Everything about Beauty & Essex was amazing. From the brick alley way to the ultra cool pawn shop you enter into. Once inside the decor is absolutely beautiful! We were sested by the manager RC, who immediately gave us several new items on the menu that he recommended. The service was excellent our server gave us several suggestions and they were all delicious. Even the runners were knowledgeable about the menu. Desserts were to die for, and it was my girlfriends birthday and they made it very special for her. We even got a tour of all the private rooms by RC, who was so charming! All the selfie cameras they have around made it really on point and modern. Can’t wait to ho back for brunch very soon!!! Fantastic experience!

Can seem difficult to reach the right people who can guarantee room for a large group, nonetheless, well worth the effort. We enjoyed the patio almost exclusively for my party and once the table was set, the service was excellent. I again found the food to be far superior to that of Vegas and on par with the top of LA. Why this venue over others? B&E allows you to eat, party and lounge, with so many other great venues adjacent - B&E bars, Highlight Room, TAO lounge, and, Avenue, not to mention Mama Shelter, Sayers, Cahenga and Hollywood Bl options, steps away. I recommend this place for any Birthday party, celebration, or, fun night out!

The food, ambiance, and service is exquisite. Creative dishes, mostly hit, are fun and flavorful. Perfect location and the inside is thoughtful down to every detail. Service was impeccable. The chocolate cake was divine... a must try!

It's tucked in at a very trendy spot in Sunset/Hollywood area. Decor is really cool and fun. From entrance to inside the restaurant, look around and enjoy the decor and architecture. We were there for a special occasion and it's definitely an experience and an evening to remember. Food and service was great and would recommend to friends looking for an evening out.

I recently dined at Beauty and Essex in Los Angeles for my friends birthday and it was an absolutely stunning experience. From the moment I walked in, I was transported to a glamorous and chic world. The decor is simply stunning, with glittering chandeliers, plush velvet seating, and stylish accents everywhere you look. As for the food, it was simply amazing. The drinks were strong and enjoyable. The menu features a wide range of delicious dishes, from classic comfort food to more upscale options. Once we left, we definitely left full and satisfied. What we ate: Appetizers: Kale & Apple salad Grilled cheese & tomato soup dumplings Tuna poke wonton tacos Beauty & Essex Cheeseburger sliders Entree: Oven braised chicken meatballs Roasted salmon Sides: Mac & Cheese Togarashi Fries Desserts: Berries & cream Milk shake shots The service was also top-notch. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, and the rest of the staff were equally professional and helpful. Overall, I highly recommend Beauty and Essex to anyone looking for a truly special dining experience in Los Angeles. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a night out with friends, this restaurant is sure to impress.

You can’t go wrong with this spot if you’re trying to have a nice dinner! Not too busy on a weekday and the ambiance is great. The seafood and steak frites were absolutely amazing, nothing was underwhelming. The drinks are tasty too. Only thing that was lacking was the service, waited for about 15 minutes for the check while our server kept passing us by. Otherwise the meal is def worth trying once.

Came for the drinks and wow they were worth it! Great chill spot at 6pm but it does get super busy! The drinks I had were super refreshing and delicious I will be back! It’s also super clean and they sanitize everything which is super amazing for a bar/restaurant. The spice was perfection!!!

The live quartet belting sultry songs hits your ear drums from the brick alley entry. Walk through the guitar laden vintage shop into the restaurant passed the wall of ballerinas and giant chandelier, passed the quartet, and arrive at the bar. Lead glass doors take you left to the cool open air courtyard. The vaulted and sculptured- ceiling-dining room is to your right. The half dome booths and tufted love seats make the voluminous, 30 ft high main dining room very cozy. The low lighting and grey walls embossed with a silver and bronze design attracts your eye. The Bombay gin martini was delicious. The poke tacos and the thai firecracker shrimp were both unctuous and delicious. The cauliflower "bolognese" with spinach fettuccine to me was good, but not that yum guttural noise inducing you're looking for. My mother however said it tasted like home cooking. She loved it. My buddy sent over a martini and the desert wheel. The choco/ crème caramel tarts and macarons were my favs. Its a lit up rotating ferris wheel of petits deserts, a stunning presentation. The warm butter cake with berries and a spoon of scratch made chantilly was delicious. Even though it was Sunday night about 830pm, I'm shocked we did not need a reservation. Beautiful people everywhere. The ambiance oozed from every corner, even the private room upstairs where a large group seemed to be having an amazing award celebration. We will come back for the branzino and the ribeye when we have more appetite.

A friend and I came here for their NYE celebration. Let me just say, if you haven't been here, the place was confusing to find because our Uber driver dropped us off on the main street. The place was really cute and they had a nice little stairway going to their upstairs dining. Our reservations was at 10pm and we didn't get seated until 1030pm. So that was disappointing to wait that long when we had made reservations. I get it, it was a busy night, but wished they had thought it out based on reservation time. However, overall the pre-planned course menu was delicious. We loved everything about it. The steak was perfectly seasoned. The fish was delicious and cooked perfectly. Drinks itself was delicious. Definitely would come back to eat here and recommend to try.

First off, the drinks, food, and service are spectacular. Every bite of food is thoughtful, and exquisite. Service is on point without hovering. My only quibble is that the restaurant is very loud and boisterous. I wish the atmosphere was relaxing to better enjoy the experience. Even if they lowered the volume of the music, and perhaps chose music more conducive to fine dining, I would love this place a lot.

The space has a hip, warm vibe. There are numerous seating options - courtyard, main dining room, and bar. Food is good. I had the ‘Grilled Cheese, Smoked Bacon & Tomato Soup Dumplings’, blue cheese crusted steak, and the ‘Berries & Cream’ butter cake. The bar has extensive cocktail and wine options.

The food is great, innovative and delicious. The ambience is really nice whether you sit inside or outside. The one drawback was the service. First it took an usual long time between courses. We were just sitting around waiting. Then our server never came back so I had to go hunt him down for our check and he looked like he was offended when I asked nicely for check. All in all I would recommend this establishment but don't go if you're looking for a quick in and out.
