Wow. Everything from beginning to end.. Super attentive staff. Wished the place was a little more spacious. But overall enjoyed the wonderful 8 courses! Bring your appetite n your will to eat. It isn't cheap.

Super tiny Japanese sushi restaurant — there is a $9 valet or you can try to find your luck with street parking. The food is excellent at Asanebo with the fish being very fresh. A tad above average in pricing for similar quality items however a minor quibble is the staff constantly badgering you to order. We had barely sat down before two different servers approached us to order. But other than that the service is quite good. Will come back to try their omakase menu.

This is probably the best sushi we’ve ever had. You can taste the fancy. We had fish and flavors we had never tasted before. Watching the sushi chefs work was like seeing a work of art in process. We got some of the specials and a la carte sushi, but honestly, next time we’ll do the full tasting menu. It’s pricey, but worth every penny. (i only took a couple of pics, not everything I ate)

Had the sushi omakase and it was excellent. All the fish was very fresh with some very tasty and unique preparations. Staff was very personable and accommodating. Definitely can't go wrong here if you're looking for quality sushi.

I had Omakase B course last weekend. My favorite dish was Yellowtail sashimi because texture quality was good with Truffle. Their dish plating was beautiful as painting. 😍

There wasn't a dish that I did not enjoy. From the Halibut Truffle and Sea Bass Peach to the Japanese Wagyu , each one was enjoyable. And the service was quite friendly! This is definitely now one of my go-to places in the neighborhood.

The service was amazing. Very friendly and quick. It isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. The Omkase B meal is very well it together. Has great balance of types of dishes. There was good variety, and included a super yummy wagu beef dish. A great experience for the pallet.

Made reservations for my birthday with outdoor seating. All 4 people in my group got the Omakase "B" and some sake, and it was very delicious. The servers adhered to our dietary restrictions (one person couldn't have dairy, and another couldn't have beef), and explained each dish to us as they were served. The meal was very filling and we left satisfied. My friend tells me they even have a bidet in the bathroom. Definitely deserving of their Michelin Star. Valet parking seems like the only feasible option unless you can miraculously find street parking on a Sunday night.

Heard a lot of great stuff about this place but never thought much of it looking at it from outside. Then we went in to try the food, and it was just amazing. Prob the best Japanese I have ever had. Much better than Nobu. Can be a bit pricey but definitely worth every dollar.
Their chef Kofi was just amazing. Serving very delicate food and being very friendly to us. Would recommend to seat at the counter.

If you can afford it, this place is awesome! High quality ingredients, authentic taste, and the wait staff are really excellent and attentive. This was the tuna and peach dish, a really interesting and delicious flavor combo ♥️

The meal was delicious and service was great with the exception of the frequent and unnecessary reminders of the time limit for tables. WE KNOW. The sea bass peach was out of this world. The scallop with lemon was very good but the lemon was a bit overwhelming.

This restaurant has been here for many years. It's still very good! They keep their standards consistent. If you want a small, intimate sushi dining experience in the heart of Studio City, this is the place. Definitely one of my faves!
