We liked their simple food, but the kicks of flavor may not be for everyone!
Some of the dish we have is deff. a star (try their chef's favourite burger)!
We tried 3 of their menus, all of them were so flavourful. I wish they have room to balance it (the mashed potatoes was awesomely good).
Anyways, the place is great for casual dining and a good conversation with friends!

Yelped this place for “good burgers” years ago. Love the decor, inside or patio (kinda avoid patio given heat and plastic covering lately, maybe when winter comes)… staff’s friendly. Some very helpful and go the extra mile.
Used to get the Blueprint (blue cheese, bacon), but now go-to is double cheeseburger (w/o spread for me… their answer to In-N-Out double double). I even eat their ketchup with the fries, and I’m not a fan of ketchup; gf said it’s a bit sweet.
But I’ve had their kale salad, chili cheese fries, onion rings, special burgers like pineapple bbq burger (great!), fried chicken sandwiches, used to get Buffalo Cauliflower a lot (only place I’ve had it… usually I’m full after burger tho), sliders, and their drinks are great. Even had the cruller donuts once heh. Never disappointed.

The plan check has some pretty good food. Onion rings were amazing. Burgers were pretty good, expected a bigger patty. Definitely take advantage of happy hour. Off hours gets pretty expensive.

Cute neighborhood spot with outdoor covered patio, dog-friendly. They have cocktails and tea and finger foods, we usually bring our computers and work here with our dog occasionally. People are very nice, vegetarian items are limited. Outdoor patio is heated. This is right down the street from some pretty amazing Asian restaurant and bakeries. We usually park right in front of this restaurant. Some parts of this area seem slightly run down so I prefer visiting in the afternoon and not night.

This place was just perfect for a Sunday afternoon. I came with my partner for food and drinks and everything was great. The service was quick, I never had to ask for my iced tea to be refilled. It’s a bar environment with lots of restaurant seating. I will definitely be coming back with friends.

The Burgers are great. One should try once. They come with fries and it's a good portion for anyone who is very hungry. I felt they were a little expensive for the service and ambience. There is metered street parking available on the opposite side of the restaurant.

Good quality and tasty combinations. It's ok to order burgers medium rare! Ketchup leather has a strong tomato flavor, in a good way. The pig candy is so good. The cheese is melty perfect! Read about the umami cheese created there. Burgers include skin on fries with other options available with an upcharge. The onion rings are fantabulous! Best ever. The burger got a little dry by the edges. I prefer a messy juicy bite.
It's a bit pricey with burgers around $23 including a side of the delicious fries. An iced tea is $5. An IPA is $10. Total $40/person including tax and tip.

Came here for an impromptu lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. The waiters were attentive throughout our whole meal as well. We chose the truffle fries as an appetizer for the table, and they were so tasty! I ordered the salmon BLT, which was very delicious.

Google thinks that a $35 burger combo in this restaurant should be marked only as $$, while other restaurants with $15 burger combos are marked as $$ too. Don't be misled by this.
Burgers here are twice as expensive as in other restaurants, but aren't unique or special. I understand that the purpose of this place is too be a bar of some sort, but I rate only burgers. The portion size is ok, the taste is ok, but it isn't even close to the best burgers.

The food is so good, fresh and big. It's kind of hard to choose what to get cause so far no complaints. Must have the donuts....like eating air...lol!! One thing I love is for the greatness of the food the prices are just right. Don't take my word for it, go get some ✌️🔥

To help celebrate a couple January birthdays, we decided to check a new spot, Plan Check. With a party of 20+ people, we were pleasently surprised by the space and the diverse meals to accommodate many different food tastes. I went with the Plant Burger and was pleasently surprised. This was a vegan meal and thoroughly delicious. This was the closest plant-based burger I've had that close in taste to the actually meat equivalent. The staff was friendly and very accommodating for such a large party. Definitely looking forward to a return visit.

Came Sunday for lunch. Easy parking friendly service. Came with my friend to because he wanted BURGERS so why not choose one of the best burger joint by UCLA. This place also has a brunch menu that goes till 2pm and happy hour starting at 3pm. You have a choice of seating inside or outside patio with plenty of tables. They have a large selection of burgers and you can easily ask for for different sides. The chef does recommend your burgers to be cooked between medium and medium-rare; JUICY nonetheless! This place has alcohol obviously and perfect for a burger and beer joint.

I'd heard really great things about their burgers. The food lived up to the hype. The waiter was quick and friendly. He also made a custom order for my friend a custom vegan salad since they didn't have anything vegan on the menu. I would have liked to try the chicken sandwich too.

It was my first time to go here and I had veggie chips for starters and short ribs pot roast as my main dish. I enjoyed the food 👌🏼and service is good. 👍🏼 Too bad I am not a loud music kind of person. The setting is nice but the music was so loud inside, so we opted for the patio where we can talk normal. 😀

sadly the quality and the service has gone very downhill since Chef Ernesto has left. I have been going since day one happily. Unfortunately the new cooks are simply just that cooks that have no clue the difference between a medium rare burger and a well done burger. Management is running it like a bad cheesecake factory. We have been there three times in the last month as an office, hoping that it was just one bad experience but no, we had to keep sending food back every time. It is very unfortunate that the best burger in LA, perhaps the country in terms of consistency, has gone so downhill to simply an average burger at best.

Not impressed. Felt like a fish out of water being in our 60's...and treated as such. Truly a "yuppy" joint targeting the younger affluent crowd. I've had burgers 100 times better down the street with a much more impressive menu and flavor combinations for less money. You young ones can have this place all to yourselves, thank you.....

I had the best burger I've ever had at Plan Check. I went with the Chef's Favorite cooked medium and it was amazing. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. I'm also a huge hip-hop fan and they played '90s hip hop the entire time (at a nice background level)!!! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We had burgers and sweet potato waffle fries. Truly spectacular food and I appreciate the normal portion sizes. I'm small and have a hearty appetite, but most restaurants in the U.S. over feed us. Out server was Matthew and he was really fun and responsive. I look forward to going back.

I've been many times now, so I feel confident in my review. I've yet to have anything bad here. Great food, great cocktails, high-end libations such as various types of Yamazaki whiskey--this place is simply great! It gets a little crowded and loud in the inside dining area (but one might note it is a bar, after all), and it may seem a bit pricey, but it's definitely quality food. The butter lettuce salad, chef's favorite burger, and the blue print burger are all particularly good, but my advice is to check the specials board as you enter as they generally offer great items there as well.
