So we were recommended to try the chicken here. Really enjoyed the chicken, though be warned, the 'hot' is really spicy. I typically eat spicy food on a regular basis, and I couldn't handle anything more than 'hot'. Even 'hot' was too spicy for me, and I had to cool it down with water and coleslaw. There is limited space to sit down and eat. We had to wait in line to get the food because of its popularity. Be aware that there are not many vegetarian options as well.

The food is great even when cold. DO NOT use delivery. They took over an hour to get to us, and I had to listen to the driver complain about how hard it is to find my place. Make sure to get dipping sauce if you get the tenders. The sando 2.0 was delicious and the honey sauce is something that you want to pour over everything. The shells and cheese looked like a pile of mashed potatoes but tasted amazing. If you are going to visit this place make sure to come in and pick up your food yourself.

I was super excited to check out Howlin’ Ray’s one of the last few spots that serve hot chicken that I’ve been wanting to try. First of all amazing amazing amazing customer service, they walk you through everything so well. I went with the chicken & waffles - since it was only served on the weekend I figured why not, and I paired that with a side of fries & Mac & cheese. And a side of their special sauce & honey mustard. All of this for $30 bucks. I opted for the chicken tenders with my waffles - and the chicken itself was amazing I got medium+, thank you to the cashier for putting me on the secret heat level because I was contemplating between medium & hot and it was amazing. The waffles tasted like cheap hotel self serve making waffles I did not enjoy. The fries were kinda all crunch, there was no potato on the inside. And the Mac and cheese needed a lot more seasoning. Overall I would give this place a solid 3.5/5 because the chicken is go good. I will also be back to try the sando.

I will say the chicken sandwich was very good, but I would not stand in line for more than one hour. Luckily I was in line for about 40 to 45 minutes which apparently isn’t too bad for this place on a Sunday. When I couldn’t decide on spicy level, the guy who rang me up, warned me that it was very spicy. I didn’t believe it, but he gave me a little nugget to try and man was he right! I’m glad he gave me a piece because I would’ve been regretting my decision. It really sucks that they don’t really have much of a seating area. There was a really good parking right across the street for I think five dollars.

Although we queued for close to an hour but the chicken was worth the wait. Chicken was juicy (beware of the spice), slaw was well balanced, banana pudding was yums (diff from magnolia bakery but still hits the spot) and service from LEE at the cashier was extremely welcoming (he def made our experience a 10/10 esp since we travelled all the way down just to try). Thank you LEE!! Update: we also had another guy with a pikachu tattoo on the arm (didn’t manage to get his name but thank you) that came by to check in to see how’s the food - service here is incredible despite it being a casual diner (surprised how service goes above any average restaurant without being tip $ motivated). Would def recommend everyone to come by to try. Great experience!

We found this restaurant from the above reviews on Google Maps. I am very satisfied with my choice to the extent that I will go again. It is very rare for me to go to a restaurant twice because I like to experience more restaurants rather than the same restaurant several times... as you can see in the photo and video inside the restaurant There is no place to sit... there is a long line to order.... FOOD: the taste of the food was excellent...➡️Christy's chicken did not smell of burnt oil and stale....the fries were fried with breadcrumbs and It was unique...the portion of fries is big enough, one is enough for two people...the restaurant is located in downstairs of a small bazaar that is a nice place to see...go and enjoy🙂

Best Nashville hot chicken in LA (and maybe all of California)! The wait used to be 1-2hrs, but since the Pasadena location opened for sit down service, this one changed to takeout, which reduced the wait down to around 20 minutes. You can eat your meal at one of the tables on the outside of the restaurant. As always, I enjoy interacting with every worker there. The chicken sandwich is great (spicy levels past medium are very spicy), and this time I tried the chicken and waffles, which was also terrific (albeit very messy to eat).

What really shines here is their amazing customer service. I am amazed how friendly and helpful they are. Their chicken sando will be the best you had in LA. It’s freshly made, hot, crispy and tender. I also ask for the house sauce to go with the chicken tenders and the French fries. Medium spicy is not too spicy so I recommend you try it. It’s just slightly more spicier than chick fil a spicy sandwich. I went on Wednesday at 11:10. Waited in line for 30 min and ate there. I highly recommend you eat there since your chicken and fries are fried. It won’t be as good if you let it sit in a box.

For those of you spicy lovers like me, THIS PLACE IS IT! The hot is definitely sort of spicy! Everything above that is definitely fighting territory of my spice tolerance. The cashier was extremely funny and everyone was very nice! They even gave us a tester tender to try to test our heat tolerance. I grew up eating Nashville hot chicken from places like Bolton’s, Pepperfire, Prince and this place takes it up a notch!

First off they have a fantastic staff. Super friendly and very nice. Great Food, Large portions, and if u want the heat.. they can bring it!! Only downside is parking, no inside eating, only 2 tables for outside eating, and plan on waiting 30 minutes in line.
