There are a ton of KBBQ places in the area but I find myself coming back to quarters time after time. They have some of the more superior bonchon side dishes that will always be ready at your table when you sit, the meat is consistent quality and they have a quite the variety. It is called quarters because you can order most of the meats by the 1/4 lb allowing you to tray a variety of dishes. Don’t worry about cooking your own meats here, your waiter will do all the cooking and ask you you preferred cooking temperatures. Full bar and decent soju selection!
Saturday night - super long wait. We got boba tea next door while waiting. Parking is $20 and always full. We were lucky to find free street parking 2 blocks away after driving around.
The food was pretty good. We ordered combo #2 and had plenty of food for 3. I especially liked the boneless short ribs, so juicy. Service was good too, they cooked the meat for us.
The meat was superb mouthwatering. We really didn’t mind with the queuing whilst in return they gave a very good service by helping us grilling the meat. The banchan was nice.
My favorite kbbq spot in town. High quality food with competitive prices. Always a line but worth the wait.
Staff here are all professional and efficient. However, they are not as friendly and attentive. Which is understandable because they are extremely busy. They’ll help with fulfilling the order and cook the meat. Any requests other than these may not be accommodated.
Now serving wagyu meat, one more reason to go!
I've heard a lot of people tell me the wait times are crazy long but when we came at around 6pm, we only had to wait 20 minutes before being seated. They cook the food for you so you don't have to worry about overcooking/undercooking as well, which is great.
When we were seated, there were a bunch of side plates already at our table. The sides portion is pretty big, bigger than what you typically see at Korean restaurants. For a second, I thought we sat at the wrong table.
The meats, drinks, and sides are tasty and I have no complaints. Great service as well. When we left at around 8, there were lots of people outside waiting though so I'm assuming we just beat the rush. If you don't want to wait for a long time, definitely try and come before 6:30pm.
Finally got to try Quarters during my second visit to LA since the wait last time was over 1.5 hours. Recommend coming a bit before dinner prime time to avoid long waits. They have a parking lot, which is shared between the other surrounding stores nearby. We waited about 15 mins to get seated, but they also have a full bar so you can grab a drink while you wait. We ordered the beef combo, pork belly and seafood pancake. The seafood pancake was crispy, but I felt like there were too many scallions. The pork belly and beef combo (brisket, bulgogi and rib eye) was high quality, delicious and well marinated. The servers were attentive with grilling the meats as they each attended 2-3 tables. Their unlimited banchan options were unique. The vibe and atmosphere was really nice and kind of loud. Definitely a good spot for a night out!
Friday night’s wait-line is insane, try to come before 6pm.
They don’t have reservations, limited parking. Self-Valet is available $10.
Ordered the beef combo and pork jowl on the side. They have the best pork jowl! Soybean paste soup was quite delicious too.
The food and atmosphere were truly amazing. The wait time was only about 20 minutes, might have been the fact that I was there on a Thursday night.
Overall, I highly recommend this place… Oh, I think the prices were also pretty decent.
I put 4 stars because I am in the USA. The food is great, the service is awesome but there is one thing, as a french person, that I don’t like, is people cooking my meat while I’m at a BBQ. I know I’m the US so I’ll let it slide and that’s why I put 4 stars and not 2. The staff is efficient and the food great but man I was expecting to spend more than 20 minutes at the restaurant and might have ordered two bottles of wine instead of one.
While I wasn't planning on doing this review initially, I was so happy with my experience here that I have no other choice. What stood out to me was the notably incredible service I not only received from our amazing server Heejae, but all the in-house staff. Heejae was so welcoming and patient with those less experienced with KBBQ at the table, and attentive despite the restaurant being packed. I was helped before I could even think about what I wanted. This was some of the best service I've had in a long time. The food was great, in both flavour, and buttery texture you can only get from a certain caliber of meat quality. While I wouldn't call Quarters affordable, the food is well priced and in my opinion, worth it. I would recommend booking in advance, since more often than not you will be waiting upwards of an hour on a table walking in. Unfortunately I find the music playing inside borderline deafening, but otherwise I find Quarters hard to fault. With such remarkable service, combined with great quality food, I am happy to leave Quarters with 5 years, and will definitely be visiting again as soon as I get the chance.
