Review A.o.c. - Los Angeles

Amazing visit! Suzanne was so accommodating and even sent complimentary drinks our way. The food was amazing; halibut was incredibly seasoned and the steak was to die for. Recommend ordering sides as serving sizes are slightly on the smaller side. The fingerling potatoes were good but honestly a little under-salted. House made bread was soft on the inside and has delicious crispy crust. All in all we will be back—every single member of staff was on their A-game and I’ll be thinking about the halibut for a long time.

I dine here frequently and I should've reviewed them sooner. A.O.C is always a classic place to visit. Always consistent. It never disappoints. No wonder it survived many years of economic climates. It has been awarded by numerous critics and is always hailed one of the best. I always feel "at home" whenever I come here. The best!!

The food here is absolutely delicious. We came for their prefixed menu on New Year’s Eve and every single item that we chose was absolutely amazing, it was also the perfect portion size for us. The crab fritters was so good and every ingredient that was combined for the dishes were so perfect. The cheesecake was phenomenal and I would definitely go back to try their regular menu.

Lovely atmosphere to have Sunday brunch. Made a reservation and was seated right away. The waiter was nice and attentive without having to ask for anything. My only negative was that my party and I were sharing all of the food and we requested that everything be brought out at the same time and it was not leaving some of the food cold. We were also a little disappointed in the Spanish Friend Chciken and waffles as it wasn't as flavorful as we thought it would be, but thankfully we also ordered the sweet potato hash which was much better. We came around 1030 am or so which was perfect because it can get really crowded especially on Sundays. There is some street parking and valet is available.

The chicken and waffles and the crab omelette are must try. The service staff are very nice and friendly. Will definitely come back for more.

I must say I had such a pleasant experience at this restaurant. Firstly the valet service was really on point. Walking in we were greeted by pleasant people. You really felt like they were happy to have you. We were offered a nice booth which still was spacious and separated from others. There are options here to eat on the patio area also but we chose indoors. Had a great experience with our server Suzanne and also Mike. There was another guy can't remember his name but I know that his son also worked there before or presently he was great. We felt like royalty, thank you. The food was great and tasty. To top it off the wait wasn't long and it was Mother's Day oh, wow.

Interior is half indoors half outdoors, with the indoor portion evoking 50s Italian speakeasy with booths in the back and the outdoor portion evoking ambient trattoria or vineyard private table. Brick walls, wood, vines, and tiles galore. I had the women's flight special, and all three selections were very nice, getting deeper with more tannin with every glass. Food was great, cheese was phenomenal. Dessert, sinful. Valet is $12. Overall, would come again.

Hostess was kind of a train wreck but everything else was spectacular!!! The Spanish fried chicken rocks. The pasta was on point! The soft shell pasta was fantastic. Waitress was very accommodating. Don't try the octopus squid rice if your not into very "seafood" tasting dishes. You'll know what I mean if you try it. I was, however, puzzled by why the consumer has to pay an extra 5% for health insurance for its employees. I'm all for insurance but shouldn't that come out of the owners' expenses and not charge on top of what they are charging? Bizarre. Didn't have an issue paying it this time but it is very hard to swallow when you do not get a waiter like ours today.

A.O.C is a cute wine bar serving market focused small plates that highlight the fresh flavors of each season. The wine list is extensive and the cocktails are all unique with a twist. This was the perfect setting for a girls night as we got to try a variety of menu items paired with our delicious cocktails. @eatswithedith on Instagram for more detailed reviews! 🍽Ordered: 1. The farmer’s plate - roasted vegetables, hummus, burrata & grilled toast: 10/10 I could taste how fresh the grilled veggies were and the toast was so great with the different dipping options. The burrata was super fresh and light while the hummus was dense and flavorful. 2. Focaccia with grilled white trumpet mushrooms, asiago, taleggio & sherry: 9/10 This dish was decadent and pungent. The mushrooms had an overpowering fragrance and added an earthy taste to the strong cheese. 3. Grilled sea bream, coconut rice, spicy greens, cashews & kumquat sambal: 10/10 This was one of the highlights of the night! The spicy marinade was so delicious and the coconut rice gave this dish a nice balance of sweetness. 4. Clams, sherry, green garlic & toast: 10/10! All I can say is.. I could eat 10 pieces of toast with the amazing sauce that the clams were cooked in. This dish reminds me a lot of the clams dish at DAMA which I adore as well. 5. Weiser farm fingerlings, crème fraîche & chives: 6/10 The texture of this dish threw me off as I like crispy potatoes a lot more than mashed. Also, the creme fraiche was a bit overpowering and overall the dish lacked flavor. 6. Chocolate torte - hazelnut praline, espresso cream & candied hazelnuts: 7/10 This dessert had a strong chocolate flavor which I liked! 💰Price: $88/person with 2 drinks

This is definitely the best restaurant in Los Angeles. The staff, Dominic and server Whitney went above and beyond. Never mind the bar!!

Sunday brunch was very nice. Great service, ambiance and delicious food. We sat outside it was perfect and the staff didn’t rush which made it even better.

Okay; good wine list. Spanish fried chicken was great. However, service and food delivery was slower than molasses and restaurant was very loud.

Beautiful flow to the menu. Room is perfection. Service is attentive, not precious and fluent in the full menu. How does this place only get better...?

My first time here. My son snd daughter in law were with me, they have dined here before. Server was most attentive to our food allergies. Each dish was sooo tasty. I will most definitely return and bring friends.

Food is decent, good wait staff, and nice ambiance. Freshly squeezed OJ looked and tasted horrible and should not be served. Did not have crabmeat for what I ordered (toast with avocado and crab) so I asked for shrimp substitution which they were happy to oblige. It tasted average. This restaurant is overrated and overpriced.

Great service, a creative and wonderful menu, elegant indoor/ outdoor flow and a nice price point, you can't go wrong here.

As always this restaurant didn't disappoint. The hostess however was less then friendly and that's super sad when it's the first person you come in contact with. Full blown attitude. She should be replaced!!

The Spanish style fried chicken is amazing. This was the best dinner at a restaurant I have ever had.
