Review Du-par's Restaurant & Bakery - Los Angeles

A solid choice if you're looking for somewhere to eat. The food is tasty but a bit on the greasy side. Definitely fills you up quickly and the portion sizes are large. *Fries are very good *Pancakes are very fluffy but personally did not seem that special

Overall a very nice place to have a meal. One of the filming locations for the show #Bosh. We ordered 2 Eggs Benedict, and a short stack of pancakes. The Eggs Benedict came out first, with the idea being the pancakes were on their way. It's possible the Eggs Benedict had been sitting a while, or maybe they were just cooked wrong, as the yoke was solid, and not runny, as they normally should be. Overall the flavors were good, and the hasbrowns were perfect. By the time the pancakes came out, we were finished with our Benedicts, which was disappointing, as they were to be served together. The other downside was our server, who was not attentive, disappeared for long periods of time (drinks sat empty). When done, it took a while to get our check. This was our first visit to the LA location (have been to two of the Las Vegas locations). Maybe we caught them on a off day. Overall the food was pretty good, definitely need to improve service and kitchen output, but all in all a decent visit. Would come back.

We had a Sunday breakfast at Du-Pars on W 3rd Street this morning. We got there just after 9am and there already was a line. We waited for about 20mins before being seated inside. Our order: a short stack (3) of buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup, two eggs w/ pork sausages and a couple of glasses of freshly squeezed orange juice. The pancakes were amazing! But I still don’t know how people eat a full stack…they are ginormous! The eggs and sausage were pretty decent. I’m not a huge fan of the hash browns though (just a personal preference). Customer service was great and the location is awesome (just at the entrance of The Original Farmer’s Market). Highly recommended.

Old fashioned diner serving breakfast food and sandwiches. Located next to the grove farmer’s market. You can get parking validated for eating here (90 min limit). Got the regular order (3 stack) pancakes and it was quite filling, thankfully I did not order the 5 stacker. The sandwich combo with salad and cake was a good deal. The mango peach cheesecake was tasty. Servers are nice and don’t bother you much after you get your food. They seemed to be quite busy so you need to flag someone to get help.

Classic diner atmosphere with good quality food. The short stack pancakes are huge so I definitely recommend sharing with someone. Good selection of food options and pastries. Service was great too. We came in at the right time around 8:00am on Sunday before the wait started at 8:30-9:00am. Parking validation also included to waive parking fee up to 2 hours.

If I could eat this meal every day, I would. It's like Thanksgiving, but not as gluttonous. The turkey was tender, the stuffing was flavorful, and the mashed potatoes were creamy. The side of cranberry relish brought it all together!

Went on a Saturday morning and waited in line for about 5 minutes. They offered indoor or outdoor seating. There was 4 of us and we sat inside at a booth. The restaurant was pretty full. JR was our server and was very friendly and attentive. Food was fresh and delicious. Definitely will return.

Farmers Market is always an Adventure. This is the first time we stopped at this historic restaurant. We were delighted: great service, fantastic food, and quaint historic Atmosphere.

Original pancakes are served here! We came back twice during our stay since it was so good. We tried the French toast as well and they were tasty too. Maybe a bit heavy, so be prepared to skip lunch 😁

We sat outside and it was nice and cozy. We had pancakes (regular ones, with strawberries), orange juice and coffee. It was very good food. We paid a bit much for my taste (30$ with tips), about 25$ without. Portions are big! Staff is ok, average polite and caring. Not too much available when you call them.

Just had the best service from a young gentleman named Alec. From a baby boomers perspective, there may still be hope for this country after we are gone.

I've gone there since I was a kid. I still think they have the best pancakes I've ever had!

Indifferent wait staff. Menu items not available. 90 minute parking restrictions with TOWING guaranteed. Bad food. After going here since the 1960's I am very sad to say I will not be going back.

We had the corned beef reuben and it was bad. Three thick slices of tough corned beef and it was very fatty. Asked for a side of ranch and it comes right before the bill. Didn't even get our waters refilled. Place was not busy at 3:00 PM. Brent's Deli in Northridge makes you look bad!

I had a wonderful first time dining at this lengenday restaurant this past sunday. Me and my friend were seated right away. The food is delicious, prices are reasonable, the wait staff is friendly. The pancakes i had were amazing. I've never had such a satisfying stack of pancakes in my life.

Long time customer of Du-par’s at the Farmers Market. But after seeing the recent menu prices, sadly will not be going back. Way over-priced.

I work at the original Du-Pars at the farmers SC market when Gilmore own the property it was the first open aired market and Dutch pars was the only inside resturant then it was a great place to work sal so the owners were Mr Dunn and a mister Parsons. They were good to there help I have not been in the resturant for some time a lot of things have changed since then I know that Naylor bought them out . I work for them 28 years . I am glad that Naylor has kept the name
