Quite possibly the best Ramen I've ever had!
Stopped in on a whim with some friends.
We put our names on the list to be seated and waited about 15 minutes for a table.
Once we sat down, the service was fast, friendly, and attentive.
The food came out hot and it was delicious!
I highly recommend 👌

Wonderful dining experience we had at this restaurant. We were there on a Thursday before 5pm so we didn’t have to wait. Our waiter was really helpful and efficient with everything. The broth of ramen was delicious and the noodles had the perfect texture. I enjoyed it a lot.
I ordered their Daikoku Ramen with small Pork Cutlet Bowl. It was equally tasty. So were all the other plates.
Personally I think their price is very reasonable. Their friendly staff certainly was a big part of the wonderful experience over there.
good times
Nice little restaurant service was very good atmosphere was fun felt like home food was outstanding the Ramen came quick I liked the silver iced mug.

Amazing ramen. We got the vegetarian broth which tasted just like a liquefied salad would taste like (if you like veggies this is really good). Then we also got the traditional pork bowl, it was just a savory umami mixed with some simple noodles. We got the combinations for both of these. The salad is just shredded cabbage but the dressing is a sesame miso flavor, and made the cabbage great. The rice and pork cutlets were good and helped make this a completely filling meal. The only down side was the combos are expensive

Delicious ramen that was well worth the wait. We were a party of 5, and got there around 2:00. Three or four groups in front of us, but we waited maybe 10 minutes to get a table. Inside is small but goes pretty far back, the kitchen served food very quickly and staff was friendly. Excellent atmosphere.

Honestly a bit disappointed in the food here. Was expecting at least a great meal based on the reviews and attention but the ramen (ordered tonkatsu and tsukumen) was pretty average, although the takoyaki was pretty great. Service was average, the host sounded bored as you entered but otherwise pretty typical. Come here if you want a normal bowl of ramen but probably not worth lining up.

My Ramen tasting journey continues. I've heard many good things about this place, I just have never had the change to go because it's a really small place and the wait time is usually an hour+ depending on how big your party is, but I'm so glad we stuck around this time because this is one of the best if not THE best Ramen I've ever had. I'd 100% recommend.

I came to Daikokuya with my parents and great aunt and had a wonderful lunch. Although there were 4-5 parties ahead of us, we only waited about 10 minutes to be seated. The staff were quick and attentive even though it was the middle of the lunch rush.
My favorite items we ordered were the tuna sashimi, gyoza, and tempura. The tuna sashimi was melt-in-your-mouth delicate, the gyoza was fried but not overcooked and had a great beef flavor, and the tempura was perfectly breaded and cooked just enough to maintain a bit of crunch.
I also enjoyed the spicy miso ramen, although it wasn’t my favorite item overall. The broth was rich and the noodles were tasty, but it just didn’t wow me—I’d give it 7.7/10. I did, however, really enjoy the soft boiled egg. It was cooked pretty much exactly right.
Overall I had a great time at Daikokuya and would certainly recommend it to anyone craving Japanese food in downtown Los Angeles. Thanks, Daikokuya!

The waitlist was pretty long that day and we had to wait for 30 mins to get inside. The spicy miso ramen was flavorful and I loved it. The takoyaki was also one of the best one I've ever tried. Really worth it 😊

We got here right when they opened in a holiday morning. The service was quick and the ramen was delicious. I'm actually surprised people will line up for hours for the food, though. It's tasty, but I'm sure there are so many options in Little Tokyo with shorter waits.

Delicious food. Feels like u step into a little shop in Japan. Found a public parking structure nearby and just walked. No parking validation. Restrooms only for customers.

Aside of my aunt’s homemade cooking this was the best meal in LA. The bowls were large, so we couldn’t finish but they were so good!!! We got the pork and eel. Soup and salad was great and the pickles too! Yummy raspberry and green ice teas as well, great price for the amount of food. Come hungry!

Wow! Their basic ramen with rich soup is amazing! There was a ramen place (not the famous chain store) in NY with such rich soup(meat crumbs floating in the soup) but is closed years ago.
I've been trying to find this kind of soup wherever I go but most of the ramen store only make very plain soup even they say it's "rich". However, the rich soup here is real, I'm so glad that I found another ramen place to enjoy.
Oh, did I just talk about their soup all the time? There topping is also great, the chashu is so tasety. I added a butter topping, it makes the soup less salty but more sweet, and I think the soup is rich enough without the butter.

The restaurant is bustling, and though there was a bit of a wait, the ramen was still delicious.

