lack of effort to care for the customer at five other tables with 4 different waiters and waitresses.

food is delicious but the atmosphere is the real reason to eat here. it’s truly beautiful and very scenic. service was wonderful. wine list was very extensive and interesting! i’d go back in a heartbeat. good vegan and gluten free options also.

Came here for my 2nd anniversary with my wife. We arrived 8 min early at an off peak time and day, when we checked in I was told by the host that we were very early and that they couldn't seat us yet lol... Told us to go to the book store in the meantime. Finally after 8 min of pointless waiting we walked to our table. Good view of the stream that runs around the perimeter. We had some deer sightings so that set the mood of the place.. it's just in the middle of nowhere, which is nice. I ordered some beer and I wanted a diet coke but this place doesn't offer that kind of drink.. it's all off brand names with less chemicals or something weird. Ordered the beef Tartare which was a bit over seasoned and salty but overall was good 4/5. My wife got the rigatoni with beef, she loved that the pasta was made fresh in house, very well balanced 4/5. I ordered the braised short rib. This thing was incredible. The polenta was out of this world. The beef was so tender and tasty. The sweetness of the fig and onion topping came through to the short rib and it was exceptional 5/5. I would come here again and would definitely try to come for lunch to see how that is. Overall we left full and happy so it was a great experience overall.

I took my friend, who had never been here for her 50th Birthday. She Loved it! I made an online reservation for 11am and we were the first patrons of the day. Alyssa greeted us with a big smile and said we could pick wherever we wanted to sit. Needless to say we changed our table three times ( before anyone else had gotten there) because we wanted to experience different views of the natural babbling creek, fountains and foliage. There is so much Beauty in this outdoor dining Enchanted Oasis. You can sit creekside or tucked away in romantic cubby hole. My friend ordered the grilled cheese sandwich which came with a small salad and I ordered the broccolini omelette which also came with a small salad and fingerling potatoes. Both of our meals were fantastic and my friend said it's the best grilled cheese sandwich she has ever had! We also ordered the garlic french fries that came with an aioli dipping sauce and both were unbelievable delicious!!! Alyssa was a very welcoming, patient and attentive server. I let her know it was my friend's birthday and she brought out a surprise piece of birthday Cheesecake that had cinnamon and butterscotch drizzled on it. It was phenomenal! After our meal we went upstairs to the metaphysical bookstore which had an array of crystals, singing bowls, books, incense and other intriguing collectibles. Priscilla, the young lady behind the counter was kind enough to help me with one of the singing bowls; she of course made far more beautiful music than I and she assured me it was "just practice" that I needed. The atmosphere at the Inn of the Seventh Ray is one of zen, very calming and relaxing. Even the bathrooms are hippie dippy adorable. We also enjoyed the story on the back of the menu of how the Inn came into fruition. I have been coming to this place for over 30 years and have loved it every time. As a first timer, my friend said it was one of her best experiences she's ever had!!

My friend and I went there for a brunch to also check out the place as a potential venue for my friend’s wedding. We ordered Belgian waffle and brown rice breakfast bowl. Food for us is 3.5 stars, nothing surprising. The flavor and texture of the fruit (I think it was mango) on the waffle didn’t really go that well with the waffle and syrup. Breakfast bowl was fulfilling. Service was amazing and attentive though. We had never tried Jun before and the staff offered a full cup for us to try! Their jun was great and would recommend trying. The restaurant is, like mentioned other reviews, beautiful. It’s surrounded by nature and a great place for any special occasion where family and friends can gather and enjoy great time together.

A wonderful lovely feel. Food is fantastic and the atmosphere at night is super romantic. I got the octopus as my main and it was super tender. And the gift shop is super cute!

inn of the seventh ray is probably one of the best romantic restaurants in California. there's nothing like the sound of running water along the creek. The restaurant is absolutely stunning. we celebrate my girlfriend's birthday here and she absolutely loved i. if you want to make her feel special, bring her here. the food is phenomenal, and the bread pudding is just out of this world. there's also a gift shop there if you're into Crystal's and things like that. i definitely recommend coming here for a special occasion. i paid like 165 for everything, not including 45 dollars tip

We had a fantastic birthday dinner, and Saul, our server, was exceptionally kind and went the extra mile, despite it being close to closing time. This place is a hidden gem, and I'm eagerly looking forward to returning to its warm and inviting ambiance.

Venue was gorgeous. Went there for valentines day and had the five course meal. Food tasted fantastic, though the spacing of the course was a little fast. We were still eating the sushi by the time the main course came out. Pro tip: if you're a light weight, the wine pairing foe the five course meal is too much. I usually finish two beers, or two cocktails and I'm buzzed. For me, I was drunk three wine glasses in. So I wasn't able to finish the wine foe every pairing. Suggestion: pay for 1 wine pairing with the five course meal, and split that among the two people. That way you finish the wine, don't waste it and still get the experience. Service was very attentive, they even gave us a round of wine on the house because one of the courses was slightly delayed. Pro tip: restaurant is located in the mountains. Dress warm. Bring jackets and sweaters!
