Everything was delicious!! The chicharron dish melts in your mouth, this place definitely makes it in my top 5 favorite Mexican restaurants, love the modern twist on the Mexican traditional cuisine.

High quality place for Mexican INSPIRED dishes. Nice balanced cocktails. A little off on the night I was here - too much lime and salt on the cabbage, too much sugar in the desserts, meatballs more akin to smokey meatloaf. Although, I would try it again and would recommend it. But this place has a lot of responsibility considering it’s the only high end place in LA for high end Mexican.

OHHHH MMMM GGGGG! I am a HUGE foodie and its not often I go to a new restaurant where absolutely EVERYTHING you taste is jaw dropping AMAZINGGGG!!! My gf brought me here for my bday and we tried the queso fundido, the papas, the corn and the mole chicken. Pricy but soooo worth it. We both were amazed with the dishes they brought out. I ordered the flan for dessert Hands Down the best flan I've ever had!!!! She told the waiter it was my birthday and they brought a little serving of tres leches cake with a candle, so cute! Highly highly recommend!!!!

Finally able to check this of the list : ). The restaurant has super cute decorate. The ambiance is casual and loud. Dimly lit. We started our meal with one of the socials of the night/ of menu item. Duck chorizo empanadas with mushroom and potatoes which came with a avocado sauce ($15). The empanadas were ok. I didn't get much chorizo flavor. The meat had a spice to it which so did the avocado sauce so it was jusy spice on top of spice. There was no cooling factor. I would pass on this dish next time around. The dish was right at my boarder line of being overly spicy and inedible. Next was the oxtail quesadilla. This was delicious. The oxtail was perfectly cooked in a delicious sauce and just the right amount of cheese. The tortilla itself was amazing topped with drops of crema and avocado mousse. A wonderful maize flavor and thickness to it. Next up was the tetela. A mini quesadilla mounted by mushrooms in what seem to be cooked with a Chile Verde sauce with shavings of a type of Mexican cheese. Tios dish was good... but again I would pass on next time around. Of course the tortilla on the bottom was me favorite. The start of the meal.... The chicharron! A massive piece of pork belly on top of a delicious garlic mojo and radish greens dressing the meat. The belly was so tender! Moist perfectly flavored and a mildly crispy skin. This is a must try! To end the meal we got the Cafe de Olla. This was great. The canela ice cream was so soft and perfect compliment to the layers of cream, Mexican chocolate, hazelnut spread and wafer. In this dessert you can definitely taste the Latin flavors. A total recommendation. The service was friendly but not very attentive. We had to wait a bit before or dessert order was taken. Oh! The chef was in house! So that was a nice surprise. I would come back. I'm interested in trying more.

Its pricey but worth it! The menu combines the ingredients of traditional Mexican food from the regions of Oaxaca and Michoacan with modern day pub favorites like quesadillas and fondue. This fusion style cuisine is flavorful and balanced in every dish. The drinks are also well crafted and the servers are very knowledgeable! Definitely one of the best places in downtown Los Angeles

We went to Broken Spanish for my 2 years wedding anniversary with my husband and we were not disappointed! We were welcomed with some champagne and a "happy anniversary" mention that was much appreciated. Food was delicious, drinks as well, and service was top notch!!! Bravo!! I will definitively come back and i highly recommend this amazing restaurant!

If six 🌟 exist then yeah they should get six. FLAVORS!!! you are in for a treat if you come. Super creative balance of extreme flavors that hit the right portion amount. It changes your stereotype of what you eat on the streets. Be adventurous when looking through their menu, if you think it sounds weird or out of your comfort zone then order it. I felt like I ate a pie inside out with a non sequitur textures that would represent filling and crust. The soup... Still dumd-founded how they balance sour and savory broth. 🌮 yeah that too was an experience with high impact flavors too.

Thanks for the best meal I've had since the March shutdown. Even better than having been there the last time. I wish staff and team more success in these difficult times!

Delicious cocktail and meal. Went alone for dinner during a conference and sat at the bar. The bar-tenders were quick and attentive. Cuisine was interesting and well-executed.