I have never been to Japan, but everything about Daikokuya made me feel like I was in Japan. In the heart of Japantown, the atmosphere is very Japanese, from the seating to the Japanese music in the background to the delicious smell of the ramen. The ramen is impeccable! One of the best ramen I ever had. Broth super tasty, noodles were nice and soft, the chashu on point! I always get a chicken karaage with my ramen and they were delicious and juicy. If you have not tried this place, it. Is. A. Must!

Daikokuya Ramen in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, is an absolute gem that deserves every bit of its 5-star rating. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by the warm and cozy ambiance that sets the stage for an unforgettable culinary journey.
The Carbonara Ramen at Daikokuya is nothing short of spectacular. The blend of creamy, velvety egg yolk, perfectly cooked noodles, and savory chashu pork creates a symphony of flavors that dance on your taste buds. It's a unique twist on traditional ramen that's both indulgent and comforting.
The service is exceptional, with staff who are knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. They're more than happy to guide you through the menu and make personalized recommendations.
Additionally, the pricing is reasonable, considering the quality and portion size of the dishes. Daikokuya offers excellent value for the dining experience it provides.
Whether you're a ramen enthusiast or a first-timer, Daikokuya Ramen is a must-visit destination. The Carbonara Ramen is a culinary masterpiece, and the overall experience is one that leaves you planning your return visit before you've even finished your meal.

Got my ramen late so it's not piping hot. Maybe the staff slacked, IDK. They have a handful of servers and it's not busy, so I'm not sure why mine took so long.
The black garlic sauce kinda masked the taste of the broth so I can't tell if the broth is good or not. Overall, it's OK. The kitchen staff aren't Japanese so I'm already suspicious of how the taste is going to turn out.
In the end, I think I'm going to give it a second chance to be extremely fair.

This place is just over rated but infact this is a Terrible place!! Disrespectful server! I will not recommend this place to anyone!! The server run over us and stop us; and make a scene as if we didn't pay for our food.. she's forcing us to give her 20% tip!! Not reasonable for their service.. didnt refill our drinks. Food was bland. And waiting line is 1hr plus the food comes late.. We'll never come back to this place ever..

I'm a big fan of Shin Sen Gumi Ramen but now have to pledge my allegiance here. The Ramen was nothing short of wonderful. We ordered the combo with the salad and the fried rice. OMG the fried rice was the best I think I have ever had. The place is small and the line outside can be long. Well worth the wait.
This is definitely my new Ramen shop

Amazing food! Felt like the meat just melted in my mouth that was in my ramen. The meat was VERY tender. The pork cutlet was also amazing. The wait time was long but well worth the wait. The moment we sat down, they took our order and gave us water. A few minutes later the food arrived nice and hot! The inside is also very cute and reminded me of the ramen shops back in Japan. The quality of the food also reminded me of the food in Japan too. This is the best of the best!

The ramen was great... make sure to add the beef fat on the broth for more satisfying flavor. The fried rice was a little weird, the flavor was good but i think the type of rice isn't the right one for fried rice. It's very sticky. Great value for money :D

Really recommend this place. It was worth the almost 1 hour wait in late Sunday night. I will definitely come back next time I’m in town.

We love going back to this place. The best Ramen place so far for my family. Our server is really nice and very courteous.

I really enjoy eating here. The daikoku was very good, I really enjoy the broth and the pork. I had it with the add kotteri flavor and it bumped up the flavor by a ton. The only thing that I was a little disappointed in was the noodles, they tasted like standard ramen noodles nothing special about them. Overall really good.

One of the best ramen place & the best fried rice in the world😋😋😋👌
Nino Begay
I never was interested food like this because I really didn't thing noodles was very filling or very good. Was I wrong. The food was great !!
Not only was it good but it was very filling. I didn't finish it and if you know me that is saying something. :-0
Service was great. The only negative thing would be how small the place is and having to wait outside on the street to be seated and on a warm day like it was, it was very uncomfortable.
I will be back though for sure.
Oh and the prices were decent too for what you got.

If you love noodle, this is a place must visit. Be expect a long wait that can be up to 2 hours, but totally worth it. Give it a try, best invite me to go with you too :) hehehe

This place is beyond delicious!! I’ve tried other places but keep coming back to this one. If u don’t mind a wait this is the place to get really delicious ramen 🍜

I do not understand why people like to wait more than 1 hour just to get an average taste ramen with high price. The interior has bad ventilation. My shirt smell their frying. I will not recommend this place to anyone.
Sam Martinez
Food was great, service was good, very popular place for literally a hole in the wall- be ready to wait to get in the door- in a way it's like eating in feudal Tokyo or Kyoto, very cramped and crowded and friendly. good food but the downside is that they only accept cash.
Aaron Sisk
Ramen was great and my favorite was the fried rice, we used a whole jar of garlic that comes on your table.

Best Ramen I've ever tried. Service is also fast with kind attention. I definitely recommend it
